Overall gap between VPIP and PFR is too way big and gap between VPIP and PFR in SB is WAYYYYYYYY too big, its often bad to flat call in the SB so the gap shouldn't be more than a few %. 3bet stats a bit low. CO & BTN can defo be wider. W$SD is a little low but its hard to tell without looking at WWSF and River call eff. Would be interesting to see flop, turn and river agg. Saying that can't argue with results GJ Laugh

Thanks Stewie, I will post them stats later on if you could look at them for me please? The SB gap is due to just completing blinds when everyone is limping as I will go along for the ride with any 2 cards, obv with half decent ones I will raise. Do you recommend to stop doing this?

Thanks again

Ye ofc man Smile And although it is tempting to complete its probably not +EV enough as we are going to be OOP post flop and will be drawn into some horrid spots flopping PTWK, Pair + BD etc. so you might find they aren't that profitable. You could set up a filter to check. It will be along the lines of Preflop opportunities > Hero limp, coupled with Hero Position> SB. Then you will see if you are making money in those spots, you could also set up a filter to see if you are making money by cold calling OOP as well to get an idea of how it effects your win rate. If completing in the SB yields a tiny gain then think of the brain power you are wasting to win 0.2bb/100 or something then weigh up if it is worth it Smile

Thanks again Stewie,

I think I applied the correct filters that you said and I was quite surprised at the results, I am actually losing loads from the SB and the BB by limping so I will not be doing that any more!! Thank you for pointing that out for me.

This month is crazy!! What more can I say??

Few basic things that stand out from your stats

VPIP

Cut off = 18.8% --- this should really be over 25%. Just open a little bit wider than you are. K7s, K8s, K9s you can easily add in hands like this. Also checking when the btn and blinds are nitty will help. If they loose and 3b alot you can tighten up. If they are complete nits you can open pretty relentlessly.

Button = 26%. This should be about 40%. You can min raise pretty much any 2 there. Just start building that into your game and you will start to see profits pretty quickly. Remember the sb and bb are called this for a reason..THEY ARE BLIND BETS. So if they put the money in blind we have a huge edge here.

Graph: Little swingy but shows great signs.

Keep on doing what your doing

Thanks Jon I will take this all on board. I have been raising my button alot more recently but probably no where near enough. I have a few things that have been pointed out to me that I need to work on that being one of them. Thanks for your input sir.

Hi people I havent updated for a few days down to the fact the poker gods were shitting on me at every opportunity. I know I should update the bad and the good but just sometimes you don't want to talk about it.

I am not going to go on about bad beats and sob stories, but I will say this.....on one of my losing days, AA was my biggest losing hand by miles. When Lady Luck is doing that there is fuck all anyone can do about. I have moved back down to nl10, not to get my confidence back but to put some money in the bank. I don't like losing, not in my nature.

I did not find much difference in quality of players between 10 and 20, but obviously the money side of it is doubled. This I think caused me to play a little bad at first, but felt I had overcome this when suddenly I couldn't win a hand. My losses were getting ridiculous, loosing 100 euro in one day is not my idea of fun.

But just a little message to all the nl20 players out there, I WILL be back very soon to get my money I can promise you that!!

Sorry i have not updated for a while but have just been concentrating on my game a bit more and trying to turn around a disastrous month.

I only played a small session tonight which I am a bit gutted about but my internet connection kept dropping and was causing me to lag a bit and time out on a few hands that I should have won. This started to tilt me so ended my session short before I donked off my chips in frustraion. Its a shame as I wanted to put in a good few hours ready for LOCKDOWN tomorrow but that is one of the problems of using a dongle for internet!!

I got 3rd in last Sunday's 24hr LOCKDOWN so was happy with that, if I could have squeezed in another hour or so play I could have won it so thats a bummer but when you got a Mrs and 2 kids that want a roast dinner, well its got to be done hasn't it?? Yes I could have got Mrs.Sunny to do it but I wanted a roast not a BBQ which is what I get whenever she cooks! God I hope she doesnt read this!!

Managed to squeeze in a 1050 hands and ended up 43 space bucks in profit so not all bad, and I am slowly getting this month back on track. I felt I played pretty good for the amount of hands I got in and even had a few little battles with Abz. Felt bad for him on one had where he turned a flush but then I rivered quads, oops sorry mate!! I played a hand against a reg who gives me a bit of shit at the tables but I owned his arse with this one!!

Anyway I am finished for the day now got a few jobs to do in the morning but hope to start playing about 1pm and try and make up for the poor volume today.

Well I am going to keep this end of month update short and sweet.

Its been a bad month for me on and off the tables. I have had life distractions and a good old helping of variance to basically write off the month of January, not the start to 2014 I had hoped for!!

When I have had the chance I have been reading and working on a lot of mindset material to try and stay focused on the game, but the mind is a funny thing and mine has the the tendency to wander off for a random walk in the woods, which is not ideal when you are playing 6 tables of poker. A few sessions this month I have not been giving anywhere near the attention that is required to play the game, a few times I've drifted off, and when my brain kicks in again I seem to have lost a couple of stacks.

I think the answer for me at the moment is to play smaller sessions and take regular breaks when I can feel myself losing concentration, what do you think of that idea?

I think it will help but my volume will suffer, but I am a great believer in quality over quantity.

My aim for this month is to play for 3-4 hrs a day but try and split them into 1hr blocks as that seems to be my attention limit at the moment and see how that works for me. Any other suggestions would be cool, just need to keep my brain focused like a locust.

Feb will be a better month I am sure of it, cant be losing again its not good for me!! Only good thing about last month is that I have no make up with the VIP Team thank you rake back, but I CANNOT have another month like Jan or I will seriously think about hanging up my mouse and take up knitting, I hear its very therapeutic.

Good luck everybody this month, keep on keeping on!!
