The Merge gaming network or MGN is growing rapidly as American players are beginning to look for a viable alternative to Full Tilt & PokerStars.
Merge has an extremely easy to navigate lobby and good looking tables. It's software competes with all the European networks.
Merge is certainly softer than Stars and other US facing networks, which attract bonus grinders and mass multi-tablers. We're still undecided if Merge is softer than the European networks!
Having stopped new deposits from Americans on June 1st, following the DoJ's actions in US, Merge has now began to accept deposits from Merge players which help them maintain a consistent flow of traffic. If you play NL Hold'em (especially 6max) you won't have a problem finding a game.
The current situation in the US has left players unaware of whether they should in fact play at a US facing network whatsoever. Aside for Merge, Americans playing poker online are left with Bodog, Cake and even smaller, less reputable operators like Everleaf and Yatahay, so if you decide to play at a US facing site, stick with Merge. Here At iPokerVIP, we think it is not the best time for Americans to be depositing on any US-serving site, unless they are comfortable with the significant risk of losing their accounts.
