In the graph your EV line goes up in the end. So it was a good end.

Don't focus on the green line, as you can't control it.

Actually, don't focus on the winnings at all. If you value your success by money, the problem is that your success is not in your hands. You can't decide that today you are going to win. You can play perfect poker and still lose a lot of money.

If you teach yourself to value your success by the quality of your play, you are in a situation where you have 100% controll over your success. That change often improves you overall feelings about poker as it removes a lot of negative emotions.

@Kyyberi You are right. I Need to fix a mindset a bit with this. In PLO it is not same as in NLH.

also I identify some things i need to work on.

1. build better hud with more relevant stats (not big change just adjust it from nlh to plo)
2. Start working on pre-flop DOMINATION range
3. Reduce playing from OOP
4. Learn flop stack of percentage (already have a very nice table for it.)
5. Identify opponent and use correct strategy. (nit, loose passive, loose agresive) etc.
6. HU spots. board textures for c-beting and later dubble barreling
.
.
.

Not really in this particular order but lot of staff to work on. Looking forward to improve my game bcs I can already see lot of value in BV low stakes games.

Actually it is the same in NLHE. And in any form of poker. If you value your success with money, you don't have 100% control over your success.

You are right of course. What I meant is that in PLO it is "more important" than in other formats, maybe except hyper sngs, bcs swings are much more bigger and you can feel it much more.

But still, it is nice to see that you are making profit at the end of the month/week/day/session when you know you play good. (still not my case in PLO) Laugh

another weird day at poker tables. finished in slight profit, but not sure about game. 1K hands I can play very nice and another 1K I play like biggest fish. Need to work on this. Probably with some breaks after some amount or hours played.

How about forgetting money and focus only on the quality of your decisions? One way to teach yourself into this is to keep a session diary. Write down starting time, end time, length and the quality of our decisions. Scale of 1-5, 1-10, smileys, what ever works for you. And then all the things that you like from your thoughts, emotions, distractions etc. If villain sucked out with 1 out and you felt angry about it, write it down. If someone came in to your room and it distracted you, write it down.

As you can see, there is no space for profit/losses. Those are NOT put into this diary.

If you do this thing, you will soon notice that you start to focus more on your decisions. You want to make good decisions, hand by hand at a time. If you teach yourself to think this way, it will reduce the negative feelings from poker and emphasize on the positive ones.

Thanks @Kyyberi.

Just let my clarify, loosing money if I do good decisions doesn't affect me at all. I am not new to poker. I am quite confident that I can handle swings at plo10 very well. I don't play poker for living, its just a fun for me.

BUT

What makes me crazy is that I DONT KNOW if I do correct decisions. I am not able to find all the informations I would like to. Also I don't have time to spend 3h per day analysing my DB and do sessions reviews.

AND

Somehow I can not do same performance, same level, all time, this is another big thing i need to work. (it is not about the money, but about the decisions, i know they are bad.)

for example:

1. Is it good to 3bet and Cbet most of the flops against player who has 60%+ fold to C-bet in 3bet pots? (This is big for me atm)

2. Is it good to isolate limper(s), with better marginal hands (AQT* ss) etc when there is a big chance that blinds and then also limpers will call my raise anyway?
3. Is it good to raise fishy openers from blinds with better marginal hands when there is big chance that flop will be 3 way plus?
4. Is it good to 3bet weak offsuit Aces when flop is usually 3way plus anyway?
5. Should I call weak or semi weak KK**, QQ**, JJ** hands to 3bet?
6. Is it good to call KQT* ss, KJT*ss, hands from blinds when pot is going to be multyway?

7. How should I start learning, what videos to watch, who, where? Are 2-3 years old videos still actual for the game today?

And I have more questions almost after every session Laugh

Probably will mark more hands and will start posting to HJ forum. Maybe somebody will.

Lot of things to think. But I like the game and not going to give up anytime soon.

And work on mental game as well. OFC it is not ideal Smile

Thanks for all the help @Kyyberi, I dont want to sound rude, I really appreciate it.

I was checking how my sessions are going, and I observe one maybe very important thing. After ~1K hands my focus goes down and I fall into bed decision making mood.

From now on I will play ~1K hands session and take a break, don't need to be long, just 15-20 mins to clear my head and then start new session again. I will apply thin no matter if i am loosing or winning.

Hope it helps. Let you know, how this works for me soon.

oh, and my long term target of 1K winnings is not going well, but I just started with new game so its acceptable.

Didn't play poker yesterday. Instead of it we had competition match. (I am playing pool-billiard too). It was away game and we bring home big victory 5:1. I played 2 matches from total 6 and I won both of them.

I am doing very good lately. Won last 6 games, and what is even better I am capable of beating very strong opponents. Week ago I won in "14.1 Straight Pool" game agains best straight pool payer in our class 40:27 overall he is 8th in our class. And yesterday I beat 2nd best guy in overall results of our class in "9-ball" game 6:2. (whole pool room were watching us). This victory kicked me to 3rd place in rankings of our class with 80% success rate.

6 matches before end of the season, it is quiet sure we will make it to the play-offs and will fight for place in higher class.
