Jon-PokerVIP: You might have failed the challenge but it looks like your winning at life buddy. Loving the videos you are making. Why not snow boarding btw?

Thanks mate! I Do both, but last 3-4 years skiing only. My snowboarding set was quite old I had to decide what to buy next. And now I am skiing again. Again because, I was skier when I turned into snowboarding, back in 6th grade of elementary school Laugh

Jon-PokerVIP: Ed has put your name forward to be Aprils journey of the month and to be stuck at the top of the journey forum. Up for the challenge?

Thanks mate(s)!

This is not a 1st April fools joke as I thought after 1 time reading this. Well OK then. Of course I am IN for the challenge. You guys need to show how to crush and be Journey of the month at the same time. This was not working last two months, so now is my turn to try to break the "Journey of the moth" course.

Will post 1st proper update for this month after work and dinner!

Stay tuned.

Awesome wll you have officially been pinned to the top bro - NO PRESSURE.

In my mind and maybe due to lack of experience i see Skiing as like a chilled out just potter down the slopes where as snowboarding is a little bit more fast and fierce with people trying to go fast, do tricks and basically show off a little more. Any truth in that?

APRIL - Breaking the curse.

Lets skip the March recap and focus on more important things for now. The April, month of the fools (at least the weather in Slovakia is pretty crazy, snowing.) and the month when my "blog" has been picked up for Journey of the month. I'll try to post some poker or some non poker related stuff every day to deserve the reward at the end.

Last two or maybe more months there were a curse of running bad and now it is my turn to fight with it. With hope, with poker gods help and some serious heater I believe I can do this.

This month start pretty well for me. I didn't play a single hand yet, but Jon did awesome Leak Finder for me. Mattusko nl20e Leak Finder He looked into my game and found some spots where I can improve my game, with game my winrate, with winrate the BR. And what you can do with big BR? You can lose more at higher stakes or shot side event of WPT Amsterdam in May.

Tomorrow will be my first playing day. I will play 4 tables of nl20e, but before the session I will check some study materials about 3 bet bluffing and try to improve this part of my game. This is also a topic for 3rd part of my almost forgotten series.

Lets keep tracking some stats for the month. BR is important this month. I would like to pass the 1K mark and add 1-2 nl50 tables to my session before the end of the month.Because i will play only table most of the time, volume goal for this month is 15K hands.
BR: 800$
Hands: 0

Unfortunately I will miss the lockdown, so awesome promo, only for pokerVIPers even better. But we are expecting 2 friends from Slovakia, they come visit us to Amsterdam. So i'll spend most of the time with them instead of collecting rake hands. Maybe next time, But i'll post at least one picture here.

Lets see where April will take me. Next stop...

Nice April post buddy and all sounds good. Luckily for you the lockdown is now next weekend so you can get yourself ready for that. Do me a favor and help me hype the event up in the threads. We want it to be a good turnout and for everyone to enjoy it.

Looks like you have a really tough life there at work buddy! Beer, poker and PokerVIP. Although i guess its the same for me so CHEERS.

Played 1 session on Friday, I didn't play very well and lost 2BI. I tried to 3bet bluff more often during session and it was really nice to see that it works. I am not at my computer right now so can not update the numbers, but will do this latter today or tomorrow.

Luckily for me Lockdown was postponed one week and I can try to take it down. Will create a schedule with session and sleep and maybe for first the first time i can follow it as well.

Do you guys plan to attend and try to fight for the 2nd place? Do you have any ideas how many hours you want to play how many tables, limits? Maybe we can motivate each other to do better.

btw: how many tables is allowed to play at SJ poker at once? Is it unlimited?

You are taking a big game Mattusko, you really think you can top off first place? Would be a nice little boost to the BR aye?

I was thinking about doing it myself, I am sure I can rank the most hands if I really tried but I never play more than an hour or two. Stan James will just be full of PokerVIP regs during the weeknd haha.

I think the max is 4 tables on SJ I could be wrong. They do have Blaze though which will rank up the hands fast.

350e BR boost would be nice for sure. If I will go for it, my aim is the 1st place. But who knows what kind of sickos will try to win it or how many people will try to win it. Plus, there is always chance I give up after few hours Laugh

4 tables, this is 100% not actual information, I usually play 6 tables at SJ, and once i had 8 tables running. but i really dont know what is max..

There is a 0 trafic at blaze tables. only nl2 is running. But who knows maybe during the lockdown nl10 will run too..

I was thinking what "raked hands" means in this promo.

1. Does it count a hand where I am dealt in and I fold Preflop, but the action in table continue and rake is taken from the pot?

2. Does it count also hands where I fold from Blinds pre flop?

3. OR Only hands where I add money to pot and the rake is taken from the pot are valid?

My vpip will probably be higher than usual, but nothing extreme I guess. Smile

I guess raked hands is when you see flop, other then number of hands when you fold preflop
Posted 9 years ago
You must see the flop is a raked hand.
