Hmmmmmm..... Another bad session...

Maybe I should take a break for a day or 2. Nothing is going my way. I feel I'm good at keeping my emotions under control but these past few days have been terrible. Just a steady downward slope.

I don't feel I'm playing bad, I'm just not hitting ANYTHING, I'd be lucky to even get a backdoor draw on the flop Can't ever go for value as I have nothing... Aces got cracked tonight and ran into about 3 sets =/ Running a little below EV as you can see

The only way I can describe the game over the past week is "boring"... No action or hands that got me excited =/

Obviously another factor that's adding to my negativity is being SOOOO close to 10NL... So close yet so far.... I'm not sure I'm going to have the correct mindset moving up if I keep running so poor

I know I can turn this around but I definitely need to come back next session with a fresh approach

Well that could be untrue and terrible advice but just how I have always pushed myself. However if you are playing bad yes break if you are playing good and it is variance then a break is incorrect. Go with your brain!

Do you feel that book may be somewhat redundant now? What year was it written?

2010 I think! It might be a little outdated but I think it's more relevant than most from browsing the market. There's some chapters on good note taking and using HUD statistics to figure out opponents. Also analysing your own game in PT4/HM. I'll give it a go and report back

So you think your winrate wil be higher at 10nl? Varience comes from having swings which occur most often in fish as they rely more on luck. Therefore games where you have less of a skill edge (ie higher stakes) you will have higher varience. 2-5nl being random in the very short run might give higher varience as you have more big pots but assuming our skill edge is a lot higher given the random spews, we will be winning a lot more of these big pots therefore improving our winrate and making our downswings less negative.

Graph looks sick BTW! What is your bankroll management? With a geaph like that moving up shouldn't be too tough initially

What you said about variance at higher stakes makes complete sense! Never thought of it that way The hardest thing about playing against crazy 5NL fish is trying to put them on a range. They run huge bluffs all the time too so hard to figure them out haha I sometimes feel I don't know how to play against these guys, although I'm very comfortable battling with the regs! I can't complain too much because at the end of the day, they're fish; we all love fish I know I'll get their money in the long run but I can't help but feel super awkward in a lot of weird spots with them. I think I need to find a better strategy against these players. ABC poker should do the job from what I've heard but I bitch out a lot and fold decent holdings probably too much when they donk pot every street =/ I don't know how to describe it... I just can't play the game I'm used to if that makes sense?

BUT, that's not me complaining (or it least I hope it doesn't come across like it) LONG LIVE THE FISH! - I just need to find a way to exploit them more than I do so at the moment

Thanks regarding graph Moving up to 10NL when I have 35 buy ins in my 888 account.. But not going too good at the moment though, I got super close (34 buy ins) but dropped down to like 28 in the past week or so! So a bit off 10NL but the grind shall go on

Unfortunately, I have money spread over a few accounts (which I regret) so technically I'm rolled and ready to go... Might withdraw from Stars & Bwin at some point

I can turn this around! Just trying my hardest to stay positive
