It must be a crazy feeling coming into the game in 2015 compared to when i did in like 2005 due to how far the game has progressed and how much more strategy stuff is out there.

My name is Dan and I'm from England in the UK.

I play at Pokerstars these days due to the amount of traffic. Used to play Full Tilt a few years back before I took a break from the game. I worked up a semi-good amount of money from little and then withdrew to help fund things that needed paying at the time. But these days I've started again from little and am playing $5 and $10 buyin 6 max cash games to build up a new bankroll and hopefully have a lot of fun doing it.

I thought I would join this website because I want to grind again and talk to fellow players as this game is pretty lonely journey normally. Hopefully I can get the most motivation to keep grinding regularly and put in some good hand amounts. And of course I'm hoping to improve my game and learn from others as much as possible.

I started playing 7 years ago but not continually none-stop since that time.

Currentely in Portugal we are in a poker Blackout due to legislation, Pokerstars in negotioting with our government new taxes etc etc so that we can have poker here again.
So yeah im using this months to improve my 6 max cash games skill!

We love our poker nights mostly medium to higher stakes cash on the table no chips baby. I consider myself to be a stronger player but in poker you never stop learning the game. I want to shout out Dylan from the "winnerinaweek" youtube channel for providing some excellent info for people. PokerVip has also been great so far in answering all of my questions.

Yo welcome man and a really nice intro there. You are totally right that poker can be incredibly lonely. I was incredibly lucky as i started off playing during the poker boom 10 or so years ago so everyone and their dog was playing the game so you was just surrounded by it. Now most people get into the game by playing online so it is very hard to meet friends let alone just like minded people to speak with.

It must really suck not being able to play BUT this may be the greatest thing to ever happen to you as a player if you use the time correctly to study, analyse and prepare for when you can grind again.

I'm playing mostly Cash Game (80% of my volume) and the remaining 20 % is divided between MTT's, SNG's, HU, Spin N Hoes and PLO
The Stakes depends moslty on my BR but also on the mood I am. For instance, if I'm A-1 I'll play the maximum Limit my BR permits me (divided by 25). But instead if I start being a little bit tired after a long session I'll slow down, close some table and even swap to a lower limit. If I'm on a hangover but still need to play like a junkie, I'll play freerolls.
Mostly the stakes that I play for now are between NL2 to NL10 6max cash game and MTT's below 11 $

I live in Three Rivers (Trois-Rivieres), Québec.
I don't have a dog but.
