6 Months to Pro

Posted 7 years ago

Hello there.

Where most disappointing moment for a man, the moment when he failed to accept want to achieve something. I thought I had that feeling many times in my life. Later I realized that failure, in fact the first step to success.

I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.
Michael Jordan

I have failed many times, and I've decided it's the perfect time to accomplish something. I read the books I bought myself could affect me in the short term and taking notes. 2 months time I read books:

1 7 habits of highly effective people.
2. Think Grow Rich.
3. Poor dad rich dad.

The biggest thing I learned from this book, was that request and to imagine what is actually important. Then I read the biographies of important people here, and I found the same thing. If you want to achieve something, you have to imagine, and you have to believe.

You can not put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.
Michael Phelps

I got very radical decisions about my life. write them one by one, I do not want to prolong the issue. But the main headings:

1. Family: spend more time with them.
2. Poker: Profosyonel ideas and games. Be best cash game player in Turkey.
3. Love: When she need you, be there.
4. Money: Learn the stock market, save money.
5. Personal Care: Freeletic, quit smoke, sleep and eating healthy.
6. Business: develops itself in different business areas.

My purpose here is mainly poker, 6-month period, the mention of my life. The first goal is 6 months € 1,500 (without bonus and rakeback) win. For the moment I have 27 buy-safe NL20. I worked as a civil engineer, a minimum target in 5000 to play hands of poker a week.

Previously it opened two topics in this forum, and I failed. I'm sure I can accomplish this task together with your support this time.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. That surrender, even the smallest act of giving up, stays with me. So when I feel like quitting, I ask myself, which would I rather live with?

Hey Barkn,

How long have you been playing? Which site do you play on? What stake do you want to be playing to be a pro?
Posted 7 years ago
In Turkey i must play site which offer Ecopayz payments. I only have Microgaming network.
In Turkey i have 600€ montly income now. Because 1€=3,3tl.

So if i play NL100€ with good winrate 3bb/100 i can earn 600€ in 1 month without rakeback. With rakeback i can earn 1500€. Its really good numbers for second income.

So you are aiming to play 20k hands/month (same as me atm!)

I would say that you cannot look at it monthly if you play this volume. The varience will fuck you ver, it does everyone when they think like this.

One month you may win 30bi in 20k hands, another lose 10bi when you have played the same over those 20k hands.

Is €600/month a good income in Turkey? Are you able to save much on that or does it all go on bills?

Your journey looks similar to mine in terms of goals so will be great to achieve it together Smile

I know man . Some months i will be 0 some months it can be better. In Turkey we always think about motly thats why i write like that.

In Turkey lower wage is 400€. 600€ not good but not bad. I live with my family and , i only spent money for foods. In my town Antalya life like that :

300€ for rent good home.
30€ for internet.
30€ for electiric.
10€ for water.
15€ for telephone.

They are main bills. You can easly live with 1500€.

Hope we can support each other. Can you send me your journey link.

After Pokerstars and Neteller close to Turkey i fear to make Poker my main income. I can only play sites wich allows Ecopayz and open to Turkey. I can play poker full time maybe 4-5 year later. But ı must go to another country.

Sick thread and yeh sounds like if you can make even 750 a month extra from poker it will boost your earnings massively and give you a pretty sick life! Obviously 1500 is the dream so lets shoot for that!

Any graphs?

$0.10/$0.20 No Limit Holdem/6PLAYERS /Prima

After today session i find that hand. I think best play here bet turn. But why i played like that? Check turn fold river. Very bad play.

2 days ago I have surgery on my teeth. That's why I did not go to work for 2 days, and today I came to myself barely. I started the session at times had € 8 Rebuy tournament. I went with my score, and things went well. I strengthened my hands especially eliminated, maybe 100 € -200 € more could receive a reward.

No Limit Holdem Tournament/5PLAYERS /

My goal is playing 10 hour ( 5k hands) in a week.

So far, I played 2200 hands. I do not work weekends, and my fiance out of town. 2800 to complete the remaining hands, I intend to go on line.

Of course, everything is not going well. I could not do sports because of my teeth. I also do not consume more food than liquid food. Poker is really very difficult without sports. As soon as the sport of poker in the back I have to be more successful.

Can you give me advice about 3bet,4bet,5bet play in micros. Some text or video can be beautiful.

When I opened this post I had a safe € 500.
Things went incredibly well and did a degree in a tournament surprise. However, what is really interesting is the work took place today. I was grabbing my full 6-table session. 2 remained on the table I saw one bonus writing on the screen. 2 bonus had hit my desk and I had won a total of 818 € prize. Indeed, this post came to me auspicious. But my goal was to win external € 1,500 bonus. So this money will allow me to just go earlier than the upper limit. I reached my goal of 5,000 hands. We can have a long day ahead of me than playing poker.

WEEK 1 - SUMMARY

This week went amazing for me. BBJ coming from € 810, € 217 extra from the tournament. But most made me happy, change in my game.

Previously, I thought that I should change my game when I went to the upper limit. This week, as the goal for myself, I choose to keep my game hard. I realized that in fact where the players do not have much difference from the lower limit.

I've increased my URLs Squeeze. I especially loose and 4bet against lower players, it is very useful.

One of the features I need to develop, board when I could not catch, can turn my hand to bluff.

Bankroll Start : 560€
Current Bankroll : 1760€
Winning without bonus : 236€ (Cash) + 140€ (Tourney)

Hope everything goes like that.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum thread so apologies if this is off topic. I work for an online casino and we are looking into running a feature on the journey of new players, the ups and downs that type of thing. Do any of you have or know of any players who have there own personal websites where they write about this type of thing? Cheers

Hello , Hello

I have good news and bad news.

Lets start with good ones.

After i hit 1760€ Bankroll i said myself i will take 5 BI shot to NL50. It was the first time in my life i play NL50. It started good but than i hah 5BI down. But i did my work greatly and move down to NL20. I m feel very good about it beacuse its realy hard for me.

In general, in the short-term losses, I break my morale. But this time, I'm fine. I need to understand the long term. at least 100k for hand play that I judge myself.

Also Darius I noticed something on the chart as Journey's share. 13,000 and 23,000 Darius achieved almost breakeven. If faced with these people I saw myself as a role model, my encounter very normal.

Now i must continue to grind. I will do it.
