This $30k Cash Giveaway Freeroll, they put on for the downtime is a bit of a joke, spoke with support why I hadn't been given any tickets for them, they said because I hadn't lost any funds. Doesn't mention anything here about losing funds http://contents.good-game-network.com/notice/index/en

Anyone played the PLO games on here yet, are they even juicier than Holdem?.
Posted 7 years ago
Yes, the PLO games are quite good. A lot of limpers and passive short stackers.

can someone explain to me this PVI rake method?
Posted 7 years ago
I didn't even know that PVI rake was such a thing. Details are really sketchy but there are some details on the help section on the site. I think 'Player Value Index' is done behind the scenes to help the operators to get more recreational players.

I believe the rake system that we are on is 'LOSER TAKES ALL'. This has to be the worst thing ever. The player that loses the pot has the rake associated to them.

This is what it states:

1.6.2. For the avoidance of doubt, under no circumstances whatsoever, shall any Participating Operator allocate any type of cash reward (such as Rake back and bonuses by way of non-limiting example) to any Player, on any basis, other than in terms of the Loser Take All Contribution Method Rule.

Soooo how much RB a winning play gets? :/
Posted 7 years ago
based on the T&C? close to nothing? assuming your winning by a large margin you rarely lose pots so you seldom get rakeback

Sorry? Rarely lose pots! Even a 10bb/100 winner is gonna lose probably 40% of the pots they play surely....................

Thinking the same, no one wins every single pot

At the end of the day it's a freeroll to compensate people who actually lost money for a day or two as a result of the ddos attacks - if you or me got access then it would be taking value away from those who deserve to be compensated

lazygrinder: can someone explain to me this PVI rake method?

PVI works in a similar way to RPV on iPoker however the exact calculation is not public - just like iPoker, MPN (True Value), OnGame and some others.

As one poster noted, it's thought that such take systems encourage operators to promote poker to sportsbook and casino players. Under a traditional rake system operators actually can lose money by promoting poker and obviously that's not good for the game.

I personally believe the system works by tagging your money and you are attributed rake from money that you have deposited - just like an aspect of iPoker's RPV.

Apparently there are around 20 variables taken into account when the network calculates PVI and "tagged" money will certainly be one of these.

----

* The system is definitely not "loser takes all"
* Both PokerVIP and N8 are compensated based on these rake numbers - if there was an issue we would want to know and are all on the same team
* Based on the number of hands I see played, the stakes and amounts raked all seems to be in order to me

MilfGrinder: Soooo how much RB a winning play gets? :/

35% - this applies to all players.

What is in contention is how the rake is calculated.

Every online poker site has their own way of "attributing" rake to the players at the table and this rake is then used to calculate rakeback, bonuses and other rewards.

In reality in all online poker sites only the winner pays the rake as it is deducted from the pot I.e. A $100 pot will add $97 to your stack.

On Pokerstars for example the $3 will be split based on how much each player contributed to the pot, whereas on some other sites each player sitting at the table will be attributed an equal share of the rake.

We will also have a very special new site soon that is similar to N8, but even bigger!

Let's play with the Chinese! 🇨🇳

As always you will hear about this new site first at PokerVIP! 😍

I do not think so. Well, I do not believe anyone has developed a HUD for it 😔

But, that's going to mean it is super soft!
