bearwithoutsuit: How did the weekend lockdown run out? Did all the staked players pile in the hands? I had a disappointing end to the month, I only manged 25k hands starting on the 15th as work sent me to Saudi. Ramadan in a country where gambling is illegal never the best place to grind away.

Only 1 of our players hit over the 10k mark. Most hit around the 5-6k point. Hopefully this month we can push it a bit harder!

June Staking Report:

Graph:

Attached Image

So not the month i was hoping for and of course this is disappointing to me. One reason why this is disappointing is because it doesn't showcase our good players who are winning or on their way to doing so. You just see a one way graph which shows losses. The money atm is kinda irrelevant, this is a long term project and it's all about finding a great base team of players to help improve and turn into solid winners....then we gamble here and there by adding new players into the team. So yes not the result i was wanting but weirdly it isn't hurting me as much as it did last month and i will explain why a bit more below. .

Lows:

Sadly on 4 occasions players went over their stop loss, some settled this up with us but some did the runner or promised to send the money but haven't. This of course will add to our losses and well leave a bit of a sour taste in our mouths.

Good player gone bad: We had a really good player with us who was literally tearing through 10nl and was getting moved up to 20nl the following day (he did not know this). I woke up and he had lost twice his bankroll, raged hard on the group chat and left me some tilting messages. Sadly due to his immaturity and the fact he is so hard to work with i had to let him go......i really think if he didn't make that mistake he would be grinding 50nl right now for us.......since i released him he proved to me once again what a child he was by leaving me a message which was lets say something a 7 year old would write if you stole their lolly.

Disheartened player: Once a player has played for a month or 2 and is in makeup i can understand how stressed they may become from this and how easy it is for them to lose heart. There were 3 players who i really love working with who i gave the choice to walk away and not owe us anything or to get their heads down, work hard and grind out of it. 1 instantly left which hurt me if i am honest.....feel i did my share and just wanted a sick final push this month to get out of it.....but sadly that wont happen. Luckily the other 2 are super motivated and i know they will kill it this month!

Highs:

More teamwork: It seems the group are a lot more interactive with one another now and have been discussing hands, sweats and just general motivation for one another. This really is a huge perk of having a group of players.....you all help each other become better.

Twitch: A couple of the lads without even being asked have just jumped on Twitch and put in some solid grinds on there. This to me shows they want to do more, enjoy being part of the team and love the VIP site. I obviously don't expect all players to do this...if any as well its not easy to do and not for everyone but it was great to see!

Moving players up: So one of the players came to me and said "i want some targets for 20nl".......i gave him them and a week later he nudge me and said " i have hit the targets". So now he is crushing the 20nl games and i am waiting for the next knock on my door for some 50nl targets lol. Also another player who struggled for a while got on a solid heater and has been moved up for a shot. I genuinely want players to play as high as poss and well we are up for the gamble!

The team: Love the team we have right now. What a set of lads! Literally no idiots in there and i think we will smash this month.

WOW, it must be a rollercoaster of emotions with a fair bit of stress thrown in for you. I am truly impressed by the effort you are putting into the staking thing. I am sure it will come good this month! Good to see you ended the month with a little swing in the right direction. Small sample but I hope its a taste of things to come! Go team! Would you mind posting the current screenames for the team so we can jump on the rail. Nice to see them posting an twitching, its always nice to be able to watch their progress up the states and try motivate me to do the same.

Name and shame! that should stop people from doing it in the future.

I have faith in the team, once you weedle out the unmotivated and the players just chancing their luck with someone else's money, i think that graph will be the opposite.

Haha yes it can be a bit of a rollercoaster but we just need to stick it out and make sure going forward we do everything to the best of our abilities.

As for the names i will do a hand report so you will see them in there pretty soon!

Yeh from now on i will be naming and shaming. TBH i really don't want to do it but if it will deter others from repeating it then i guess it is a good thing overall.

Profit/Loss

So i have made the decision to put the info back out there daily. We are all a team and here to help and will the players on so lets do this!

July 1st: +€52

July 2nd: -€132.92

July 3rd: +€14.93

July 4th: N/A (sweeping was not done this day due to technical faults)

July 5th: -€18.27

July 6th: -€64.36

So you can see we are off to a losing start of like €150 which isn't bad but of course is not what we are after. Lads seem to be loving the game tho and we have some new blood joining this month.

Managed to get some videos in for reviews and it seemed like we had some common problems such as

- No 3bet bluffing.
- Playing like a robot.
- No creativeness.
- Lack of concentration.
- Playing strong hands super strong and scaring off opponents.

& so on. Obviously there were tons of positives but these raised some concern. I have stressed that we need to maybe make the game more fun by taking different lines and exploiting players. I think going forward not only will they enjoy the game more but they will show a serious rise in profits.

Lets go!

Profit/Loss

July 7th: -€15.17

Super small loss but we need to turn these into super small wins. It makes such a huge difference across an entire month. What was nice to see was 100% of our players hit the tables yesterday.

Good to see all the guys making a good effort. Hopefully you guys will be constantly crushing soon.

Yep had no hand reports yet but i think we will be on track for a big volume month and also a profitable one.

I was thinking about this, and would there be any benefit of the guys grinding away at their current stake for a month or so to get bit of a bank roll for the group going before moving up. Might give you more chance to pick up weaknesses in their games before pushing up. I have certainly found that at lower stakes you can get away with certain systemic errors in your game that are punishe logarithmically as you move up the stakes. I think I would have benefited from ironing out errors in my game before moving up only to have those errors displayed at a significantly higher cost.

We just do it on a player to player basis and move the player up as soon as we think they can beat the higher level. Then we work closely with them to get them settled, adjust and crush that stake.

We have enough of a bankroll in there as a whole to take shots and we are deffs ready to gamble sometimes if a player is somewhat on the fence.

Essentially we never want to hold a player back so it doesn't matter if the team as a whole is down it just comes down to them.

Its good to see it is on a player by player basis. It certainly sounds like the this iteration of the group seems better suited to the plan. If they are only making small losses I can imagine it won't be long before the group as whole is making loads. I would be interested to see what the comparative win rates between players would be, are some absolutely crushing and others suffering - or everyone around the same breakeven point.

Many players update Journey blogs in which you can keep track of how their results are looking, I personally don't but I have no issue sharing how I'm getting along at any point if people are interested.

Thanks for the response Hitchhiking I am always interested to hear how its going. I secretly would love to be amongst you staked guys on the team. So I have to live vicariously through you. What stakes are you playing and how has your experience of the staking in general been?
