What do you eat for breakfast?

Posted 7 years agoEdited 7 years ago

Quite a simple one, wondering what everyone eats for breakfast each morning, I need a shuffle up.

Currently I eat fruit muesli with a big spon of Farmers' Union Greek Yogurt:

Along with butter coffee (coffee, butter and coconut oil):

This keeps me good for about 3-4 hours.

Bad one for me as stayed at my cousins last night. Greggs bacon and sausage sandwich and a steak bake!

I'm doing intermittent fasting so for breakfast I usually eat dinner if that makes any sense. However, I do eat 'breakfast food' later in the day and it's usually something super simple like oatmeal with peanut butter.

Don't usually eat until about midday/lunch but if I do it will be cereal (probably wheatabix) or toast (Ham and mayo) < everyone thinks I'm weird for having ham/Mayo on toast but my god I love it! Laugh

Thoughts on protein shakes for breakfast?

One of the best options imho. Protein shakes are usually very easy on the stomach so you decrease the chance of screwing up your day with a bad first meal (depending on the protein brand and the recipe in general of course).

They are perfect if you want to feel hungry all morning.

Also, every breakfast listed has to be the worst ever, does anyone here even breakfast properly? Laugh

Breakfast in 2016 lol. But to be completely serious and honest I'm usually never hungry in the morning so a bottle of water or a cup of coffee are perfect breakfast options for me. Besides, if I start eating around 12:00-14:00 it's very hard to overeat which aligns perfectly with my current goals.

@Harvie Your breakfast looks/sounds nice but that coffee?? Is it healthy and does it taste nice? Sounds awful TBH.

I usually have a fry up at work as its all made for me, but at home I'll just have toast as I'm not a morning person! I'd like to try that bowl of Musli and fruit harvie posted.

[@BarraBod coffee is meant to have a few cognitive health effects, ideal for grinding and long work days. Not good if you don't exercise because the coffee has about 500cals per cup, taste 100% better than normal coffee.

PS: don't talk about fry ups without posting a pic!

I don't think bulletproof coffee is anything special on its own (unless you're in ketosis) but many people forget about including fats in their diet so putting them in your coffee seems like a solid choice.

LOL - it is pretty much pointless. Takes longer to cook an egg and just yeh quite pointless.

Generally don't wake up before mid-day but breakfast of choice is of course Coco Pops Smile

Uncooked dry porridge oats, dried mixed fruit (currants/sultanas/raisins), sliced banana, kiwi fruit sometimes and chopped apple; honey over it all and skimmed milk poured over it.
That's about as healthy as it gets in our house.

That Rollie thingy looks a bit naff to me, does it even switch itself off if you forget about it? Oh and he says he can make an egg, I for one would like to see that on tv! Mmmm...
