Interesting you say there are not as many tricky spots. So you reckon plays are just way more standard?

Did you send me in a 5nl Zoom video a while ago by any chance for review?
Posted 8 years ago
@Jon-PokerVIP I did indeed! You already reviewed it SmileVid Here

There was also a Snap vid on 888 but I PM'd you to ignore it as it was quite boring!

Regarding 10NL, yeah plays seem to be more straight forward! There's a lot of fold equity post flop so I'm confident in firing 2nd/3rd barrels

Oh interesting someone called colinator sent me one and I assumed it was you - whoooooopsy gona have to clear that up in the description lol.

I am going through them all daily now so will do it no probs Smile

Thanks for motivating comments guys!

In other life news, I'm trying out a diet Surprised I don't think I really need to lose too much weight, I'd be a happy with 1/2 a stone! 1500 calories a day and 5km walk! Any other tips?

I'm trying out intermittent fasting and loving it. Last meat will be around 10pm and I then have my next meal at around 1pm which can then be 1k calories then some snacks that add up to 1k calories through the rest of the day. 1500 calories is likely too low. How much do you weigh ATM?

deem this world is going crazy ,poker forum discussion about weightloss and calories.

@Cookie Monster Interesting Surprised Where you hear about this? Do you focus on what you eat in particular or just stick to the times? I only weigh 10st 11lb. Pretty small build so I think I should be closer to 10st

@lennuk Fitness is a part of a load of forums! Nothing to be ashamed of haha Nice to have an off topic discussion on here every now and again

Some guy on YouTube haha, will find the link later for you Smile he gives out a pretty nice plan if action to get ripped and and it starts but cutting down to a certain waist size/body fat which is what I'm trying to do now Smile

I try to eat OK, butttt normally flop and eat some shitty stuff :/ but if I stay in calorie deficit I atleast should lose some weight, even if I ate just farry foods Smile

There's a lot of talk I've seen lately about Matthew Janda's Applications No-Limit Hold em.. Anyone check it out? I heard it's super in depth and pretty math heavy =/ I know most books are out of date these days but this is one of the notable books in the past 5 years. Most of my study comes from on here or YouTube, wouldn't mind a book for out on the road... or on the shitter Cheeky

If you want a boon then you will benefit anlot more from mgop and mgop2.

Applications of nlhe is great, but unecesarybunles you are playing 200nl+ Wink

It is very math heavy and goes through how to create GTO approach strategies from what I remember of it (only read the first few chapters).

Seems GTO is not really spoke of as much nowadays? Or is it just part of the norm now you think so no need to say it rly?
Posted 7 years ago
Did you ever dedicate a lot of time to GTO @Jon-PokerVIP or just focused on exploitative play?
Posted 7 years ago
I know for a fact that Jon didn't dedicate lots of time to GTO Wink

I'm making a video series and in there it has an episode on how best to work on GTOish approach plays without getting too mathsy, I'll share on my journey when it's up Smile
