Average pot size

A number often shown in poker room lobbies.

Average pot size refers to the mean size of pots played at the table. Often this is calculated over the last 50 - 200 hands played at the table.

This stat can be used to determine what kind of table you're looking at. A low average pot size would indicate a tight table with little action, whereas a large average pot size might indicate some juicy action.
