guess I just had the sickest upswing session in my carreer lol Can't remember when was the last time I was up 7 Stacks in 1k hands. poker is so easy when you flop the nuts EVERY. SINGLE. TIME really couldn't do much, mostly it was like I open BTN with pair, villain 3b from blind, I call, flop set, call Flop, call Turn, call or jam River, wait a few hands, do the same again and again haha

things aren't going my way that much atm. I swing like 5 stacks each session, but more up than down. I guess most of it due to me being not concentrated and focussed enough. In the past I made the experience, that his is happening when I play too much. Too many tables, long sessions and too much volume in general. Will take 2 or 3 days off and then return relaxed and focussed. Going to spend tomorrow night at my friends house in another city anyways, there is a nice Saint Paddys Day Party in an old fashioned traditional Irish Pub. We don't have those here a lot, most of them are operated by Germans, and they suck

Well, unfortunately it didn't come to our party. My friend struggled with some back pain the last couple weeks, so yesterday afternoon doctors decided to put him into CAT scan and they found something on his sacrum that looks like a tumor on the first sight :'( Needless to say that our party mood just vanished in a second. I don't believe in allah, god or jahwe, or whatever you may call it... but last night was the first time for almost 15 years, that I went to a church, lit up a candle and spent some time praying. They have to make few more medical exams and a tissue sample, to be able to make a clear diagnosis now and I really dunno what to do when the outcome is cancer. I already lost my mother, my grandparents and almost my sister to that fucking shit... So yeah, there is pretty much nothing we can do at the moment, except hoping that it is just a cyst or anything other harmless. He is just 26 yo and earned his bachelor degree, now doing his master degree in renewable energies. Very smart guy, with an extremley healthy lifestyle, always being aware of what he eats and sepnding like 5 times the week doing exercise and some ball sports... So basically you can say, he would be looking into a great future, unimaginable that it is the possibility, he just received his doom.

I would suggest he reads, preferably imo, listens to the "power of now". I am also not a believer in God but the spiritual teachings in this book have massively opened my mind and it will help him hugely in this time I believe. There are frequent references to what go do when you have a terminal illness and even (not to get any hopes up whatsoever) testimony to recoveries from such terminal illness through being "present" and "mindful".

That straight up sucks. Or I suppose hopefully it doesn't suck at all and actually there is nothing major wrong and he just gets an incredible gift of perspective on what is important in his life.

I'm going to pray its just that. I'm an atheist, but I'm not too proud to pray. If there is someone listening, then great. If not, then all I've done is spent a few moments considering someone else, life and what matters and what can be more valuable than that.

Thank you guys so much! At the moment he is in hospital and is feeling good, no aches and pains. In the course of next week, they are going to extract the tissue sample. Until then we can just pray. We are looking forward that it is something harmless.

Don't call it a comeback!

But first things first: I have to apologize for my calm and "all - of - a - sudden - disappearance", without saying a word. I am really sorry for that!

What happened: As it takes me longer to study as it should, I am no longer qualified for that "state aid" kind of thing, called "BaföG" here in Germany. Therefore, I was forced to cash out my roll. From there on, I ended up deposting 100 bucks and grinding it up to ~1k several times at 5 and 10nl. What a grind... After 3 or 4 times doing that, I got very exhausted and completely sick of poker. I even deinstalled all clients and software for the first time in my life, threw the forums and pokersites out of my chrome favorites and decided that I am done with this poker thing for good.

I then got myself a little part-time job at a local grocery job, where the salaries where terrible, the co-workers some uneducated pricks and the boss just a huge asshole. I was able to take that for 2 months, and then just quit.

Then I sold some stuff I had at home, but never used. Like PS3, some jewelery and stuff. I lived like a bummer, and without some good friends, who helped me out financially, I guess I would be homeless now -.-

Anyways, I decided that this is not the way I would continue with life and stuff, and brainstormed a few days how things should go on.
At the moment, I am looking for a new job, there are quite some, that sound interesting. One is kind of a delivery driver for school kids meals. Another one is at UPS as a packer. Both are pretty good paid (at least more than minimum wage) so I am going to send them my application the next couple days. I am sick of making debts, sick of begging for money. It just feels so fkng wrong :-/

Poker: Three weeks ago, I re-installed all the poker stuff, looked into the forums for the first time in months and thought about giving it one more shot. At least some buttonclicking when it is home time. But how to get a roll again? I was so poor, I couldn't even afford to deposit like 50 bucks or so. So I thought about staking. But who stakes a guy with debts and no money? I mean, I would describe myself as the most trustworthy guy on earth. Never, and I mean NEVER did I scam someone, nor do I plan to do so. When I had debts in my past, paying those back was number one priority. I just hate this feeling, that there is something very important, that is not done yet. Especially when it is about money. I had a staking online once, around 2012 or so, where I just couldn't play my A-game, knowing that I am playing with some other guys money. It just felt wrong when I lost a bit... So I expected that there are not many people out there, panting for someone like me they can stake. And I can completely understand that. I went deep into my mind, if I should even consider looking for staking. Finally, I decided to do so, and started asking around. Surprisingly, there were quite a lot guys, that were interested. I was so happy that people still believe in the good in man. First I wanted to go with prostaker, but then things didn't go as planned.
A good poker friend of mine, who used to play 25 and 50nl with me back in 2013, and who still hangs out in our "poker friends" skype group (lately there isn't much poker related stuff going on, as a few guys quit) now lives in Scotland for two years already and makes a living from poker (he crushes 400 and 600, took his first 1k shot this month). He is part of a coaching stable as well, just google internet300 poker stable and you will know Maybe you heard of that Internet guy already, I dunno Anyways, he called me and asked if it is true, that me is looking for staking and so. We had a little chat going, and then decided that he will stake me AND give me coaching for profits. I couldn't believe it. Was like hitting the fkn jackpot We set up a contract and negotiated some rules. I can't go into detail about that, but it is kind of a fair deal for both parties. So from tomorrow on, I will grind my way back from 25nl on stars. He was very convinced by the hand histories I sent him, and said that it should be no big deal to move up in stakes quickly. He also said that I just shouldn't spend so much time thinking "But what if...". It is absolutely ok for him, when it takes me a bit longer getting in some volume or when I am going on a downswing, as it is just super normal in poker and that I just don't have to worry like "Omg, that is other peoples money :O". We already had some coaching sessions, where we edited my gameplan for preflop and postflop standard situations, and we are both looking forward confidently. So gl us!

Benedikt: As you can read in my last posts, my friend suffered from a tumor in his sacrum. Thank god/allah/jahwe that it was a benign one!!!! It is still some kind of tumor, that increases very quickly and can turn malicious at any time, but he received radiotherapy and went on rehab already, and as we know from the first followup examination, things are looking quite good, that everything will be alright sooner or later Benedikt lives like 100 km from my place, and I visit him all the time. He feels better and better, and day by day he makes his way back to a "normal" life. What a brave little soldier he is

Uh, there is something missing Post was even a bit longer haha But I guess I reached the maximum length. Ok, from what I can remember:

Lesson that I learned: Life is fucking short, and all of a sudden, you could be torn out from your everyday life. You shouldn't spend a single second, thinking about your past as well, it all happens right now and in the future, and you should try to accomplish your very best every single day and never give up.

First session with 1k hands and -70 bucks is in the books. Did run pretty bad, 35% cBet But lol samplesize. Either floped nothing, 2nd pair or a gutshot and was every hand 3 ways, or with fish or OOP... nothing I can do, one spot I am pretty sure I misplayed super hard, rest looks standard, but marked 31 hands where I was quite clueless. Will go over it tomorrow with my coach. Already told him that session went pretty bad, but he said I shouldn't worry, everything is fine as long as I didn't tilt, which is not the case.

Some random hands:

#1 Pretty standard jam against 50bb, but Villain has 1% resteal BBvsBTN over 3k hands Misplay of the day. Did open bigger as he is 38/2 so far.




#2 Villain opens 28% UTG with an 21% ft3b over 4.5k hands. Easy "re-iso" to have him HU with a hand that dominates his range pretty good. You could go one BB more, but guess it's fine anyways. Would make it bigger with nutted hands, as he is not adjusting. Get 2 cold calls and UTG folds SB is an aggro donk with 31/23 over 9k hands. Had quite some action with him on other tables. He tempts to bet waaaay too much against missed cB. Could bet Flop ofc, but they both have AQ/QTs/KQ/TT/44 in their range and there are quite some cards on the turn that make it difficult for us when the pot is big. Like Ax, Jx, Tx, 9x, 8x and so. Guess we do not have 3 streets 3way in Sandwich in a "3b" pot. So x/c should be better.




#3 I am not really sure here if we can call. Iso-raiser is unkown, so I went with the pool avg, that isolates like 28% or so. Against 4.5x OOP could be too bad to call with that hand OOP, but guess fish that is already in the pot and never folds there makes it an around even cold call. Whatever, Flop/Turn standard. River I dunno... As he is unknown I guess I should go with the pool tendencies and try to call GTO against the estimated range. But I have to admit that I am not sure how my range looks there on the river and how much the pools bluffs... We don't block any FDs but we do block QT... Maybe against his sizing it is ok just to call Ax+
