Which site do you put in your most volume and why?

Posted 8 years ago

The reason I am asking this question is because I have tried alot of sites and Unibet has been my home for a while but I missing being able to look at my hands in detail after the session and track myself.

Microgaming is good but but im not a fan of the software (I think I mite have to suck it up and play here)
Stars - I feel I am the fish at the tables their
Ipoker - just buggy software after the update and cant game select

Most of my volume prior to now was on Stars. I get what you are saying about feeling like the fish sometimes. I think the player pool there, even at lower stakes tends to be much better. This can be a double edged sword. It does force you to learn and get better and really work to understand the game, however, in the short term it can certainly make it a lot more difficult to make money, which is usually why we are playing Smile The software and what you can do at Stars is second to none though and I think a big reason that more people don't leave.

I currently do most of my volume on Betvictor and that is because it is the chosen sit of the PokerVIP staking team. The player pool is definitely much softer. I play at 10NL and the majority of the players are pretty bad, even the "regs." I am currently winning at about 8bb/100, so not totally crushing it, but doing pretty well and only my second month there. I am not even that good yet either, I still have so much to learn. It is part of Microgaming and I would agree the software has a lot left to be desired. Pretty limited in what you can do, for example with bet sizings. I find the table sizes and dimensions for the normal tables to not be the good for my monitor either, so I have to use the fun tables which are really kind of annoying with all the avatars etc. . I prefer a clean basic look.

I have played on Full Tilt, 888, and America's card room as well. Full Tilt is not really worth looking at. Even though the player pool is much softer, they will be completely merged or "consumed" by Pokerstars within the next couple months from what I have read. I didn't have a ton of experience on 888, but you might want to have a look there. They are doing a ton of advertising to attract players and try and compete with Stars. I think they have pretty good first timer bonuses and the player pool is pretty soft from what I recollect and have heard elsewhere. Not sure what stakes you play but I know at 2NL they only allow 50bb max buy ins, so if you want to start there it is kind of annoying cuz you are playing mid stack poker from the first buy in, and have tons of other short stackers with like 5 and 10bb. Open shoving and flop shoving become pretty common. You can still make good money playing it if you know how to play that type of poker. All the stakes above 2NL have 100bb buy ins, so its not really an issue.

After watching Jon's Tonybet video I am going to be looking at them for sure. I have no clue if HUDs and tracking are allowed there but the player pool looked great.

Right now for me it is all about TonyBet!!! Played anywhere from the micros (making videos for PokerVIP) all the way up to 5/10 both NLHE and PLO. (cool videos coming soon).

Love the software so much, full of fish and yeh just printing money everyday. Couldn't be any happier!

Withdraws also only take like 2-3 days to Visa which is sweet....latest withdraw brag:

I currently play both on full tilt and stars.
I've played on stars for years and find that when you get to 25nl, the games are a lot harder. You cannot deny though the player pool/software cannot and will probably never be matched so it's hard to leave stars if you e played on it for years.
I've done a fair chunk of volume on full tilt and find the software fine, the traffic is quite low but you can only play a maximum of 6 tables and random seating makes it harder for regs to him hunt (which I'm not ashamed to say I've done for years on stars - it's part of the game!).
The games are quite soft on full tilt and the 1st deposit bonus is good, in fact I'm currently taking my 5 buy in shot at 25nl so winning is achievable👍🏻
I am definitely tempted to move to other sites such as tony bet etc but the lack of HUD/tracking puts me off as I like to review my play and keep track of win/losses in more detail as I've got so much to learn - but if tonybet etc are that easy we'd be fools not to play on there!
On stars I've had a little side project with my brother who lives in Australia (he has a limited bankroll hence the 2nl stakes start) of playing 2nl and playing through the stakes when I get 50 buy ins for the next level - which I'm nearly at for shots at 5nl. I think when I get to taking 5nl shots I might withdraw and have a go at tonybet and circulate the other sites such as unibet etc.👍🏻

Right now, Party Poker. I have to keep my Unibet account inactive to get the deal there, so I have to play somewhere else for now. Party Poker is not bad either. Traffic is good, and the games are okay, not as good as in Unibet but still okay.

Jon: I love it. I have never been a big fan of HUDs so for me it is only a good thing.
