I could end up buying a lot of t-shirts!

haha I think those T-shirts will be better quality. The one I sent will probably shirk in the first wash...hopefully not tho because I bought a few!!

If you ever do a twitch stream, you need to wear one B)

Every stream a different flash/flash gordon t-shirt.

Week 2.

Got my target hands in. Decided to try out regular speed tables having struggled with 5NL speed for some time. The vertical red line is where I switched, huge difference. Don't think I'll be going back to speed for a while!

Anyone else noticed a big difference between speed and reg tables at these limits?

Congrats, Flash!! Glad to read you tried regular tables, keep crushing!, I'm not going back either!

Yes on ipoker the speed tables are full of regs (mostly bc of the rakeback).
Just keep crushing those regular games Smile

Week 3. Not a good week for poker, gym or diet. But, picked up my new bike, got two new kittens, joined a new gym, and stocked up on protein and BCAAs. Gonna make this a good week...

Find this is a common trend with a lot of players who change from speed to regular. Not really sure why it is as it is the same game however on iPoker i have noticed regular games have much more recreational players than Speed does.

I was shocked at the difference. Although it's not like I've done great since that session. And midweek there's not much of a difference. I'll stick to reg tables for now though as I'm definitely having more success. Plus I do find I pay more attention, watching the play instead of just folding through hands til I get one I can play.

How we doing @jongordon84 ???

Jon-PokerVIP: How we doing @jongordon84 ???
Not played so much last couple of weeks but I've been doing a fair bit off table. I'd like to get a review done soon. I've realised I'm not actually putting villains on a range post flop, rather just playing the board texture. Which means I'm getting owned by regs, losing value etc.

Sure man send a video over for review. I am recording 1 review video per day atm so it is a good time to do it!

How I feel after every session at the moment!

Jon-PokerVIP: Ah man what's happened?

I just wrote a long response then realised I was whining like a b*tch. I'm losing, plain and simple. For the most part I know why, so there's no reason I shouldn't be able to turn it around. Time to stop complaining and get on with it.

I'm enjoying the bike, think it will be a while before I go for the full licence.

I'm sticking to reg tables for now, despite little action midweek, I think I concentrate more and get a better feel for the table dynamic.

I watch Jon's videos as often as I can, but I've realised I'm probably not getting the most out of them, just passively watching and not taking it in or going back over various spots to actually learn.

After watching the PokerSnowie video I've downloaded a month free trial so will see if that helps.

I'm not giving up. I love this game. I love playing, watching, learning, all of it. So I can't tolerate not being good at it. I won't stop til I'm crushing or lose my love of the game.

Thanks Smile

May I humbly suggest you open notepad or something similar when watching vids? Otherwise - and I've done this many times - it's more like watching a movie.
Learning to learn effectively is one of the main barriers to success in this game in my opinion, people just don't know how to do that and it isn't as straightforward as one might assume because we are individuals.

Nice bike you have there by the way, I had one or two in y time but never got round to passing my test fully.

And yes, tables do tend to get a bit 'reggish' by midweek so the action does die down a little. Just need to table select is all. If I can't find good games I don't play, I go study and post hands instead. It's not bumhunting, it's common sense. Why sit on Jon's right when you can sit on my left? Cash

Keep learning and keep having fun Smile

I've started paying a lot more attention, pausing the video to check my own hand history for similar spots, putting hands into pokersnowie to compare lines etc. Makes a big difference to how much I feel I'm learning from the videos. Spotting leaks and getting them plugged!

Last nights session started bad, certainly some bad play in there but also QQs and KKs vs AAs. I didn't tilt though and was feeling good so part way through I decided to go up to 8 tables for the first time. It was a good winning session from there. 8 tables felt pretty fast paced, I won't be doing it too often just yet, don't know how people manage double that!!
