How y'all doinggggg? Time for an end of month report

This month, like last, had it's ups and downs! I moved up to 10NL and ran/played terribly so took a step back to 5NL. As you can see in the graph, about halfway through the month, nothing was going my way... Since then though, all feels good! Working on my game as much as I can and back enjoying poker!

I feel my playstyle is leading to very big swings at times so maybe I should try stay out of the high variance spots in the future. Possibly something to look at.

Didn't finish with amazing results for the month overall but I feel very positive for the future!

Not sure about the turn size but wanted to keep both players in, thoughts?

River you should not overbet as you will generally just get tons of folds. Turn make it slightly large and river make a 1/2 pot type sizing to get called by sets, 2 pairs and maybe even some overpairs.

I'd cbet bigger to around 70 - 75c. Prob chk turn because not a lot will call that I beat on that board and I'm a nit, then I'd get owned on the river.

Please allow me to make a suggestion that I found helpful. Dump the ev line, it only made me feel bad when running below and 'Am I playing good or getting lucky all day' when running above. Neither deception matters imo, gogo green line.

Break-evennnnnnnnnn stretch this month! Things haven't been going my way entirely this year but it's all ok! These swings and breakeven stretches have encouraged me to study more. I'm confident in my game at the moment, so I'm sure I can crush the rest of the year

Nice little break! Have any of you guys been? Any spots you'd recommend?

I like your mindset dude, The first 11 days of April have been swingy and just slightly winning as well for me. I wouldn't say there was a one moment where "everything changed for me". It was a pretty good feeling to go from loosing to break even player at 5nl, i got there from simply putting in volume, 3betting for value, and hitting the fold button every once and a while. Handling tilt better, hand ranges, table selecting, player types, cbetting more, opening the BTN and CO more, 3bet bluffing, and barreling turns and rivers is probably what took me from a breakeven player to slight winner.

When i was loosing/breakeven player I was like 19/14/5 (31 WTSD) on my HUD. Now i'm like 23/20/8 (27 WTSD).

it's hard to tell what really is the breakthrough. You could think your crushing but really just running well for 50k hands. That's why looking at results over a short sample really doesn't tell us much. One of the first coaches I listened to would say if you want to know how your really playing, look at results over 100k hands at minimum. This will give you an idea of what your true win rate is (but still can be flawed a few bb/100).
