Hi guys, I'm going to start a thread now about my poker journey. I'm going to kick it off with my trip to Malta next week for the EPT Festival.

The first tournament I will be playing is on the 20th which is the PokerStars Cup Day 1B. Costing €330, I will hopefully take down the tournament for one of the best cashes of my poker career!

On the 21st I will be playing a €220 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo (This will be the same day as the PokerStars Cup Day 1C so I won’t be missing out on the PokerStars Cup Day 2.) This will be my second ever live PLO, the first being a 7 handed Sit & Go. I’ve played multiple online PLO tournaments and I love the game and have always done quite well!

My next tournament is on the 23rd which I will be playing the ‘Right to Play’ Charity event which is €150 with €50 unlimited re-buys up until the first break. This will be a fun but tough game, multiple professional poker players will be playing this tournament so it will be a great experience. I played this event in Dublin earlier this year and was seated next to Eugene Katchalov. Also Felipe Ramos was sat 2 to my left.

I will then go on to play the PokerStars Open Day 1A which is on the 27th. The cost for this tournament is €220. This will also be a good tournament and hopefully I will also take this one down as well as the PokerStars Cup!

The last tournament I will be playing is just a €120 NLHE Turbo which is on the very last day of the EPT festival. This tournament is just finish off the week before I fly back to sunny England!

However, I have been playing a few satellites on PokerStars to try and win a seat for the EPT Main Event. Unfortunately they didn’t go to well after massive hands happening!

First I was playing a €55 satellite into a €320 satellite. As you can see by the below image, we both flopped a set, yet he turned quads which gave me 5’s over Q’s. That was the end of that!

Next I played just a €10 Spin and Go to try and win a EPT package, I hit the A high flush and he hit a straight flush taking a massive percentage of my stack!

I also have just recently started my own blog which I will be hopefully uploading quite regularly, as of the moment I only have 2 posts. http://www.cgpoker.co.uk/ - Looks a bit newby my website but with time it will hopefully progress!

I will also be keeping everyone updated on PokerVIP also through this thread most days while I'm out there (hopefully every day.)

Arrived in Malta the early hours of this morning! Been to register for event number one!

Event doesn't start till 9:00 so time to go for a wander around and get some food then chill for a bit.

How did this blog stay quiet? Looks awesome and Malta is going to be huge by sounds of it!

What's it like out there?

Yeh it's going to be good, will try to get pictures with as many people as I can whilst I'm here.

It's not to bad so far, only been at the venue once so far but the city seems nice. Strange layout for a city though, roads are narrow as hell.

Just about to get a bite to eat then I'll be ready to play the Cup at later.

Signals not the best whilst over here, so will only be able to post when I get wifi mainly.

Entered Day 1B of the PokerStars Cup last night. It was a long grind, starting stack being 15,000. The first hour was extremely slow, went to to 10k chips. By the first break I managed to get it up to 80,000. Took a few gambles, called a few bluffs and it all ended up in my favour.

I then got moved table and everything went downhill. By the second break I took a massive hit and was left on 40,000. Guy nearly mucked his full house when I said I had a flush. He started shouting something in Italian, but luckily for him he mucked his cards face up. I pointed it out to him and he then apologised to me in English so he must of said something bad!

Unfortunately I min cashed for my money back! But I have been told I can play the Day 1C event still so depending on how my PLO Hi/Lo goes today at 2pm, I may be jumping back into the cup at 9pm tonight!

Sorry for the size of the pictures, having problems how to re scale them if there is a way? Tried linking images from Imgur but it says that the image is no available, so had to reduce the quality of the photo, also reduced the size but the size stays the same on this website.

Photos are fine for me, perfect size! Don't know how I missed this one either, seeing as I'm in for 5%

You could have at least moved the camera slightly for the selfie pic to get the PokerVIP patch in!

It was when I did it on the computer, they looked huge when I inserted and previewed them 😂 They look fine a phone but yeh lol.

Ahh! Unfortunately I bust out in 11th place, still cashed but I know I could of done better! Made some good calls and some good folds. It's a really interesting game. Here's just a couple of pictures. Starting Stack, 1st break chip stack and the bust out card! Ignore the hand in the second picture, I wasn't involved in that, just needed to set myself back a bit to get a picture of all the chips!

Going to be playing the PokerStars Cup again tonight at 9pm. As I've been told I can enter even though I've already cashed, I may as well!

Have to make it to 20% of the field tonight to min cash, or I need to last till the last 15% to make it through to Day 2 which is tomorrow at 4pm!

The Cup Day 1C didn't go as planned. By the first break I had double my starting stack, but as soon as I got back everything went down hill and I bust out not long before break number 2

Got invited out last night by William Kassouf and Ted (UKIPT Birmingham winner) and got extremely drunk! Met up with Jake Cody, Ludovic Geilic, Neil farres and others! Pictures to follow, didn't get in until about 8 this morning. Banging headache but a great laugh

Congrats on the cash in the PLO! Lets get that one step further and hit a final table next time

Thanks Ross, hopefully I will keep it going! Definitely wouldn't mind this lifestyle! Apart from yesterday, felt horrible all day, definitely took in to much alcohol

I watched the episode with him last night, do you want to know what sick thing is? He bust out on the feature table running his KK into AA. He's just bust the EPT main on the feature table running KK into AA 😩 7 hours after watching it, it happens again!
