100k hands in a month on a laptop?? That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard haha! Great stuff getting settled at 100nl! Really don't know how you play with that table theme tho! The old style one is so much better and a lot less cluttered!

Maybe not 'the most' but I sorta second that Smile I'm glad you updated your setup @ProJondi. This will make things much easier.

Hello guys, last day off from poker in August today.

Just need to get some stuff out of my head so i come here writing Smile

Yesterday again we had some of those days that make me feel horrible, this day tend to come after a run hot period stops.
And what that means is, i get effected by bad beats, and when im supposed to turn of the computer i jump into a HU 50PLO,
My plan when i jump on to the HU table, 1 buyin, if i loose it thats fine, but so far its never been only 1 buyin yesterday it was 2 and in total this month its been like 8 Sad man if i could just stick to what i know.

Now also that im starting to get good at 6max NLHE i start to realise i totally suck at everything else i play Cheeky I have come so far at 6max NLHE that i now see i have no strategy at all in other games.

When i have a run good period i just cant help it... i start thinking about 400nl , big tournaments , big money... and i kind of feel a bad session comming.

Sorry for the messed up writing lol, probably doesnt make much sence but i just need to get theese things out of my head so we can start from 0 on friday and finish the challenge off strong.

Looking forward to September, @CrazyCookie and i have some big plans, also i will not have any pressure on myself to finish any hands challenge.

Thanx to everyone thats been following me, positive comments means alot Smile

You are normal for always wanting more and to push boundaries...it is a good thing overall just it has to be a little more controlled and strategic.

The heads up thing sounds pretty dumb yeah so would just cut that out completely.

Remember poker isn't a race and there isn't really a finish line so set a plan for a month - do it, then rinse and repeat.

Keep focused, want more, work harder, be smart and crush.

Dont have to be a professor to figure out that the HU thing is dumb and it has to be cut out, if it was easy for me i woulda stopped it already, theese days i do it very rarely, earlier in my career HU poker would bust my bankroll, also Online casinos have been a problem for me.

I'm working on theese things and i see HUGE improvmements, playing 3 months now i have played the game that iv been working hard on 6max NLHE and i have seen awesome results.

A bump in the road i did experience this time also, as a spewed off 1k ( wich was at the time 30% of my roll ) and i felt miserable.

so far on this journey i have spewed off like 1,5k on silly stuff that only brings pain.

Why do i do it?

I mean i guess its kind of chasing losses, but some days it just isnt even chasing losses i think im going to be enjoying it when i start but i never do.7
Why it brings me back is probably cuz of in the back of my mind i remember the times where i win like 1-5k in a matter of hours playing way too high stakes HU PLO.

Focus of september will be alot on my mental game but also my pokergame, @CrazyCookie and i will do great things in poker, mark my words! Smile

I will for example make a calendar where i get to everyday mark out that i did not play any HU poker or Casino games, to remind me everyday that this is something i dont want to be doing.

September is going to be great Smile

Oh and dont get me wrong , August have been amazing for me, i have improved ALOT and i am going to finish the challenge and im gonna do it with style Wink

Thx,

Had a great day off today, went out on a date with my wife to our favourite restaurant while leaving the kid at grandma Smile

Feeling excited about this weekend , last weekend of August Smile i want to play! Laugh

Quads everywhere

yesterday i was in a had where i rivered a fullhouse with AA board 8552A im fist pump calling his all in raise just to see quad 5s Laugh
today we were running pretty dry and we finally flopped top set and was getting action, flop came 877 i had 88 , he raised me OTR and turn up Quad 7s Cheeky

I wasnt in this pot but 2 guys played a big one JJ vs 66 , flop J6J turn 10 river 6 , bad beat jackpot hit, too bad i wasnt opted in Cheeky

Last quads of the day i open 99 in the CO , BB 3bets i call. Flop comes 10 10 9, he checks i bet half pot and he calls , turn comes another 9 , i bet 24 into 48 and this guy ships all in for 70 total, easy call and he turns up AJ lol Smile

i mean all in all i guess it was an exciting session, and we played well Smile

Damit, that was a tough run on a saturday evening...

Feel like i was just folding and folding and folding , just couldnt hit, when we have the big pairs we get ridiculous runouts like 7896 and just got smacked around.

I guess when it goes too good for a while you need to get smacked back to reality Cheeky

Atleast we didnt go smackin around at the HU PLO streets Cheeky

New day tomorrow, lets crush like we are used to on sundays Smile

sigh, what a nice start to the session and then got into a hand that made me rage quit...

i went for a walk to try and blow some steam off , but i felt irritated by every small action that didnt go my way so i quit early today.

Hand was, i open AKoff OTB , BB 3bets and i flat,

Flop comes A 2 7 rainbow, he bets 7 into 20 and i call
Turn comes 3 he bets 24 , i call.
River comes 5 , he ships and i call , he turns up J 4s , just seeing that ugly hand beat me for an all in pot got me blowing up... and then my flawed mind starts thinking off stuff like if we 4bet pre we just take it down , and if we ship OTT we take it down there... but i wanted to keep in his bluffs and i really felt he was full of it.

oh well hoping for new energy tonight. August is coming to an end, i dont know how many hands iv got in , but im sure im on track, dont wanna open my HEM until wednesday, dont wanna look at results Smile

Fuck what a day....

wife is sick and the kid is going crazy.... i mean i guess i shouldnt have been supposed to play today but thats what a fucking challenge does to you, forces you to play when you know you shouldnt.......

i mean... i accidently saw my cashier balance so i thought fuck it, ill look through the HEM and see how we are doing, and to my surprise we are now

-600$ at 50nl while when peaking half way through the month we were winning 1.1k , losing 600$ over 70k hands ? does not look good.... im freakin out.

to the good news, im winning 2,9k at 100NL im sure iv played good but i do know iv won my fair share of flips and stuff... im starting to freak out...

I feel like iv played the best poker of my carreer over the last 70k hands at 50nl, and im losing 600 ??

This month so far 1,8k+ but im still not liking it

First of all congrats on the amazing discipline. Second of all, I wouldn't sweat the NL50 results that much. Even for a very good player, 100k hands is just a drop in a proverbial bucket of variance and you played way less than that on NL50 alone if you're mixing stakes. As long as you know that you're playing good poker all is well (especially since your NL100 results seem to be backing up that claim).

We did it, feeling super burned out though and not excited at all.

Im gonna take some time off and come back crushing, probably will then appriciate it Cheeky

Congrats! Now it's time to recover and use this challenge as a learning experience to figure out what's the optimal volume for you in the months to come.
