Comfortable Whilst Grinding?

Everyone has different chairs, desks, setups and life/exercise routines.

Was just sat in my chair thinking I don't feel comfortable and it suddenly dawned on me....have I ever felt truly comfortable whilst grinding?

So I thought a little experiment was necessary

Out of 10 how comfortable are you right now? (feel free to add a picture of yoursetup/chair in)

Honestly I find my desk at home super comfortable to sit at. It's in our front room so I tend to use it even if I'm not actually using my computer/desk. My chair reclines a little as I like to slouch. I've had a lot of back trouble over the years (said slouching and bad posture probably contributing to that) but my back never aches when I'm sat at my desk.

I'd probably give it an 8/10.

Recently I've found the back of my mouse hand going slightly numb. Anyone else get that?

Spending a lot of time behind the desk can contribute to tons of different nerve impingement etc. I have problems with the ulnar nerve for example, my fourth and pinky finger are numb constantly nowadays and you can't do much about it besides doing some hand mobility exercises and making sure your workplace ergonomics are on point. Make sure your elbow is elbow your wrist at all times, you're not compressing your forearm and wrist too much etc. Think about, changing the way you're using your mouse by incorporating more elbow into the movement and so on. Also, if this sensation won't go away consult a physician.

@MattVIP My elbow is usually either about level or just above my wrist, depending on if I'm sat back or sat up closer to my screen. If it gets worse I'll do as you suggested and see a consultant.

Never had a problem with my hand or arm just for me its generally back or neck but tbh its probs down to my weight more than anything. I find having one of those exercise balls help a ton just to roll on and stretch out a bit on a few times a day.

Foam rollers are also good. Can be torture to use but they make a big difference.
