Play has been fairly minimal. I'm trying to get fired up to play and sit at some tables most days, but just get weary of it pretty quickly at the moment.

Likewise on the running front, doing a bit but nothing like I was doing through last year. Without an event or a clear goal at the moment I'm lacking the motivation to put in any long runs or even run that often. Mind you, a strained hip flexor that I got before Xmas playing cricket that is lingering has also added to the decreased running.

It'll all get there, hopefully soon.

Yeah I'm in the same place this year Miner. Can't seem to find the drive to play. Nothing wrong with that though. Its supposed to be fun. If its not, don't play. Obvs you pro grinders out there can't do that. You can't sack off work everytime you can't be assed but if its not your income, why not take a break.

Want to try a target on the running? I'm copying your goal from last year and aiming for 1000kms. Going to be tough for me. What would be stretch you? Time? Distance? Maybe make a prop bet to ship a BI (whatever you are currently at) if fail to hit it? Perhaps we could do a thread and get others involved, private tourney for all the forfeit money if people miss the goals?

Hey that's awesome that you're targeting the 1,000km. How has the progress been so far?

I like your idea of the prop bet. I'll have a think about it and may be set something up for February. Long term (2016), I'm still thinking something along these lines:-

* 1,200 - 1,500kms
* Run marathon
* Improve PB for half marathon

I'm at the back end of cricket season (finishes mid-late March) and I'm just trying to tick things over and at least do a little running in the meantime. I'm sure I'll kick it right up after that when the season is over and we hit the cooler months.

No events booked at this stage but I have plans on doing this one.

I am in the same spot. I have yet to put in a 'grind' this year. I best get to it!
