@MattVIP Ye I don't bother about losing these days, just another day at the office and at least it gives me something to pump my gums about in here.

And yes I was considering jumping on the Jonathan bandwagon and giving plo a proper shot. Or I might try those hyper-turbo SnGs again. I've played a few with no clue but no doubt they can get tough higher. Also DoNs seem nitty but not difficult so I may play a few and see how that goes to build the br up a bit. Not keen on MTTs, too much time needed and I can get very tired very quickly which is why nl has been my 'go-to'.
A change is often as good as a rest though, as 'they' say.

Thanks for the input, always appreciated.

Have fun. Sun

So, buried my brother-in-law at the weekend, think there were around 500 there, 200 blood delivery bikers, a police escort and a fly-by from the air ambulance. Quite the send-off for someone who will be missed by so many. Bowing

Not played much obviously but tried to put a few hands in more as a distraction than anything else. Also tried to take the mighty @MattVIP 's advice and go for SnGs. Party doesn't seem to have much of a pool going for them so I can only play a couple at a time. That's ok, I'm clueless yet anyway so stuck to DoNs which are slow but not hard to cash.
I'll probably find out how to learn those Sit and Go Hero things with a bounty and a luckbox spin to decide the prize pool, people do seem weak there (teeny sample). The main difference is they're 4-handed rather than 3 as per Spin and Go's is all.

You have a fun day.

I forgot I had like 25 bucks on ACR and logged in and started playing some of those Jackpot thingies. ACR's are 3handed like Stars and have to say, yes they are fairly soft. Played some $2 buy ins and did fairly well. Didn't play a ton of them and ran my $25 up to ~$35. Not a whopping profit, but a profit nonetheless. Not to mention I used some profit from them to enter this $3 tourney about 3 times or so, so basically got to freeroll those as a result of the them.

They are pretty fast and pretty easy and the jackpot factor is kind of interesting.

I'll take a look at ACR, but I wasn't entirely enamoured with the place last I logged on; we'll see, I'm getting a bit limited as to places to go these days I've been through so many.
Posted 6 years ago
yeah i hear ya. The site is meh, haven't played any cash games there so no idea how it is. Just had the little bankroll and thought I would have some fun and see if I could spin it up.

Needed cheering up so I watched Jonathan's omaha vid part 4. Definitely have to see that series peeps, you cna learn even if you're a nl grinder. Hedonhiney is so thorough in his explanations, what a beast he must be at his limits.

So anyhooo, I had a quick stab at it so no laughing in the cheap seats ok?!:

'Bout 30 mins of the guy on my left on table one not folding and bluffing my pants off. Think I induced with a flush somewhere along the line.

Have fun, I get the honour of pulling weeds out now. Yay, go me. Thinking

Well had a busy time of late, even I got a bit stressed out.

Not a lot going kindly for me pokerwise last few of weeks, win XBI today, lose XBI+2 tomorrow; same old, same old. Lost 5BI+ 2 days running which hurt, it was 1/2 my br so runing on empty for a bit now. Had to give up the plo shot and the $3 Sit n Go Hero things obv which was a shame, the latter do seem doable for a profit. They'll all have to wait now though.

Lost a few of these in a row now:

This weaktight HH thing is pissing me off now. I could type it out easier ffs. It looks fine on weaktight so why wont it post here without names?

Anyway, here's me dodging out of a face up hand v two regs.

I don't think I can flat preflop given my position, if the BTN decides fk it and ships the BB is obviously going nowhere and now I'm fucked. Plus, point me to a reg raising to that much with less than aces multiway, he's obviously inducing but I was already suspicious from previous actions (know thy enemy stuff). Implied odds for a set mine possible but just too expensive imho.

Let me know what you think, if I was closing I can flat maybe, maybe.

Mesmerizing poetry with cards:

Skip to 1:10 for the tricks

Just amazing...she was dead on "like watching a ballet with cards". Dude must have spent his life working on that trick
Posted 6 years ago
Ok so on the 26th July I had 20.44 and thought 'They think it's all over ...' but it wasn't and I now have 89.14, so I'm back at 2 tabs of nl5 ff again; woohoo go go baller me.

Liking the new updated look of the Party lobby to and the rakeback, although a bit meh for us nl mini-micro gang ( works out at a max of $10 a week for me but hey, whatever), but has at least brough in a load more players. The FF nl5 pool has basically doubled, the only thing is, the games can get seriously aggro - and I mean, seriously aggro!
Played yesterday and it was just hard to even get into a pot without all that raise/reraise/4bet mallarky; tough game sometimes but I manage. Just don't get all medallion man about it and suck up the fold to 3bet % is all.

Thoroughly enjoying the London World Athletics Championships this week, but damnation it's tiring just watching those guys! I used to be a bit hot myself many moons ago but made a few wrong turns for 'reasons'. Armchair athletics is so much easier anyway!

Also not been up to the mark lately, feeling tired a lot, so volume is down from where I would like and of course the threat of going broke tempers ones enthusiasm for taking flips somewhat.
Which reminds me, I still have a feeble cbet (about 60% in 'normal' games) which drops to around the 40% mark in aggro games, so working on that all week.

Anyway, enough waffle, I'm off to pick blackberries with mrs mal and the muttley, who incidentally loves to roll in dead animals but hates the resulting bath time and sulks! Laugh

Have fun, run good.

Nice work on running it up! As I am reading this I am literally logging into Party Poker now to check out the updates. From the pics I have seen it looks like they have sprinkled some glitter on a turd but I may be wrong.

Yeah, congrats on the run @Pwll!

That Shin Lim guy has some really mad skills. I actually know a thing or two about car manipulation and I've been known to entertain people with a card trick or two. I'm usually able to figure out how most of the classic tricks are done, but watching this guy handling cards is something else entirely.

Another nice morning at the tables except for stacking off AK v a UTG reg which was a bit poor; however, that's quite a few in a row now so all's well in malworld. #happywinner

@MattVIP , you're just full of surprises and hidden talents aren't you! I like illusionists, I don't even want to know how it's done, just amaze me please I love the child-like wonder of it all.

br $107 and back to starting stack now! Woohoo! Clap See if I can get to take a stab at nl10 by the end of the month now ...

... challenge accepted! Punch

Nice work, remember AK can be in our flatting range vs UTG
Posted 6 years ago
Quite so bossman, quite so; calling all-in with AK is the pits in that spot.

Short session tonight, games are a total regfest. On Party, if it gets folded round to you in the bb 2 out of 5 times and the numbers are all 20/14/3 and shit, just sit out, pour yourself a nice cold one, play some Mike Gano deep house and work on those flop textures.

Short sessions - good for the ego Clap

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that was nice after picking up the soap for a couple of days. My nice and swingy BR went to 100.34 but on the upslope again now.

BR: 129.37

Tried to watch the mighty w34z4l on twitch yesterday, but he hadn't set up properly after arriving home and it went a bit tits up so I sat that one out. I would say however, he doesn't play propa poka like wot us pilchards does, does 'e, makin' dem der moves an' all!?

Since it's so tough to get into apot these days without it being 3bet somewhere along the line, that's my homework for this week. It's actually a bit tougher than it looks but it's gotta be worth loadsmoney if I can get it even partly right. I'm fine with all the 'we need to defend 40 -45%%' and all that fun stuff, just which 40-45% is where I'm not doing so good!
Time for some equilab, something went tits up with my flopzilla licence and I cant afford to buy it again.

May post a vid of me playing in an aggro regfest for anyone who cares, when I remember.

So anyhooo, it'll be time for a cold 6 pack of Bud tonight and a short session of FF while SWMBO watched bloody Big Brother. I love my little cashpoint to death but she does watch some shit on the telly. Puke

Catch ya later, have a fun Friday. Beer
