Night session

1 hour, 761 hands and -4bb/100

After studytime I tried to apply what i have learned. I played quite good, had some luck with am AK vs QQ situation where i hit my K. additionally I played agressively which also gives me a good feeling.

last 2 hands caused the slight negative results.

maybe i should send my girl to Edinburgh more often

99 minutes, 1059 hands and +20bb/100

again after about half the session my red drop drasticly downwards (200 bb within 500 hands) I was agressive at the start but then again i could not keep up my agression. I really have to work on that.

Preflop game gets better. I really focus hard on this topic right now.

I might try and check out the OPL... hope I have some luck there as well

good luck friends

did not update my blog for various reasons...

last 3 sessions were nice too.

so since the 28th of feb. my I played

1057 hands NL10c.... +38bb/100
6319 hands NL5ff .....+ 8bb/100

i am gettin close to break even again

whats really interesting: the characteristics of my graph changed... NL5 i was very agressive and kept a stable red and a decent blue. now red plummets down and blue goes nicely up.
NL10 was the completly opposite... red abyssmal blue nice... now they swithed...

I think preflop I should 3/4bet way more. thats something i want to focus on. I got my c-betting up so at least on the flop I improved

Afternoonsession

2,5 hours 1637 hands and +13.22 bb/100

positive thing about this session: although I was down 1 bi at several points I have the confidence to know that I beat these playerpools and will be profitable.

Of course it is nice to be on a heater. Especially after 1 month of pure devestation.

I think study pays off slowly. I am not folding everything and sometimes I have the best hand. I try to apply the concept of blockers to my bluffing attempts and incorporate the 70% rule into my play. I do not do this blindly but it is in the back of my mind.

Additionally the content from "bluff the spot" hepls a lot.

I will throw in a nice session in the evening!

I wish you all good luck at the tables!

The heater continues

45 minutes, 421 hands and +64,7bb/100

This way I really could think of making a living of poker.... You guys helpint me through downswings and then enjoying the upswings together Smile

I made 80 bucks in the last 10 days and I am overall positive again!!!

I will play NL5ff until i am back in the green (6bi) there as well - i am crushing the NL10casual tables - and then I will start taking shots at NL10ff.

Thanks guys for your support and good luck at the tables!

Awesome stuff!! Always nice to see positive posts balancing against the negatives ones! This thread really does sum up poker as whole! Good to see a positive mindset that comes through in your writing as well, and with BTS on side as well, I do think you can start and then continue to crush!

Evening session

played for an hour, bit more than 500 hands and +-0

on the casual tables I crush fish its really really nice

on the fast forward tables I lost everything ... a row of bad beats and i think 1 good bluff and 1 bad bluff and all was gone...

lets see what the night session brings

night session did not go very well

1 hour, 662 hands and -50 bb/100

actually I won 2 important pots against a punting fish at NL10 today.... every other hand above 50bb at the showdown I lost.

I really really struggle at NL5zoom at the moment... I do not like this...

anyway... i am smarter than those guys and will be a winning player

good luck to you all at the tables

disgusting session.... right when I really started to believe that I get a grasp of this thing I fuck up

Welcome to the money burning train

i did some study and was very very motivated again.

i play decent poker so there should be nothing to worry about

well that was a misinterpretation

i quit after 23 minutes... 225 handa and again -50 bb/100

Posted 6 years ago
I personally think you are misinterpreting your results too early in your session. As you have heard before 225 hands is nothing. It is not even a blip on a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of things. -50bb/100 is 1 buy in in 225 hands. You know how many times at 5nl and 10nl I started of the 1st 200 or so hands with those same kind of results, or worse. Then I pressed on and play 1K or 1500 hands and by the time it was over I was either even or in a lot of cases up a buy in or 2. You played for 23 minutes had some coolers or tough spots and just quit.

LIke if your strategy is decent and you are getting coaching than the results shouldn't even matter. You should play the game they are teaching you, find the spots where you are unsure of what to do, work on those spots and rinse and repeat and not even care what the results are, because they don't matter and they will take care of themselves over time.

Apologies if this sounds harsh but I had to hear these words a little over a year ago from my coach. I felt like you. I had to learn to have faith in my coach since I had very little faith in my own game. If you think the guys at BTS are winning players and know what they are doing, then just keep believing in them and the game they are teaching you and just keep doing what they say until you are confident in your game to a point where 3 to 5 buy in losses, in a day, won't even phase, cuz they will happen

@fawltyfelix you are 100% right.

I could make a little break, breath and go on... - actually thats what I did. One mechanism for my mental health is to write in this blog about every session I play. sometimes I do not feel good and quit a session wayyyy to early. I complain about coolers and stupid fish and move on.
I hope I do not bore you guys but I really need this complaining. Of course I am always thankfull for any feedback you guys give me, and no worries I do not think this was too harsh Smile

again I did some study in between and some mental training in order to be able to play a night session.

Night session was nice indeed.

2,5 hours, 1544 hands and +23,7 bb /100

I think this was one of the better sessions I ever played. Agressiv but not punting, disciplined but not nitty.

Good luck at the tables my friends!!!

my oh my

1,5 hours 828 hands and -30bb

again a very painful session. I had to work for all my pots soooo hard... only to get crushed when I think i have it. running bad sux...

Posted 6 years ago
short update... i decidet to punt 2 more stacks away
Posted 6 years ago
I am sooo motivated to play poker atm Smile

had a very long session --> 2,5 hours, 1559 hands +2€
NL10 casual +45bb/100
NL5ff -10 bb/100

some disgusting spots, but over all OK I guess..

good is that i really stayed calm today and came back from 3bi down.

what really troublese me is that I cannot achieve a positive winrate at NL5ff... I run -3,5bb after 40k hands and my graph is slowly bud steadyly downwardssloping. During my upswing I thought that I get better, but this week war really bad. I lost 7 or 8 bi and I am back at the lowpoint.

I have to work on my game and i will succeed!!

good luck you all!

afternoon session

as always NL10 safed my ass and i am positive

at NL5 I simply do not get payed when I have it or someone rivers me...

Are you playing the two different games on the same site?

IMO fast forward is more of a punty game, I prefer regular games myself
Posted 6 years ago
Yes both on partypoker.... I started to like zoom... But I obviously suck at it 😢
