20k hands reached so far this month... 10k to go (today+tomorrow). I just hope to see some nice green on Sunday evening.
One hand that I played a little bit bad, but man, can't stand those rivers.

30k hands reached!!! Clap
I don't really like the way I played so far, but I feel that I am improving overall. I still have difficulties playing with 3bet/4bet preflop especially OOP but I'll figure it out eventually.
Here are my stats and graph so far:
Attached Image

Attached Image

I still have alot to play until 80k hands, but with a little bit more commitment I might even brake that target and reach 90k hands in the end.
Bankroll is now at around 300$ since I bought 20$ with starcoins. I hope to get it to 400$ and try NL10 from June.
Good luck all!

How much do you focus on your stats and also analyzing other players stats?
Posted 7 years ago
@Jon-PokerVIP Is this a trick question or something?! Smile

I am aware of the way I am playing. I have some difficulties to deeply analyse villains stats since I play at alot of tables, but I have most of my stats on HUD (which I think are important), so I am pretty much quiding according to that.

I've noticed that some of my opponents are adapting to my loose late position play and 3bet, or play back quite often but it is really interesting and keeps my brain allert. It hels me to learn the game and try different aproaches at the tables, wich if go wrong don't cost me that much as it would cost me at upper limits. I am color coding this villains diferently to pay more attention to them.

This is my HUD:
Attached Image

VPIP/PFR/Hands
3Bet/Fold3Bet/4Bet/Fold4Bet
(steal)CO/BTN/SB/(fsteal)BTN/SB/BB
Cbet(flop,turn,River)/Fcbet(flop/turn/river)

I still have some work to do with HM2. Right now I just set it not to mix stats from different limits and hands not older than 3 months to see what changes.
I can't find the option in HM2 in which when I double click villains stats to show against hero stats (but overall, not only from that table). Where can I find this thing?!

Good luck all! Smile

July Van7 wins $10.14 (net +$5.10)
Hero collects$1.37 (net -$5.04)
Mosphit28 lost $0.45

I didn't noticed the second villain until the turn. Angry of course that I made a brainless move here as well.
Yesterday I took a brake from poker on STARS, and played only a few hands at SH on ipoker since I didn;t had time to grind as I like. Tomorrow I'll be busy as well but from Thursday I hope to grind big time until on Sunday. So far I have only 35k hands.

45.000 hands left to play.

Hey, I just didn't read through this entire post but just the first and last page. Seems you're doing alright at NL5 which is awesome man!
Don't get too angry at your mistakes, everybody makes them and if you're not making mistakes you're not improving. Just make sure that instead of beating yourself up about them, mark the hand when you think something went wrong and then analyze it in detail when away from the table. That way you make sure you prepare yourself for the situation when it comes up again in the future, which is the best way to handle mistakes IMO.

One thing I noticed about your HUD is that you're missing the AF and WTSD stats. To me these are absolutely vital and probably more important than any other stats (except VPIP and PFR of course).

AF will tell you how often people are betting or raising and it is hugely important when trying to figure out if someone is bluffing or not.

When you have a player with AF of 1 raising a dry flop like T42, it is pretty much always a monster hand and you should strongly consider folding hands as strong as JJ.

Conversely, when a player has an AF of 5 I am calling him down with any decent pair all the way. Sometimes you will run into big hands and feel a bit silly but in the long run it is definitely profitable because they will be bluffing so much.

WTSD is very important when you think about bluffing and value betting.
Under 25 is low. 25-30 is normal. Over 30 is high.Over 40 is a complete calling station.

When you see a player with WTSD of over 30, don't even think about running a multi-street bluff against them. You can still C-bet a really dry board because they will miss completely sometimes and just give up. As soon as you get called though just shut down.

When you see a player with under 25 you can definitely barrel good turn cards. A prime example would be: You raise AQ and get called. The flop comes J42 and you C-bet and get called. This will probably any 2, 4, J, 33-TT and some straight draws. Now when a Q or K comes on the turn you can barrel these guys off almost their entire range.

@kiehapoker Hi there! Smile Thank you for the advices.
I had the stats mentioned above including W$SD, or 3betSBvsBB and some other stats but I decided to take them out of the HUD since it was a little bit to much for the tables and for the eye. I admit that the stats WTSD and W$SD were of no help for me, I rarely looked at them to be honest, but I know that they are very good stats to guide for.

If there is anything "interesting" happening postflop, like raise cbet, check/raise cber or donk bet, I click on the pop-up and analyse more carefully the situation (icluding agression on all the streets and so on).

Overall I think that at this microlimits, my HUD is good enough to rely on and take good decisions that may bring profit on the long run.

Good luck! Smile

Posted 7 years ago
Sounds like you're doing a lot of things right. One thing I like about your HUD is that you differentiate between steals from CO, BTN and SB. A lot fo people just use the general steal stat which is not enough IMO.

I think there is a risk of relying too much on specific stats though. I personally don´t use stuff like Fold to turn C-Bet too much anymore. The WTSD stat gives you a very good idea of an opponents tendencies and then it comes down to ranges.

That´s kinda where I was going with my answer, I think you should always think about hand ranges more than just relying on stats alone. There are a lot of pros out there who don´t even use a HUD. If you develop the ability to know what ranges a player has when he calls your C-bet it is more valuable than reading numbers from a HUD.

But like I said, you seem to be doing this quite well and everybody has their own style of course.

Keep up the good work! Smile

When are you planning to move up? $400? $500?
Posted 7 years ago*
I'd like to have at least $400 because I play at 24 tables at a time and the swings are brutal sometimes. I had 10 buy ins downswings almost every month so far. So 40 buy ins rule should do the job up to NL25 I guess.
Maybe I'll implement a 5 buy ins stop loss if the swings are more often at uper limits.
Attached Image

As you can see on 2nd of May I had an 8 buy ins downswing in one session which felt pretty bad. Smile
After the last update from yesterday, I played an another short session that went great. I almost reached $400 bankroll. Smile
Good luck!
Posted 7 years ago
You're posting 5bb/100 while 24-tabling? Holy shit that is nice work man! Yeah 40 buy-ins for moving up is a great rule, just make sure you move back down if you drop to 30 Wink

5 buy-in stop loss is also a great idea. 8 in a session would mess with my mind too, I'm sure I wouldn't play my A-game after that.

Keep doing what you're doing Smile
Posted 7 years ago
Quick question, you play FR or 6-max? Stars or a smaller site?
Posted 7 years ago*
I play on STARS at FR tables. In some days I play on BetFair at the SH tables to learn more about the game because it is more agressive at 6-max.
Posted 7 years ago*
Finished a super bad session again. Lost 6 buy ins from which 2 were somehow donated. Sad
I guess that I'll stay at this limit at least until the end of the month.
Attached Image

Attached Image

What can I say, some sick setups and a bad beat made my session suck big time. Maybe I could have saved some buy ins at 2 hands (the one with the flush and the KK one) but the rest were prety standard.

I played so far 53.000 hands and the bankroll dropped to $380.
The next update will be on next Sunday!
Good luck all! Smile
