update to my status:

1st of all I am sorry that the last couple of threads are huge whinefests. But writing about my frustration helps a lot. and after 1 or 2 hours I really want back at the tables. This is a very good sign. Yes I get frustrated, but I do not punt away my money.

if anyone is interested I followed the advice from @AshVIP and posted my statshere

I hope @w34z3l looks at it but I would be very happy if anyone of you takes a look at it as well!

Regarding the video I already mentioned that for december i will stay at betfair. beginning of jan. I will start on a new site... probably pokerstarts so I can make a video of my game.

so... I can play poker...

evening session

red stable, blue nice up.

finally i got into some good spots. JJ held against AK (questionable play from my side, as i tried to 5bet semibluff an overly active villain... and after his shove I got something like 4.5 to 1 so i finally had to call) I also had AA vs. AK.

I forced myself to battle for pots and bet after every skipped cbet. I double barreled some hands and cbet most.

I will not lose my head and keep fighting. I can manage this.

Just a minor point, I made my review video on Betfair so it will work if you want to try it. I used Flashback Express Recorder and it worked fine.

P.S. the games are insane today and it's not even Saturday yet! (cash)(cash)(cash) if you can handle the limpfest. Clap

I post this image because I feel that seeing my good sessions it gives me some positive feedback for my mental stability. I know that I can beat the game. This one is particularly important because after about 200 hands I really questioned myself why I am doing this stuff. I really put alot time and effort into my game and instead of winning big I lose this pots. It is not easy to crush the game when you lose tooo many of your big pots. But i did not... i did not get frustrated, i did not tilt... I applied some techniques from my mental training videos and stayed on track.

Of course I'd rather have a +6BI session instead a +2,5BI but on the long run this might be more helpful to my poker carrer. Yes I will lose those pots... But i will also win those pots. After an infinit amout of hands I will be exactly where my EV is. so no worries.

Agression was good, value was good... of course there is lots of space for improvement but in general i am quite content with my play.

I will start to use the HH review section heavily in the next couple of days. I really like your feedback and learn alot there. I will also include some of my bluffs and ask for your advice.

Can you post some your preflop defense ranges IP vs an open raise. So like MPvUT COvUT BUvUT COvMP BUvMP BUvCO. Just something I saw in your stats. Also interested in some of your defense vs 3b but that can wait.

Maybe not all of them but I kind of feeling like you are cold calling to much and not 3 betting enough when you are IP

@fawltyfelix

thanks so much for looking over my stats

I worked over my ranges massivly one week ago for exactly the reasons you memtioned. I was calling to much and 3betting waaaay to little. and i was calling to much 3bets oop.

you find my ranges in the following pics. SB has nearly no calling ranges any more and BB calls a lot but also 3bets way more. For UTG to B I did negate the position and focused mor on the open% of Villain. I try to adjust these ranges according to position and 3betting tendencies of the positions after me

vs 12%

vs 18%

vs 30%

vs 44%

defending vs. 3bet changes dramatically depending on my position(IP or OOP) and to 3betting tendencies of villain (linear or polar) for smaller 3bet percentages I think they are more weighted towards linear 3betting strategies. Do you need those as well?

evening session

1 hours, 370 hands and +50bb/100

funny thing is that I did not really want to play... I stopped after an hour because my head did not feel ready.

I will do a little break and then get pumped for my next session... today i am fully motivated and hope for good results!

When I find myself 2,5 buy ins down after 100 hands -- after TEN minutes -- I had a hard time focussing. But today I managed to keep my head up high and played rather strong poker.

I will mark all those first 120 hands and have to analyze them. I said to myself "now I am punting my stack away". I check raised on the turn with a FD and got reraised. The price was too good so I called. I think this play was questionable at best and only justifyable with the NFD.

after this initial crisis I really really played well. some hands where I need help, but you guys will help me as always.

I stayed away for some days... I wanted to find some motivation for poker as it was not fun but hard work lately... today I sat at my computer and suddenly the program was open, so i played.

of course I still am the stupid payout wizzard that I always was... maybe I should cash out and focus on other topics in my life... this way this makes no sense for me

after my devastating session yesterday I made a nice comeback today

I have a hard time playing poker at the moment because I cannot really focus on it. Some other topics need more attention at the moment. Thats the reason why I was so down yesterday. Sorry for the constant whining

Today I did not really do anything different. But finally I got into loads of good spots AND got paid. I actually have no idea why my red is sooo good.

Hey everybody, I hope you hade some nice christmasdays with your family

For some personal reasons I did not play poker much this month. But today I made a nice comeback

1 hour, 532 hands and +29,42bb/100

it was a pretty average session. some fish paid me nicely, some got there in the most peculiar way. Slowly I find my passion for poker again and I will make 2018 my poker year.

I took some inspiration from @cutalegoff and applied for some CFP programms. As i played nearly 20k hands per month on average in 2017 and was a winning microstakes player nearly from the start I hope I will be accepted. If someone has some tips for me regarding good cfp programms I would be very grateful!

night session
100 min, 745 hands -24,5bb/100

so every € i won yesterday gone...
I think i played quite well...but today luck was not on my side... I got it in good but lost too much... additionally some groce spots and the desaster is perfect.

I feel the pain, had a few days in a row like that myself lately. It takes a lot more effort to get it back than to lose it that's for certain! Doh!

Hope you had a nice holidays and you smash 2018! Handshake

And I end this year with another disgusting session

today i made my mistakes... and I am not happy about them. Cardwise... what a catastrophy...

I also played some twisters (my last free tickets) and omg I ran bad... I made some bucks but wow they sucked out on me...

Review of 2017

I started exactly one year ago with poker. I invested 20€ into my bwin account and started playing. In the end of the year my br is at 400€. When I joined PokerVIP in August my br was a bit over 100€.

Over the whole year I played about 220k Hands of NL4 and NL2 and had a winrate of about 2bb/100 I know i complain alot about my luck but my all in EV shows that i should be 40€ stronger... which is comforting on the one hand because it shows me that I play decent poker but frustrating on the other hand because I really would like to win some money.

for the last 1.5 months I feel stuck. I realised that I cannot climb the ladder up without some coaching so I applied to some cfp programms. I hope they can help me realize my goal to become a decent poker semi pro.

On the long run I want to make about 1.5k € per month. I know that this is a very high goal coming from somebody that cant even crush the micros but thats where I want to go.
I want to get there by playing cash games only. I find all the other formats way too luck-dependent.

Goals for 2018:
move up to NL25
stable winrate an NL25
30K hands per month
find a good CFP program

Happy new Year to everyone!!

today I opened an account on party poker. My BR is at 300 and i decided I want to play NL10. As the PP poker missions required me to play some fastforward I also fired up a NL5ff table.

results: 0 Smile after 100 min and 472 hands

I lost a stack at NL10. Actually nothing happened. I played VERY concentrated, did not goof around but lost several medium pots. NL5ff went perfectly. I made a stupid ass call and stacked off with QQ but fought back and endet the session only very slightly negativ.

Key findings of today:
I have absolutly no problem with the bigger amounts at NL10.
Altough I had a very nice ff session, i like regular tables better.
PP on regular tables does not allow tracking of playerstats. So villain are going to be half-unknown from now on
