I've only read a few pages of this but I seem to have gathered enough info to seem you're in a cycle of on off dieting( excercising ) to binging again?Going to have my opinion here.Nutritional/science around weight loss is so difficult to decipher mainly because there's so many factors at play.Factors such as stress levels(cortisol),sleep patterns, amount of sunlight you see have such a huge impact on your diet choices, amount you eat, metabolism that every bit of advice almost seems conflicting. So you've heard the old advice that knowledge is power, yeah?Well knowledge is power when directed in the right way.Spend a week researching the following topics insulin resistance, dopamine and food/drink,movementVersusSitting,cortisol/stress,sleep,heat/cold showers, ketosis, causes of inflammation in the body, inflammatory diets(foods),energy pathways, primal living, paleo diets, causes of food cravings. If you read up on all these things with respect to metabolism, food choices, amount you eat and fat loss and go from there. You'll see that there are so many ways in which modern lifestyle has ruined us.It's such a horrible ducking (intentional use of the word) buzz word but natural really is best.Natural movement patterns, sleep cycles, food choices(quality).PS the Primal Blueprint is a great opening read to bring all these things together. Have to give you credit for that, if it were me I would go for the easy option, but that is only because my friend had a gastric band fitted around 8 months ago, and my god, she looks like a different person! The rate at which the weight fell off was unreal and it was so easy for her.

Totally understand you wanting to do the natural route though. Its always going to be better for you and you know you can, you were well on the way before, good luck!

I think you're strong enough to cut the booze altogether, it really isn't that hard to do for you with your attitude. Just a thought.

You would think so but sadly not. I do keep thinking how the F am i so weak when it comes to food and drink but yet so strong and stubborn when it comes to everything else. I do feel very beaten by it and cannot understand why!?!!?

Was basically at a funeral so seeing all my friends and just well thinking so much about death and stuff it got me back in the mindset of FFS sort your life out you twat. If i didn't quit I'd probs look and be the size i planned to by now or not far off it.

I can't quit this time and appreciate any help.

BTW if you see a lot of fruit and light meals today and tomorrow I am not starving myself or planning for this to be my daily diet BUT i basically am craving it after a couple days away eating so much heavy food.

Love to see this thread bumped Smile

I think this time round you should just do what feels right for you. I know people like to give advice on the best ways etc, but really you should just do whatever feels comfortable, even if that is the odd slip up here and there, who cares, you know what you want and whats best, just enjoy feeling good and be happy! I'm so glad you're back! I'm still going strong with my journey and since that's very relevant to what you're going through I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. I'd also like to offer a piece of advice. Don't get caught up in grand narratives. What I mean by that is don't think that one pizza or one night of drinking equals automatic failure. I'm not sure what's your goal, but getting to a healthy weight will take you at least a couple of months if not a year (or more) and small missteps will happen. It's important not to give them power to derail your entire journey. Good luck sir!

Thanks! Yeh for the next couple of days I am just eating what I want which is not kebabs or curries but just a ton of fruit. I am not doing this for diet reasons as such just I am basically craving it so much atm.

Yeh love it mate! Reading into dairy I just want to stay as far away from it as possible really. I am not going vegan or anything and I am sure I will have dairy in certain forms but milk is a no go for me now.

Also this just tastes fantastic!

Yo yep always following that! Everyone does things differently and their own way so I just take in as much info as possible and try new things and see what sticks! TBH last time I was losing weight and feeling good so for me it is just about not quitting again once i get started. As long as I am exercising and eating well the majority of the time whilst not taking long weeks off it then I should be fine.
