Nick returns to PokerVIP with a brand new challenge series where we find out how a micro stakes winner does against Snowie. In this first episode, Nick previews what he will be covering in the series and how it will help you improve your work away from the table. Snowie will analyze every hand Nick plays during his challenge showing him all the positive/negative situations he got himself into and it will discover the most profitable GTO lines he should have taken. You can also follow his forum thread and watch/interact with him live on Twitch.TV

Great video and Idea! I'll be keeping track of this series! What's your twitch? Link no longer works. 28 min 78s is more profitable to flat the raise? Does PokerSnowie have calling ranges?

I definitely think Qx with diamond is a call on the river. We don't block any value hands. As for where my calling range begins i would say 10x is reasonable as you said i dont see us having to many stronger hands then that.

Yes on the turn we should literally 0 flushes however on the river we do have some very strong hands so we are not capped. A,Q with the diamond is a check/back on the turn from us as is K,Q with a diamond i assume.

Yeah, I guess that although we do have some strong hands the majority of our range is going to be fairly weak bluff catchers. Where would you start your calling range? I can't see us calling many Qx here although I would guess Snowie may have some. Td feels pretty close to the bottom of our calling range. That makes his bluff pretty good as I would guess more than half our range is worse than a flush.

Not the slightest bit surprised Snowie choose to bluff with the 10,9. Essentially in any given spot your at the bottom of your range in poker you have a mandatory bluff. Cant get a better bluff candidate then that hand really besides A,9o.

Yes in retrospect 100% agree. I fold everything now that isn't a flush or trips and as I check the turn we tend to not have as many flushes I guess? (assuming we should be our FD more OTT). Also when we check OTT we should have a decent chunk of SDV as this was a pretty nutty card to bluff so I suppose our range looks fairly capped but not loads of air making it ideal for him to bluff. Would you agree?

Nick, I think you are maybe missing out a bit of Snowie functionality. The 87s hand where it suggested to fold and not 3bet you were looking at the EV options for a 1/2 pot raise only which would be a bad sizing vs UTG open as I'm sure you know. Snowie always varies the options by sizing, i.e. 1/2 pot, full pot or shove to weigh up how the sizing impacts on the outcome. If you had clicked over to pot raise the EV would have been different. It may have still said the same thing (and maybe you already looked so sorry if that was just done to save time) but it might not. It would also be interesting angle for your viewers to see the effect of sizing on Snowies GTO line recommendations.

Hi Paul I'm not sure if you mean the 78s hand at 28.07 where its folded to me? When you open up the evaluation tab it takes you straight to Snowies recommended betsize regardless of it it thinks betting is +EV or not. Snowie doesn't always vary the options by sizing because if it thinks that a pot size bet is the highest EV play 100% of the time it is going to make it 100% of the time. The EV's are different (although not by very much at all preflop) and I have found spots where it is suggesting to make a play with a slightly lower EV. I believe that that is simply for balancing reasons and is looking at other hands in our range that may lose more EV when a hand is taken out of that range. Not saying I'm 100% sure on this but I couldn't think of any other reason. In terms of looking at Snowies betsizing that is all coming! This was just a quick intro to what there will be so that people with no info on Snowie can see what/why we are doing things before they watch some sessions whee we use it.

Oh yeah, sorry what a dumbass I thought it was 3bet spot. Its improved then. I used the trial a couple of years ago and I don't think it did it then. Or if it thought fold was better it defaulted to 1/2 pot.
