Great post bro and your right about the complaining of EV it is never fun to hear. I used to tell people to STFU now i just ignore it as well it can be a lost cause with many players.

Your doing a great job and i couldn't be happier with this start. Looks like you just have this brand new attitude and approach to the game. Stay grounded, learn hard, work hard and win hard. 20nl is just around the corner.

My Good Run Continues

Absolutely smashed the tables last night for another 5bi. Got a decent amount of hands in too, about 2.5k and im on course to having a huge month. Not had a losing day yet.

I don't know whether the break from the game as done me good or I'm just on a heater, but i feel real good about the way I'm playing and there seems to be a lot more weak links on BetVictor than there used to be. Is that me improving? Or is that them just being fish? I have no idea, but hopefully my winning streak continues.

I just dont feel like im tilting anymore, which is a massive part to me keeping my cool and avoiding going into the red. I lose a hand and move on. Thats it, CANNOT let it affect your play or it will have a massive effect on the end of month results.

Also i had a change, trying out PT4. It seems to run so much smoother than HM2. Hopefully gona buy it at the end of the month. As of yet it seems to be so much easier to use to.

Heres my current graph:

And heres how my last five days look:

Back to work tonight however, feeling a lot better than i did over the last few days. Either had a sickness bug or food poisoning. Really hasnt been nice.

Lets all push on with the group now. Will try and update this journey every day now.

Cheers

I think it is a mix of the two. Your break has changed your out look, you have studied and your playing great but no matter how great you play 17bb may not be sustainable in the long run but that is fine as no one else is! I think it will level out slightly but still have you as a big winner. I am super happy with your new approach and of course the results. We need to time the 20nl shot as i dont want it to go bad and deflate you but i also want to get you up there to watch you smash it up!

Get better soon bro - man as you know i have been in the same boat but now i think of it i have crushed to. Maybe we have the super poker crushing bug and we should hold onto this feeling? lol

So scrim nominated you to be journey of the month so you have been stickied at the top. Smash the posts up, entertain us and i will ship you some merch!

Hey man, was on Scrim's stream earlier and he mentioned your blog, so I came to have a look. As you're a Derby fan, I hope that means we have a common love, Craig Bryson Heart
I'm a Kilmarnock fan so have been following your results for him. Would have liked to see you go up and get Bryso in the premiership! Was kind of gutted big Connor never worked out with you lot.

Anyway, seems you are killing pokerz at the minute, keep it up mate.

Didn't realise Scrim mentioned my blog. Massive thanks to him. Yeah its a shame Sammon didn't work out. Especially for how much we paid for him. Just wasn't for him. Also massive shame our season didn't work out. Pretty gutting to be in the top 6 all the way from September and drop out last minute, but thats football.

Hope you crush too man and thanks a bunch for following. Yes

Hit my bit of a downswing earlier today. I think i was definitely due one. I managed to climb back out of it though. Just had a few rough hands after being a couple of BI up.

Updating blog from work, so will be back on afterwards to try and make some monies to buy my new screen Smile Really enjoying my poker at the minute (online anyways - gona avoid live for a bit).

I think im gona have this, then i have the one im using now (17" horrible square thing), then it would be just perfect Muscle

What is the resolution of that monitor? this type of screen may not be optimal for multitabling.
My advice is to buy an 2K resolution screen like the Yamakasi Catleap(use google).
This is the one im currently using and 12 tables fit perfectly as u can see on this pic :

Hi mate. Just had a look at the product details and the resolution is 2560x1080.

I don't know much about screens, but according to another forum member, who mass tables, its perfect for poker.

But if you have anymore info that would be suitable, i'd love to hear it Smile

Thanks

hey man, your welcome! the type of screen im talkin about has a resolution of 2560x1440 so u have more room to work with = more tables Laugh

only downside is u cant buy them everywhere.
I imported mine through ebay and payed 200 Euros
But they can be found cheaper.

Just use google or ebay and fill in "2560x1440"
Its one of the best investments i ever made for poker haha

Oh yeah on my Myjourney page u will see how it looks =)

Either I Win or Learn, But I Never Lose

The predicted downswing came and boy it was a rough session. I didn't play particularly well either, but I don't think we can always play our A game, if we did, I'm sure we'd be always crushing the games. But I feel poker is a game that really tests natural human instincts and that's what makes poker so difficult to "master", you are always learning.

Yesterday I felt like I was going back to my previous self. Breaking my own rules after starting off with a bit of run bad and some coolers. Nobody can learn how to avoid losing big pots and nobody can learn to avoid variance, its about how you deal with it that makes you stand out from the rest and be better. The game is all about learning and that is what I am willing to do to reach my goals.

After taking a little break yesterday, I managed to recoup some losses.

Here is my current graph:

So Jon has predicted I will win 7BI this weekend. I hope he's right.

Please fire away with your own predictions for my weekend if you like. Laugh

No problem my man! The ultra wide screen monitors just look so good. Should be perfect for up to 10 tables tiled I believe.

How many buy ins you win at the weekend in the end?

So whats situation with the monitor?
Posted 8 years ago
Yo yo yo.

I believe I won one buy in at the weekend, however I won four buy ins yesterday which was a very good result. I feel I am actually crushing 10nl at the minute, upswing or not, its a nice feeling. Nice to see the team doing well also.

Yeah it's payday Friday and the plan is to see how much money I have. I will most likely be buying the monitor and can't wait for it to get up and running.

Unfortunately I cant post any updates to graphs or anything at the minute due to being at work, I will get that updated either tonight or tomorrow.

I've just had the most amazing Nandos. I've craved one for about a week now and I'm sat at work sweating my tits off! lol. Tend to have the double chicken breast fillet wrap extra hot with extra extra hot sauce dribbled all over my plate to dip it in. It was AWESOME!

Right back to work. Give all you guys a bit more of an update either later on this evening or tomorrow.

Cheeky looking nandos there bro!

Heard on the grapevine you finally spewed and bought the monitor?
Posted 8 years ago
Man I just can't come at Nando's. Maybe the Aussie outlets are different to you guys but it is so far over priced compared to other takeaways and yet you get far less for your money.

Been 2 or 3 times and refuse to go again.

That photo does look mouth watering though.

I dunno like a burger with 2 sides is a tenner or something.......isnt to crazy and here it isnt really a takeaway its a restaurant so poss thats the difference.

It all depends what you eat. I took a mate yesterday and it cos me £50 for the both of us however we did both get the boneless platter, a drink and a starter. That is expensive for a lunch but tbh i felt like it was worth it and have/would do it many more times.
