Well, Stewie, I always consider your opinion very much. I just don't like the dynamics of the software. If I play 6 tables, I always have to be guessing where I gotta play because software doesn't highlight clearly which table is asking for my attention.

Really? You can change around the settings to make it noticeable:

This will make the table flash at you when an action is required

And this will mean the only sounds are warning sounds for when you need to make an action Smile

I just think that you gotta give software time I hate the Ipoker set up but got used to it, I just don't like the player pool there now :') 888 is one of the simplest (In fact IMO THE simplest) sites to play on and that's why the fish LOVE it! You can table select VERY easily, there is a good waiting list system and good visual notes. I'm not saying stars sucks its sick aha but 888 is soft and very user friendly which means lots of fish without much hassle so you can focus on playing and building the roll rather than table selecting etc.

I know that a few ppl had the same issue as you maybe it is just something to get used to but you will thank me in 3 months time I'm 100% Wink

Spending all my time at 888, I agree with everything Stewie said there, 100% !!
If you can handle some swings (you play against an unbelievable amount of plain stupid people!), this is THE place to go for building a bankroll.
It took me two or three days to make me feel comfortable with the software. Take your time on this and set it up the way you like it. I LOVE the software now!
In my opinion it's one the best on the market and they do a lot of things right.
Also you gotta love the "in between" limits like NL6 and NL30 that make it much easier to slowly climb the limits. They do a very good job in attracting the worst players on the web, and by what I have seen it wont stop, even in NL100 and NL200 you find unbelievable fishes and monkeys. So much prey... it sometimes just confuses me Laugh

One more thing:
whatever you do at 888, stay away from "Oh_Happy_Me". I heard that guy is just a crazy f*cker who will skin you blind with a debile smile Laugh
Honest... don't raise my button... seriously, don't do it 8)

Well, I finally put my money back on 888poker and lasted one session. I decided to withdraw again and this time for good (Sorry guys, I know you have good intentions but PS software is definitely the best). I felt too lost on 888poker. Taking notes is too tedious. And even taking a look at the HUD is more difficult. I don't like it at all.

So I returned to PS. And back to NL5. This time I'm gonna focus on building a bankroll and how much % I win or lose in each session. Gonna try it to take it easy and build a stronger mental game.

However, I think I am building it because I've gone from NL5 to NL10, then to NL5, then to NL10, then to NL5, then NL10 and back to NL5. And I haven't gone broke. Lost temper some times but Im still alive & kicking.

So well... I had to sweet sessions. One yesterday and a better today. Still got to work a lot but hope this time I'll walk through a better path =)

After four month of losing in a row, I finally have a positive one.

I'm happy about this result. Not only becuase It's a winning month but also because my all in EV is also positive (much more than what I actually won)

This is my bankroll ATM. I type my results day by day. I mean, I don't take into account HEMs overall graph. I take into account this one becuase here I can see my results with the plus of bonuses (pokerstars doesn't have rakeback but they return you some money after you reach certain goals. It probably isn't as good as rakeback but It is something. Of course If I was a Supernova that would be much more profitable)

When I started playing I divided my bankroll in three (cash, sit & go and tournaments). I haven't payed much attention to sit&Go and tournies. Truth is cash is what I most like. So, no matter if cash looks like out of roll since I actually take into account my whole bankroll. But since I started this graph with those divisions, I will keep them till the end of times.

So, the true line to take into account is the grey one.

And this is what HEM shows as my overall graph so far since I started playing in july 2013. Around 300K and a rate of 0.17bb/100.

I am more or less happy with this because my orange line is going up again. Of course I'm in a period of learning, finding my game, etc. I've had some tough moments and some moments when I was on tilt. So I lost bankroll during some periods in an unbelievable speed. But im having more control of that. And as I mentined above, my EV after each session is usually positive. Of course sometimes it is not, but in general I have a positive one.

Today I'm happy. Maybe tomorrow I'll be crying. But THAT is something I have to learn to deal with. And it's what I'm trying to do.

March will be my last month before vacation. Then, on april, I'll be a whole month in Europe (going to several conuntries) so It will be good to disconnect completely from poker for a month.

In March I would like to find some leaks on my game. So I was planning on asking YOU to take a look to a session of mine (a 15min would be ok if you think), if that is possible =)

There are some things I don't know if I'm doing ok. I'm trying to play less certain kind of hands OOP but sometimes I find myself calling to raises from BB with hands like KJ or AQ and maybe that's a leak.

On the other hand, I tend to CB a lot OTT when I don't have a hand and if I get called I will usually resign the pot and just check/fold.

But well... would be cool If I could find certain details and make my game more solid.

I'm playing less suited connectors or gap connectors OOP since once you told me to avoid that because it's true it is little profitable to play those hand OOP.

Great post and so glad to see a win. Shows that grinding makes things become good. Awesome wp.

Make a 45 min video and we can get Stewie to review it as a coaching video for you? Free of charge of course.

This cool with you Stewie?

That would be great, Jon. =)

Had a great session tonight. Unfortunately variance didn't catch up to my play. I had like 5 bad beats. Too bad because I started firts 15 mins winning 3 buy ins.

Ended session winning $2 dollars with an all in EV of +$22.

Great news is I handeled bad beats almost without having my heart beat faster. So I took them pretty natural. But hated a bit twice when I said to myself "no 10, no 10, no 10" and 10 came in the river (2 outer). But well, we're playing poker.

My game is my best version right now. My bankroll almost even.

Will I return to positive this month?

Tonight's session:
