Why don't you stay at 50nl for a bit longer and take a proper shot at 100nl! You will most likely save time in the long run compared to keep dropping back down!

answer to that question is cuz im following the advice of my coach, short shots 5bin shots and rebuild at 50nl if we fail.

1. Short shots are best

Let’s think about 2 different approaches to shot taking. From our sample bankroll management plan above we can see that upon arriving at $875 our plan is to take a 5 buyin shot at nl25. Our threshold for moving back down to 10nl is therefore $750. Let’s compare this with someone who has the same moving-down threshold but likes to take a 20buyin shot at the next limit.

Player 1 – Moves up at $875, takes 5buyin shot.
Player 2 – Moves up at $1250, takes 20 buyin shot.

So why is player 2 taking a 20 buyin shot? Usually players rationalise as follows - “I really hate it when my shots fail, I’d much rather save up and have a really good shot at the limit so it’s less likely I’ll need to move down” Perhaps this rings a bell on an emotional level, but is it actually strategically sound?

Well imagine for a minute that we only drop 1 buyin on our 25nl shot before going on a huge upswing. It wouldn’t have actually made any difference to us whether we were taking a 5-buyin shot or a 20-buyin shot. The main difference is that in order to take a 20-buyin shot we have to spend countless hours grinding at the lower limit, even though our roll is already in ok shape to take the shot.

-5buyin shot , move down at 2500$.
-Play slightly tighter but stick to my winning strategy.
-Avoid high variance situations.
-Play 10k hands and break even to get settled in and comfortable with the new limit.

OK we made it through the first 500 hands, im takin a small break and continue , we are winning so far

some misstakes so far, but thats fine

could have folded in some spots but lets just keep scouting

Damn, we started out so good but ended up losing slightly less than 1 buyin.

But i did not enjoy this at all!

Man those aggro monsters turn me into a frikkin passive nit, and even beeing a passive nit , they seem to 4bet me to get me to fold everytime i 3bet.

sitting here sweating, knowing i definitly am not playing my best game. what should i do????

Ok, new day today, well rested and back from a run, Caught some new pokemons so i am feeling great

Plan for today, stay to the same range as yesterday, avoid stuff we cant stand behind.
Play shorter sessions maybe mix some 50nl with 100nl

I did make some calls that was questionable, i think not horrible but i still think i should be able to fold. we can do this!

what have we learned sofar.

- Players fight more for every pot
what does this mean? its a good thing, we just play abit tighter and value bet more, bigger bets for value and smaller bluffs.

- some regs seem to have big egos :D
what does this mean? it's a good thing, we just dont let them get to us, they are gonna be hanging themselves

stay strong.

I find it abit more 3bet and 4bet heavy.
how do i adjust? We dont 3bet and 4bet bluff as much, we play smaller pots we aim to play IP and let them do the betting.

I guess thats alittle bit, probably more,

Note to myself

-Trust your gut, FOLD , we save money where they dont

- Bluffs have to make sence or they simply just dont work

- Always have a plan for the hand.
