frustrated!

well guys going to have a little moan Sad

I recently posted a thread asking if micro stakes were worth it?

I came back to the tables a day or two ago after 6 weeks of.. place my roll on betvictor, playing 4nl and 10nl.... already i wish i stayed away! Im playing tight aggressive ABC poker as you should at these stakes and let the players make the mistakes for you!

I have very good discipline and do not tilt, but im suffering bad beat after bad beat, Today i got aces v kings twice and lost both! i flopped the nuts straight twice and lost! also the bad players that are getting rewarded is really frustrating me! I am the first to admit when i play bad, i have a couple of hands here and there.

the micros are really really putting me of playing poker, i thought a break would be good but im back where i started!

any advice thanks jason Smile

You're looking at it the wrong way Wait . Be thankful that those bad beats and suck outs exist because those make you money. Poker isn't dead yet and yes the micros are worth it. If you got it in good, you can't really complain. You'll win over the long run. @Jon-PokerVIP said it best in a post a few weeks ago: play through it and make those downswings a small blip on the graph. I'm running really good right now myself at the micros, the last few sessions I'm up 8.5 BI's. I'm feeling really great and confident, but I know I'm going to have some reversals coming up. It's just part of the game. Keep working, push through and trust your game. YesPunch

It really depends on what you are looking for if the micros are worth it or not. If you are trying to make good money, I would say you can spend your time much better. If you enjoy playing those games and want to improve, then it is definetly worth it.

Post the hands where you lost with the flop nut straight. There are times when losses are avoidable.

Hey @jasestokes that is never fun to hear but let me tell you we have all been there. Someone asking if mid stakes is worth it could have loaded up some tables and had the very same experience: It has happened to me tons of times!

The main thing is really realizing if you are playing well enough or not. We can believe we are but can be miles behind the curve, making fundamental mistakes or just playing many spots incorrectly. Once we realize we are playing well then we just keep playing that way and let the money roll in.

Few suggestions

- Have your database analyzed for free by top pro W34z3l

- Have a Video Review made by myself.

- Post hands in our Line Check area for review.

- Take advantage of over 600 free videos and 500 free articles in our unique Poker School area.

My usual advice for people with these problems is to direct them towards The Mental Game of Poker Vol 1 and 2 by Jared Tendler. There's a ton of high quality advice for restructuring your psychological viewpoint of poker.
