Does anyone else hold any Crypto currency, I currently have some Ethereum which is the 2nd biggest one after Bitcoin and has been on a little bit of a heater lately:

My plan is to hold onto ETH for the long-term as it has lots of potential, I'll buy more when there is less uncertainty in the market as too many things are happening to really give a good idea on where each coin is going next.

Anyone else hold one or both?

It's actually kinda funny how everytime people think that the cryptocurrency ship has sailed the market proves them wrong. I don't own neither bitcoin nor etherium but I briefly thought about mining litecoin in the past (which proved to be inefficient at the time). That being said I'm super interested how the cryptocurrency will evolve over time. Do you think there's any chance they will become as wildly used as dollar or euro over the next few years/decades?

Nobody really knows what will happen, but I think they will be here to stay, the demand is too big for them. It's not mainstream enough yet and the biggest market so far is China.

I am just buying because I think in 10-20 years they may be worth 100x their value now which is not out of this world, esp if there is another banking crash.

Unlike normal shares and funds that maybe change 1-2% per day (if that) these coins can go up or down as much as 10-30% in a single day, so they are not that good for people who tilt.

I'm just luckily enough to have some cash on the side and invest in both every month or so. ETH just hit a new record high of $53 today which is nice.

ETH has doubled in the past month with BTC seeing a 60% increase, hope others got in on the action.

bought 3.5 ETH yesterday. now hold tight until christmas. and then lets see what happens. So fucking shame i didn't notice this thread month ago.

EDIT: bought for 166$ per coin

Anyway, I am planning to buy Ripper for long term to hit bingo in 5+ years if i am lucky enough

$166 seems like a solid buy! Saw it hit $200 today....Seems legit that it will be worth chunks more by Christmas!

ETH is down for a while and locked nice part of my crypto BR (lesson learnt). the rest is up and down as I still do mistakes. Anyway. I will have Lambo soon

Can someone give me the rundown, or point me to one, of what all this crypto currency stuff is? I have no idea but hear it mentioned all the time.

I don't have much of a clue about any of this but there's an article on PokerTube HERE about poker players making millions from crypto-currency so is worth a read!

If you own these 4 coins, you can forget about it, come back in 5 years and book HUGE profits.

BitCoin has went mental the past few months! Looks like Harvey got in at a great price as its trading at $4,350 for 1 BitCoin. I hope you held onto it

@Harvie . I remember you mentioning it a few times but I read how volatile it was so stayed clear. I don't even think its too late to buy now as only 25 new BitCoin are made every day (roughly). I would think the demand is quite high.

Yeh some crazy swings for sure! I just wonder how it all ends or where it all goes from here?
