Honestly it comes down to the reason why you are playing poker

- Do you want to win big?
- Do you want to grind out certain hourlys
- How much time do you have
- What gets you excited when playing poker
- Bankroll

etc etc.

Cash games are good as you can make consistent profits and you will improve as a player.

MTTs are good as you can win big and play against donks

do each for a month and see which one you like. Yes, there are different skill sets so you'll need to do a bit of extra work to prepare, but the midset for cash vs MTT is soooo much different. You will find out which one you are.

I think people are just trying to tell you the differences between them. If you ask 100 poker players which is better: Cash games or MTTs, you will get many different answers. Not to mention, other people cannot decide what is better for YOU. You have to decide that based on some of those questions that Jon asked you, what is going on in your life, what kind of person you are, etc.

If you ask me which is better, I would say cash games, but that is because I don't have huge 6-10 hour chunks of time all lumped together to do an MTT grind. In MTTs, depending on the structure, how many entrants, how deep you go, etc, you may be playing them for hours and and hours. Once you register and start playing you can't really say, "well, something else has come up that I need to go take care of" and just walk away from them. In cash games I can fire up 4-6 tables and start grinding. If something comes up I click sit out next big blind and walk away and go do it and come back later and continue my grind. So I can play sessions in smaller chunks of time, like 1-2 hours. I may still grind up to 6 hours in a day, but it is never all in one 6 hour chunk of time.

I have, however, just recently started playing some MTTs(freerolls) and they are quite fun and they can be very exciting, when you make the money and start getting super deep.

The thing is, there are tons of professionals pokers players who play MTTs and there are tons of professional poker players that play cash and some that play only Sit and Gos and then you will find some that mix it up. So really you can do anything you want to do it for a living as long as you learn how to play that variant and game and use proper bankroll management it really won't matter. So you need to pick the type of game and variant that seems the most exciting to you and fits your lifestyle.

You answered your own question

"the mtt i was play over 4 and half hours to win this is to long for make money by living from the poker"

If you cannot make a schedule where you will sit down and play 6-10 hours nonstop, you cannot play MTTs for a living. You should choose cash games.
