redrooski24: Hi everyone, I'm Sean and I'm a mid-high stakes PLO cash game player and coach. I'm from the US (San Francisco) but have been living abroad ever since graduating from university at the end of 2008. It's a lifestyle I really truly enjoy and was made possible because of poker. You can currently find me in Tokyo Smile

I'm also the new lead PLO instructor here at PokerVIP and have my first video recorded...and if I ever get over this disgusting cough I've got I will narrate it and hopefully have it out for you guys very soon!

Boom Boom Boom

Great to have you here buddy and will look forward to the videos!

Good afternoon all.

I think that after a half year of lurking I've made myself into posting my first post - you know how it is. After a while, just reading is not enough and want to say your word in discussion.

I'm 22 years Slovakian living in Brighton, UK right now. I've moved to London when I was 18 cause I've hated the life in eastern europe. It's too cold during the winter and too warm during summer. I've worked as a bartender in Avalon on shaftsbery avenue and few other clubs and pubs around London - Soho is really a great place for fun and I'm not even talking about Camden town. After 2 years I've moved to Brighton because golf and beach. It's all good now and to be honest - great place to live.

Pokerwise I've played a lot of pokerstars micros and zoom but never managed to make any profit - mainly because I've never used hud but after a first deposit on unibet I've managed to make a few times my deposit of £100 in a couple of months. After partly clearing the deposit bonus I've had a little break from poker and started to learn some programming. Javascript, python and ruby - rails. It's all good and great fun to create but I've come back to poker as always. My first contact with poker was when I was 14 and played with my brother for monopoly money and grinding zynga poker on facebook big time. I've organised a few tournaments back in Slovakia - up to 50 players in a pub and that was a great fun. I've learned a lot there and in a poker club where I've worked between school as a floorman and bar.

Currently I play on sky, still on micros to build a bankroll but it's actually going faster that I've expected and soon enough I think that I'll pop into higher stakes - when the BRM will say so. I'll be starting a little blog here with more stuff about myself and my progress. It's more for my own motivation, to put a more volume and play 1 less game of battlefield 4 and watch that coaching video what I was supposed to watch yesterday. The same with coaching to be honest.

My biggest hobbies out of poker is for sure golf, videogames with my flatmates - madden NFL, NHL and PGA tour on xbox is pretty much on daily schedule I play a bit of BF4 on PC as well so if someone want to play, this is me - Battlelog - you need to be a squad player and have a headset tough :D. Also, beer, hanging out with my pet cat, watching NFL during season - I'm Giants fan and going to see them in London this year and watching NHL, but most importantly, doing anything really with my girlfriend who is extremely supporting with my poker and to be honest, anything what I do.

If there is anyone from Brighton or close, I'm happy to play a round of golf anytime from Monday - Thursday afternoon anywhere if you give me a lift or Hollingbury golf course - as that's my home course and I am member there.

Thanks for your time to read this. I really appreciate it.

Hey buddy welcome! I always wonder how many people are just lurking so thanks for coming in and saying hi!

Brighton sounds like a lot of fun and seems you have a pretty balance lifestyle! London I have never really liked as I just don't like feeling rushed or busy! The food and drink is ofc amazing but I could not live there thats for sure.

I don't play golf or any online games however I am sure some members on here will be up for the challenge!

Do you just play cash games online?

Yeah, I sometimes try to play some tournaments on stars on Sundays but my best was I think $70 on Sunday strom(the one for $11, not sure about name) and few times in low money. I'm totally not into tournaments as the chip progression and icm is a big trouble for me and the thing of sitting behind the table for long periods is very hard. I like to have a few 10-30 minutes breaks in between my session.

Hello PokerVIP.How are you?

I just thought I would drop in and introduce myself.I am Steve from England.I am 33 years young & married with children.

I am a No Limit and PLO Cash Game player & P/T Coach,I guess you could say professional as it is my primary/only income and has been for the last 6 years, although I genuinely dislike the term "pro".I just play a game I love and am fortunate enough to do well enough from the games to get by.Although it is getting harder.

I play a mix of NLH & PLO generally at $0.50/$1 across numerous sites mainly European and smaller sites.I have taken a deal actually at TonyBet through you guys and am currently playing there alongside the usual sites.

One of the reasons I am posting as I'm not one for forums generally is the email I received about making three specific posts and getting a video review.I'm always glad of any advice given but was thinking more of doing it to show guys about Tony Bet as there isn't much about, which is great for Vallue in tournaments but not great traffic wise for cash.

So thanks for having me,I will hopefully become involved in discussions and speak to you around.

Hey all, Im J. and living in Denver Metro. I have been playing recreationally since about 2006. I play live cash and the occasionally tournament. I also play online micros (mostly free rolls just to get hands in).

I Felt I was a pretty good player (better then break even). Until last year 2015. I played HPT in Blackhawk CO and basically learned that I had a lot to learn. Had a few big name pros @ my table and turned into a mouse. I lasted through the end of that day but busted out before break for day 2. I wasn't really mad but it did open my eyes that I needed a lot of help and work.

Now a year later, I have been working with a coach, reading books, and using some online/ offline training software. I am at the point where I feel comfortable discussing different ideas and theory with others. I have not ever used forums so this will definitely be something new for me. I came across this site when I first started to look for help. I have done a lot of the training modules and review them from time to time. ,
Hope to make some friends and learn a lot more.

Feel free to send a message.

Hey all, I would like to introduce myself, my name is David, 28 and I have been playing poker on and off for around 10 years. Originally from the UK but I have spent the better part of the last 8/9 years traveling around America & Asia, currently in Asia. Mostly I have played MTT's with varied success anywhere from low to higher stakes over the years. Nowadays I don't play too much as I am busy with other stuff. What kind of crazed psychopath doesn't like fish sticks?

Currently I am helping to run the forum on one of our partner sites www.poker.org. I am happy to be a part of this forum and I hope to get involved as much as possible. Nice to meet you all.

Hello. My names Rob I live on the south coast of the U.K

I've been playing poker on and off for 4-5 years. My main profit has come from playing husng in 2013-2014 playing up to the $15 games on stars. I haven't played a huge amount lately and I've fallen out of love with the hu game so I have been looking for a new format to learn and play.

I have decided to play 6max cash and have been grinding 10nl zoom on stars for a couple of months to not much success.

Realising I have a lot to learn to become a winning player is why I'm here.

Sadly I couldn't get staked right now , but I have just signed up at 888 via the promotions page and will use the sites resources to improve my game and hopefully start making some $$$

Good luck to everyone at the tables and feel free to add me on skype.

Rob.

My coach during a Skype chat suggested I join here.I can actually see he posted above already somewhere. He by the way nicked my idea of numbers as a screen-name :). Lets just clear that up :).So that's probably all there is to know about me.I live and breathe Poker, just want to learn and improve constantly.I obviously have coaching individually but apart from that,my circle of friends have no interest in Poker or just see it and treat it like roulette.I am part of Skype Groups to discuss hands/Poker in general and strategy on an evening.Hopefully I can become a familiar face around here and use all the site has to offer to take my game onwards and upwards.

Very best of luck and 888 is a great choice. Very soft games, good software and plenty of traffic.

Keep crushing!

Yo welcome!

So kind of @FourFiveFour to get you on here! Really appreciate that!

How did you get into mixed games? Was this when you was 16 or something you have developed into over the years? BTW we love MMA on here and make fight threads each week in our Lifestyle forum

Look forward to seeing you around!

Good luck

Thank you,
He mentioned it in a chat so I thought I'd check it out.He has just gone Skiing in Canada and is away for 3 weeks so advised everyone to join here, and a couple of other strategy sites.

No,it's something I just developed over the years,I think by mistake I must have sat down in a Horse tournament and got hooked.

Great I'll check those out, great sport.

Hello, I'm Alex from Brazil and I've known poker rules for 8 years but I've been more often playing for a 1,5 year. I want to break the micros at MTT on pokerstars. Unfortunately, I'm still facing difficulties on that unlike 888 or live games. I'm not satisfied with my game at all!
