I don't play live so much these days. I used to be in a poker league playing live tournaments at a place called Riley's. A pool and snooker club mainly. They had had the poker league there and last time I called up they had stopped it. However I'd rather try to find some cash games these days, so maybe I'll venture out some time.

Yeah I'm in between Manchester and Liverpool, play mostly at Didsbury or Bury New Road in Manchester or Leo's in Liverpool, did play at New Brighton a bit but that closed a bit back. Mainly tournaments, though at Dusk Till Dawn for all this weekend

Hey all I'm back for another update.

Right... well I wasn't able to play yesterday as I was away from my home for the day and night.

But I've put in a few hands today at least.
All the big hands of the session today seemed to be postflop and not many preflop all ins.
On top of what I played today, I've received £5 of my deposit bonus.

The session started kinda bad with some aggressive playing back from a reg or two that I've played often here and there.
Had to make some big folds again... which to be honest I think is partly what is keeping me doing well. Keeping some of the hero calls at bay and most of the bigger calls I've made today have been winning.

So it's business time.

Hands played today 1286

Profit made today from hands played only = +£5.43

Ending balance today = £113.55

That's a total profit (inc bonus) of £40.05

Ok so as a bonus, just because I've noticed my numbers on my tracking software are here. I'll post a picture of some stats over 9657 hands.
Mainly because it's so close to 10k hands.
All these hands are played over .02 .04 NL Holdem 6 max at Titan Bet Poker.

Some stats for people to criticize!




I've calculated that at the moment I'm running at 9.26/100bb for this small sample.

Hello once again fellow button clickers

Tonight I'll be out performing with a band about 20 miles or so away and so I'll not be able to play during the evening.
I did put in a small session this afternoon at least, but now I have to get things ready before I head out in an hour or two.

The session was pretty fun and some interesting hands.

One where I called a big blind 3bet on the button with AT suited and flopped three T's for a stack against a reg with KK.
So I guess I was fortunate there, but I'll occasionally make the call with a suited broadway PF.


Anyway, I'll have to keep this a bit short and get to the numbers.

Hands played - 608

Profit made today = +£3.45

That's a total profit of £43.50

Ending balance = £117

So not great day for hand numbers, but it's another one in the green so I'm happy.

Ok well here I am again.
I feel I need to update this since I haven't as anyone who's been following may have noticed.

About 2 weeks back (not long after my last post on this) I have issues with my computer, problems with the main hard drive. It came to a point where I was hardly able to run programs and my poker games. It pissed me off a bit and thought I'd have to end up paying for a new PC.
I ended up taking out 60 pounds of my earnings from Titan feeling I'd notbe able to play much until I sorted the issues, and then the following week I played some on my old PC which I have still in my room here (it works ok but is rather slow).
I ended up withdrawing another 30 this last week (since I made 30 in total) and keeping my poker games going well.
My normal PC has since started working properly again. I had a good mess around with it and it had to install some updates (which I think was part of the problem in the first place).
However now a load more space is free on the hard drive and its running fine again from the early part of this week.

So... the problem has been. What happens with this thread? I've been able to take money out of my poker account and then build it back up to that point and take it out again.
This week in particular I'm up I believe over £40 on Titan. Which will leave me at just over £100 in my account after the £90 total in withdrawals.
What nobody actually knows, is that I initially started with just £40 in my account (before I started this thread at £73.50).

The rakeback has been great and I'm feeling good about my game. That's always a bonus too.
The sad thing is... I'd be playing at NL10 now if I hadn't taken any money out. But I shouldn't be far off if I continue at my normal pace.

So this post is to let anyone following know that I haven't rage quit or had a bad run etc and stopped this thread. It's just been some PC issues that have put me in a bit of a weird position as to what to do with this thread after taking money out.

Btw Jon... There are videos on my PC of the band, I'll have to get them up somewhere. (I hope you like AC/DC hah).

Good to hear you have not rage quit buddy. I feel your pain - twice in my life i have had huge computer issues which deffs tilted me, stopped me earning and ended up generally losing everything i had on it. It really is just like a carpenter having a blunt saw. He can't do anything properly so it fucks his day up and would leave him feeling pretty damn shit.

I'll be back at some point in the new year, for now this is what I'll be doing whilst I take a little break.

Ok so today is a new day and hopefully the start of something good. I really feel it.
I've taken a small break from the games over Christmas time and really feel refreshed.

But today I'm happy to say I've officially been made a member of the PokerVIP Staking Team.
I really hope to put my best into this and do both the team and myself proud.

Jon has confidence I have the mind to put %100 into this and I really will do my best.
I've been playing guitar for over 12 years now, and I remember when I was in the earlier years and going through learning curves as I went to college. I sometimes spent literally all night sitting up and try to learn and improve on techniques, or things I heard on CD's etc. I'd get no sleep and then go to college the next day and have my lectures and sit in a little practise room on my own. I wasn't too social back in those days, and these days I really am a very different person in that regard. But the practise and study pays off, and also the reason I was doing what I did... wasn't because I felt I needed to just practise so much, but it was also because I ENJOYED the learning and progress making journey! I hope I can put the time, effort andenthusiasm that I was in those days, into poker now.
Obviously I don't really intend on sitting up all night and playing a session the next day with no sleep because I've been studying so much, but I'll make sure I'm always learning and try to feed it into my game.

I'm not sure in what manner this thread will continue, but it might just be somewhere for me to spill my thoughts of the day on to. Talk about the sessions and what I'm up to etc.

Anyway I think I'll leave this here as it is and wish the rest of the team and everyone here the best of luck and variance in their games!
