I'm going to let someone else answer this one since while I know the movie (Jake Gyllenhaal is my favorite actor and I try to catch everything he's in + Michael Shannon is probably the most underrated actor that's currently working in the industry and I enjoy his performances a lot too) I messed up and missed it in my cinema (it had a very short run for some reason). Can't wait for the DVD to drop!

I really consider myself quite a movie watcher as well so this tilts me even harder. Wonder if i can just delete this thread and forget it ever happened?!?!

I knew I should've pulled the trigger on Nocturnal Animals. Now we're all going to suffer a barrage of Czech/Norwegian indie movies... Pretty sure we're going to need another clue here

@MattVIP Yeah, I was very skeptical about these Spanish movies at first, but they are truly brilliant! I take them over Hollywood.

Oh, I'm not bashing the foreign cinema. I understand the fact that the necessity of commercial success can be detrimental to the art and that's why Hollywood is churning so many bad films that feel like there were designed by committee. I just doubt that this hint will help given that people had so much trouble with guessing a new, relevant Hollywood movie like Nocturnal Animals.

Well, when I google 'Spanish horror' I get tons of results but from the ones I saw it looks like "La isla mínima" or "Marshland".
