Yeh all about the graphs Smile

My graph just goes down from the beginning so there really is not much to show in my graph it is one continuous line downwards.

Well the red line just goes down and down too!
Just a small loser yesterday, losing $36 first session and winning $29 second, so not too bad!
Posted 10 years ago

when ur red line is way down its because you are folding the best hand to often how many hands have you tracked

I have seen graphs of very winning players with a downward sloping red line too, ha ha.
I have 25k hands total since I started playing. I often wonder if I call too much and dont stab enough. The blinds play a huge part in my red line as when I filter for non blind hands my red line is totally the opposite and slopes upwards.
Thanks for taking an interest pokershark.

Whats your calling range on the button ur red line been down all the time is a huge leak specially if its away down you need to start fighting back 2players to a flop if checked to you on a shitty flop like 3 9 4 rainbow half pot bet will be enough to get rid of the villain an if he calls dependen on the turn but if its blank fire again his going to missing the flop something like 60% of the time calling him down is just gonna get you into trouble on the turn or river if you miss an your just spewing BBs away always be the aggressor take notes colour code fish one colour an regs another an attack the fish hard an keep away from anyone yo feel has an edge on you if you pm me il give you my Skype you can join our chats I used to know nothing a month ago now im crushing on pokerstars even on a down swing its brake even

I've improved my red line a bit recently, it always used to be straight down pretty much. One thing that has noticeably improved it for me.... when I started my br recently at 4nl, I was half pot cbetting and was getting called by every fish on the table so I switched to 70% and the red line is now going in an up direction. Obviously we need to play the button/CO more aggressively too, this will help. I think at 10nl+ 4betting ip will bring it up but this doesn't work at 4nl imo, get shoved on too often as its rare for someone to 3bet light here.

What style do you play?

I guess I play TAG mostly, I am not good enough post flop to play LAG. My understanding of the redline is that if I steal the blinds more often my red line improves, but they no foldee at .10/.25 at Party, also so many of the regs 3 bet like nutters from the blinds with 14-20% 3 bet stats, I cant even move tables as it is the same on them all.
Red line improves if you just dont keep calling raises and folding to cbets, ie float more to take it away later after they dont fire the 2nd barrel, but I find they just keep barrelling without thought. I float lots as people are c betting 88% etc. Value betting thinner is also supposed to help the red line, so is double and triple barreling! My red line is fine in pots where I am not in the blinds. But I do feel that ultimately what matters is the green line but of course being the loser that I am to date my overall line is no good!
For now I need to develop proper strategy especially in the 3 betting game. I have searched far and wide for articles on 3 betting strategy and videos and I cant find what I am after. To me all this 3betting 20% out of the blinds is so wrong. There is a difference between 3betting IP and OOP, there is a difference between 3betting people who call 3 bets and those that dont, you can raise more for value against those that dont fold to 3 bets etc. Also how to play in 3 bet pots overall, how far to go with TPTK or an overpair. Against a less than full stack fish then going all the way with TPTK or an overpair is fine as SPR will be 3 and less so its almost automatic to stack off there, but what about verses the regs when the SPR is 4.5 and you have TPTK or an overpair etc. As much as I try to think of these things I am just getting more and more confused right now, probably not helped because I am not winning and I feel I am good enough to at least be a small winner overall.

Hi - I am back playing again after a year and change hiatus once again mostly for health reasons. I am not sure quite why I started again though I guess mainly to keep my brain active. I am playing without a roll and wont be great volume as I get tired to quick, short bursts of like 1.5 hours is plenty for me.
To be honest I have never been a winner at cash games. In my first spell I played 25k hands and was down 10BI, my EV line says I should have been down 1 BI, but not sure whether to take the EV line to literally.
To start off with this time around I am only 1 tabling until I get back in the swing a little more and I am playing at Party where there is no use of huds and note taking becomes more important.
I have played 3k hands so far and just behind the eight ball after a couple of silly calls.
I am not sure why to date I havent been a winner, I try hard to understand all the concepts watch all the videos and read about poker a lot but just cant piece it all together. I try hard not to tangle so much with the regs in big pots but feel they just run me over, I guess I never got past playing weak tight.
I feel my faults are being weak tight, not 3 betting enough and not knowing how to continue in 3 bet pots, I have no idea what my 3 betting range should look like on the button v a cut off or early position raiser. I think I am better 3 betting from the blinds than the button. I seem to have lost my way with c betting too as I have got confused.
Another thing is that after every break the game seems to move on and it takes a while to catch up and see how people are playing. I will keep on trying to do my best and learn as I go.

WELCOME BACK

So sick to see people come back after a whole year off. I did wonder where you had gone!

So you say playing without a roll....so whats the plan?
Posted 8 years ago*
Thanks John, I am not sure I have a plan, just need something to do and to challenge my brain and even myself. As I say I have yet to conquer cash games though I do feel that I am a better player with a little more knowledge than before since I read up and watched videos etc before I restarted. I am just slowly playing myself back in but to date since my return I am down a couple fo BI's. My immediate goals are to learn one thing at a time. Firstly I concentrated on 3 betting from the blinds and feel despite losing I am getting it from the sb but not from the bb as I think it is different hand types for 3bet bluffs. I am mostly concentrating on when the raise comes from late position. I am not sure on how to proceed post flop at times after getting called though. Next I want to learn 3 betting ranges from the button but as of now I have no real idea as to how to construct these depending upon where the raise comes from. I read that when the co opens your 3 bet bluffs should be hands that are not good enough to call like say K8s etc but have no idea if this is correct, where does this leave hands like AQo and QJs v a co open, I see good players saying these should be 3 bet along with suited aces but then I see another good player saying you should call dependant upon how likely you are to get squeezed etc and how often you will get called by the opener. So its a little confusing knowing what is best. Maybe some of my literature is out of date as I am sure the game has moved on since I last played.

Heres a hand that made me laugh, cant remember how to post HH these days but here goes

Gosh I wish I could play this bad and get the money, cold call a 3 bet QJo in co and get the money albeit verses a whale with TPMK, still made me chuckle though.

Won a couple of BI's last couple of days mostly due to a read I had verses a whale, my read was that he pots it with any part of the board(he was short stacker, so never was 3 streets), I kept letting him pot it calling him down with good 2nd pairs etc, but he still did the same next hand and I kept calling him down, I expected him to have it sometimes but he never did, and he kept reloading.

Poker is certainly not dead after seeing that hand history lol

Sounds like the viffer story from 2m2m...know what i mean?

Not sure I know that one Jon.

Starts at around 31mins

Thanks Jon!

Its been a decent couple of days and I have moved 36 dollars ahead after being 40 dollars down since I restarted. I am struggling to play enough volume as after about an hour and a half I am spent so it will have to continue to be an exercise in just exercising my brain rather than being a more serious gig.
I feel I am playing well enough and taking notes on most of the players has proved beneficial and necessary as no HUDs allowed. Need to learn more and take one step at a time. I still need to sort out my button 3 betting range which I am struggling to find right now. Another thing is that it seems I never 3 bet v utg but feel I should as they mostly cant take the heat and should be folding quite often to a 3 bet, but not sure what hands to do it with.

Here is my graph since I restarted, my lines are all over the place

Been on a winnig streak last few days topped up by winning 3 way all in when I hit top set on flop and held on v AA and QQ.

I dont know how to post my stats and that but they are not great, 3bet is too low at 5.9, its fine from sb but so low from bb and button

Small sample so don't worry about the hands buddy! Loads of time to get those corrected and that will come naturally over the next 50k hands or so. Keep it up!
