Poker, I've missed you. Can we try again?
Hi all,
Very few of you will know me already but I'll give a brief introduction.
I'm Alan, probably the youngest one in existence in fact at the age of 26. I've played poker since ~2006 on and off. Early years consisted of playing MTT's with decent success. After having a kid, I quit, came back a few times to play cash and had limited success. I was also under the stake here for a brief period playing 50nl on Microgaming.
Having not played for a couple years, I've been itching and feel in a good place to come back. However, I want to prove it to myself I'm able to stay disciplined and I've made the decision to start from the very bottom on my own accord, 4 tabling at 2NL on Pokerstars zoom tables.
4/5 days and 32,929 hands later, I've made a profit of $62.75 showing a bb/100 of 9.53. I then decided yesterday to move up to 5NL and as I'm typing this I've got in 10,696 hands showing a $43.96 profit and a bb/100 of 8.22. It's easy to create a thread when I'm winning but make no mistake I'm under no illusions and completely ready to drop back down whenever I find the need to.
Anyone who has Twitch.tv may have seen my stream pop up as I've streamed my sessions each day for the most part under 'AbstruseAlan'. I welcome anyone to come along and watch and interact with me along my journey. ( https://www.twitch.tv/abstrusealan )
I work between 3pm-3am roughly each Monday-Thursday so most of my play/stream will be around then.
I'm always interested in hand or strategy discussion and will reply to anyone who asks my view on any in this thread
