Jon-PokerVIP: Have you ever received any media training?

I found page 2! haha!

I have recently yes. PokerStars gave a seminar to the Team Pro/Online attending the PCA. Really interesting to learn the ins and outs of communicating through the media. I didn't give it enough thought before but learned some things. Prior to that no.

Hey, Thanks for answers for my question. I have couple more.

1. Are you doing any Meditation or similar before you start session/day.
2. Are you watching any series in free time? Do you have any free time?
3. If answer for question 2 is: "Yes, I watch Game of thrones". Which House are you and what is you favourite character.

Smile

Thanks!!!

What is your dream tournament to win (either live or online)?

Hey Jaime, I recently stumbled across one of your twitch streams and thought it was fantastic. I have seen quite a few since, keep up the good work! 😃

I think a lot of the guys on this site (myself included) are predominantly cash players. What advice would you give to anyone considering making the switch to MTT's?

No problem Mattusko,

1. I am not no but have been procrastinating making meditation part of my life. I think it's a great Idea.
2. I do have some time because at some point your brain will turn to mush. I probably spend around 2 hours of my time a day doing just fun stuff. I watch a lot of Youtube videos and other streams. I also watch Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and House of Lies currently on TV.
3. Fav character and house is tough! I guess I am still Stark at heart (or whats left.) I hope Sansa does well but we will see.

I really have no clue! I don't play much with the guys that could be considered the very best. I have been told by some on the super high-roller circuit that Scott Siever is very very good .Maybe him? Fedor Holz has been making huge waves in the poker scene for the past couple years maybe he is the guy. I wish I could know Smile

A PokerStars SCOOP Title is the most important for me. So I guess the $1,000 Medium Main event. I love SCOOP so much it's always been the most important to me. Starting Sunday I will be playing and streaming 17 days straight during the series.

For Live tournaments it would still be the WSOP main event. EPT's one day could take that spot but the history of the WSOP Main is unbeatable.

Hey Keithyboy,

Thanks for checking out the stream man!

Cash to MTT transition is a difficult question because I never made that jump. That said I think the things that need to be worked on are: short stack play, stack size awareness, and ante play. Doing a lot of studying and understanding when to shove/call/reshove/call is where most of the edge comes in MTT's. This is where a lot of cash players are out of their element.

Likewise, it's not common to have a table with uniform chip stacks. Their is a ton of finesse that comes into a strategy when you have random stacks spread throughout. Lastly, Ante's allow the play to really ramp up in aggression. Playing more hands from every position and getting comfortable with that is an adjustment.

Hi jaime,

One more question but that's something about your playstyle. Not sure if you want to answer to this question

Sometimes on twitch I see you doing this; OOP on the flop checkraise with semibluf or air. If called, aren't you then supposed to bet on the turn to end the hand? to fold better hand?

I know that any better hand will call, its probably depends on the situation and type of player ?

Need to say this, and I think offtopic; I hate Caio Pessagno, I 3bet to him with K K, he had me covered and 4bet shove all his chips with J J, called and rivered (river came J )(we were almost in the money, and I could running deep Angry )

It depends on a bunch of factors. We should definitely be continuing lots but we should also be giving up sometimes as well. It depends on the turn card, the board texture, stack depth, our opponent type, etc. It's tough without a specific example to get across how I think about it. 'Usually' is the best I got for you Smile

I think it feels like what a startup would feel like. We are all working towards a common goal and have the ability to think of new Ideas and implement them very quickly. It's a ton of fun to be able to talk poker and then also talk stream with two of the select few out there that really get the space. I think we are all having a blast.
