I have decided to take a break from poker as I have a few issues off the table that is effecting my game when I play. Its funny how the mind works, I sit down eager to play, feeling focused and fresh, but the mind starts to drift off to other places and I end up being the fish/donk at the table who is giving people belated Xmas presents in the form of free money.

I am not entirely focused on the game at the moment and this is proving to be costly. So I have decided to walk away and sort my head out. I will not completely turn my back on this beautiful game, I will continue to watch videos, read articles, study and maybe play a few freerolls just to keep the poker side of my brain ticking over, and of course I will still be floating around the forum watching your progress and screaming the occasional LOCKDOWNNN as and when is necessary.

I would just like to wish you all the best of luck at the tables.

Hey man, that's the best thing you can do, take a break as long as your mind is not set for the games.
The game will always be there, the fish will be waiting to get stacked.

Hello again, the prodigal son returns!!

I did think about starting a new journey but to be honest I couldn't be doing with writing another boring intro about myself, so if you want to know more about me read this thread from the start or just ask me!!

I have not really played too much recently apart from a little jaunt on the new Unibet site, which I found quite fun, so many bad players or gamblers, Im not sure which, but turned a free 10 buck ticket into a nice 50 cashout so cant be all bad!

I have been re-reading a lot of my old poker books and going old school reading SuperSystem2 and other old classics, just to bring things back to basics, no fancy play syndrome!!

Two of the books I read were Zen and the art of Poker and The Tao of Poker. None of these are strategy books, more to do with your thinking about the game and life. There both broken down into bite-size sections/rules so are very easy to read, I would recommend these books to anyone who wants something different from the normal poker strategy stuff.

One thing I do regret is selling my "40 flat screen that I used to play poker on so Im playing on laptop screen which is shite so if anyone wants to donate to me a monitor to play on feel free!!

First day back, didn't play massive amount as only playing 2 tables but booked a small win of nearly 2bins over 800 hands. Its a bit of shame would liked to have played longer but tables started to die about midnight, is this happening alot now does anyone know? Bit gutted if it is, I like a late night grind lol!!

24 inch or 23.8 on some. I can have 6 no overlap with hud displayed, 8 too but with some overlap.

Thanks its killing me just playing on laptop, 4hrs to play 800 hands is not what I am used to, so I need to get a monitor ASAP.

Another day where I am just short of 2 bins but a win is a win none the less!!

Thought I would throw a quick graph in there since I rejoined the VIP team, volume not great but as soon as I get extra screen I will smash it!!

Just finished an all night session which was pretty poor overall. Got over 2.5k hands in but finished 3bi down which is pretty pants. Very swingy, up n down more times that a cheap hooker but that is poker.

Not too upset with the way I played, few missteps and a few coolers, lost AA 3 times, and run KK into AA and QQ into KK too, not really worried just waiting for sweep so I can get back on it!!

In the mean time cant wait for this movie to come out, Im a Marvel fanboy!!

How have you been finding being back Sunny?

I got classes Crazy that don't help too much I can play 4 tables for a short period of time but after that I get headache and sore eyes.

I haven't played a great deal this weekend as I had to sort out sending my daughter to Euro Disney and do some digging in the garden for my old dear. It was my daughters birthday so on Tuesday decided to get her 2 hamsters. By Wednesday morning we only had one the other had escaped! Obviously my little girl was upset but told her we would find it well that wasn't as easy as I thought. Hamster no where to be seen! Anyway 7pm last night just as I'm about have a game of cards my Lil girl screams at me dad there it is! So for the next 4hrs I am trashing my flat chasing a hamster. 11.45 boom in caught the little bastard, so when my daughter got up this morning I was the coolest dad ever as I had got her to Disney and manage to catch the elusive hamster!

So I am sorry it has been a very unproductive weekend poker wise but the smile on her face is better than winning the WSOP just not quite as profitable!

Hope to get on this evening and smash it!

Have decide to call it a night as BetVictor is being an arse!! Logged me out around 11.30pm and would not let me get back on so I am having to finish the day on a loss of around 1.5bins. If Im up later I might try again going to have a smoke and a brandy and watch Captain America as I want to go cinema and see the new one next week.
