@daveo The best players at the top of the game often spend 80%+ of their time on poker studying the game and looking at how they and the people they play against play then 20% or less of their time actually playing and exploiting an enhanced edge.

I think Polk has said he puts 90 - 95% of his time into study. Similarly for Redbaron, Alienslayer and others. They don't get good by just playing, they play then study more than they play.

If you want to get better for every hour you play spend 4 hours plus studying the hands you played, reading through forums, posting hands, and engaging in open discussions about poker.

I went back to basics the last 2 weeks and stopped playing on microgaming because I cant track all my hands on anon tables which is a big thing for me. I use to play 2 anonymous and 2 reg tables. My poker home now is Natural8/Tonybet.

You cant auto pilot with no hud..I hope

Started a word document with various notes from articles etc and I give this a read before a session which is good prep, streaming some sessions on Twitch which stops me from going into auto pilot. If i am not streaming I am in Spraggy's stream and waiting to make some easy money on Tonybet, watching this guy play MTT's does make me want to play them but I just cant grind for 8-12 hours a night.

To do:
Need to have a look at my opening ranges, think I am being play to tight but I am going to do this after watching Iron Fist on netflix.

Bankroll
Healthy roughly 50 buyins for 10nl, In december at 4nl I only had 50 euros.

4 months later...I havent played much poker and Iron Fist was awful.

I love the game and still like watching it on Twitch and occasional streaming it but I had some time away because I recently completed a half marathon and it takes time to train and build up the distance and the mental game for running.

So went around the usual poker sites and I wasn't shocked to see Stars and rakeback being in top of most forum posts Things never change :P. Alot of sites I use to play on seem to have died, bad times. (PKR, BV)

So logged into my party account, booted up a 2NL table and looked at my hud, apart from the standard stats I was lost. I normally play 10nl but due to a huge break I thought will keep the mistakes to the minimum.

May go back to the no hud sites but MTT's are calling me..

Considering trying out Tigergaming but I wouldn't have a hud. Has anyone had a problem withdrawing funds etc?

Returned to the cash games and hasn't gone that well...and the tables constantly breaking up or people sitting out all the f-ing time has really been getting on my tits.

I was not playing my A game and I lost one buying to just pure tilt, I could say its a bad run but I think i have just played badly. For example, I just made the decision i am not folding to the 60 vpip 10 PFR guy, and obviously I was wrong and should have folded when he makes his hand on the river. I haven't been enjoying the grind as much as I use to due to the tables breaking constantly and it feels like a reg festival on Ipoker.

Added the graph and leakbuster stats below. I need to watch some motivational videos and go for a run tomorrow to get myself bank on the grind, but I am becoming more tempted by MTT's all the time.

Feeling good and positive, went back to my safe place.

Where is my safe place? Unibet no huds and soft games but soft games dont bring luck Smile

I find the 3bets/4bets are very very polarised and the worst your going to see is AKo, but in some rare occasions you do see some random 100bb all ins with trash. If i join a table and I am dealt pocket 10s say in the first 3-5 hands the temptation to call one of these shoves is tempting in case this is a whale with K9s wanting to gamble.

I don't think even think a fish will go all in with AA with 100bb stack because they are going to be worried that everyone folds.

So currently down a roughly 2 buyins overall which is ok, started note taking again currently reading a lot of books and sticking with the cash game but mite take a night of to get the MTT urge out of my system.

Hopefully 20nl soon

Reading and note taking has given me more confidence at the table. Still craving a MTT bink...

Made a few rash decisions on unibet but overall cant complain. My graph below but only been doing this manual tracking for a few days I think this is roughly 10k hands at a guess not a huge amount.

Added a clip of hero call on the stream, this is a marginal spot but based on how the guy was playing I couldnt give him credit and I made my mind up on the turn i was calling river.

MTTS today - well it didnt go well and payouts just aint worth the time unless you top 4.

Going to take a stab at 20/25nl soon, what I am concerned about is traffic on unibet above 10nl is relatively low for example right now its 7:30 pm and there are 50 people in the pool. Is it worth moving site due to a low amount of traffic?

Been playing a lot of SNG's and the odd MTT haven't felt like playing cash recently. Early days but there seems like there is a lot to learn I feel out of my comfort zone but thats what is making fun i think because I am constantly learning. I also like the bubble feeling, its just a bit more exciting then cash.

I am only playing MTT's to break up the SNGs no cashes in the MTT's but right now I have no expectations to bink a MTT anytime soon but who knows. The webcam tourneys on 888 can be hilarious if people are using the webcam properly and havent put a bag over it. A few ladys do like the webcam Wink

Webcam games on 888? I thought they no longer existed!

How is the transition?
