PokerVIP - Swimming with fish

Hello everyone,

I've been a member of PokerVIP for quite a while now, but never really posted anything, I was just watching videos, reading articles and forums and it really helped me improve my game.

My name is Filip, I live in Croatia, I'm 18 years old and just finished high school. I've been playing poker for almost a year now, mainly 6-max NLHE microlimits
At the moment I'm playing on 888poker and I really like it there, so many bad players!! That's also the reason of my thread name

So when I first started playing, I was playing on iPoker network because of the RB, I played Nl5 speed and just putting in the volume... But then in february I think, I faced a massive 20BI downswing and with the rake structure change I decided to cashout and move somewhere else... Also I started to work on my game a lot because there is no point grinding Nl5.

So I tried 888poker, LOL tables were so soft, I played only regular games and moved up from Nl2 to Nl10 in 2 months. Last month I was mixing Nl10 and Nl20 regular tables and started shooting Nl30, but I noticed that my volume was pretty low so this month I tried with NL10 snap ( their speed format ) and its great so far, yesterday I had my first NL30 snap shot ( went ok I guess, breakeven, not much difference ).

Anyway, thats my short poker story, time for some graphs!
So this is my all time graph, somewhere around 250k hands I moved to 888... you can see the difference.

Sicko mate, nice to see you post on the site especially with them graphs. Winning 10BB/100 on any site at any stakes is impressive.

I played around 50k on 888 and I thought it was so soft, I think it's because of their massive TV advertising budget which you see late at night so it's seen as a huge name in poker. Software isn't too bad either.

I'm assuming you have taken a lot of money out of the poker account because you winning 1k euro would probably roll you for NL50 on as it's a dollar site isn't it?

Anyway nice to see your post and keep the updates coming, GL!

Why did you change sites then?
When I cashed out my roll from betfair I only deposited 100$ to 888 to see how it goes, but didn't make any deposits since then. As I'm playing speed format I like to have a bit more buyins because of variance there. Right now I'm shooting NL30, hope it goes well!

I changed from 888 because I wanted a site with more RB as I prefer to mass table, so volume is what I like really. It's nice that 888 have NL30 because some sites you have to jump from NL25 to 50 and that can be super swingy, having NL30 there makes it so much nicer. GL at NL30, I expect big things!

What RB do you end up earning on 888? I thought it was low but your graph rb looks decent!

Also does your hem2 hud work on snap? My pt4 doesn't

How is it within a year of playing the game you are already so good? Where/what have you been learning and what top 5 skill sets do you think you have to be crushing this hard?

Really excited to follow this journey as i think it is going to end up with you crushing the midstakes in no time!

@SamWalker Yeah NL30 is nice, but sadly on snap tables they don't have anything between NL10 and 30 so it can be tougher to move up there.

@BarraBod Not sure about mac, but either way you can't use hud on snap tables.

@5amue1 That RB is from iPoker, I get something like 4% rb here

They don't allow any deals on 888, just their VIP system which is not so great, max rb you can get is 20-something% but I think you would have to play NL50-100 to get it. 888 doesn't support HUD on snap tables.

@Jon-PokerVIP I think I'm not that good tbh, my game didn't change much since I moved to 888, I think it's because of very soft player pool here. I'll post some hands later

I watched a lot of videos here, really like those player reviews! Maybe I could send one to see where can I improve? Also those strategy articles from w34z3l are great!
5 skill sets... hmmm... not sure really, just play ABC and put in a lot of volume!

How long into your 1 year of playing did it take you to start winning?

I wouldn't worry about the RB if you continue to win at 10BB/100 ahha!

I didn't know 888 had their own speed variant but I find the pool for them to be so much weaker than reg tables.

@Jon-PokerVIP I spent my last summer learning NLHE, reading a lot of articles and watching a few videos, maybe 1 month later I deposited 50€ and built it up from there

@SamWalker Yeah the pool overall is pretty weak imo, but it seems like NL30 is a bit more reggy

Great start into the month but I'm just breaking even last 20k hands... Will have to review some hands, I doubt it's just variance altough I'm running into such sick spots lately.

That big jump at ~32k hands was my NL30 shot. Played 4k hands, was pretty lucky to win some flips but EV wise I was losing a bit so decided to stick to NL10 for a while.
Anyway 30k hands from this graph is NL10 snap and I still have 10bb/100 there, but not too happy because it's just moving down.

Don;t worry about the 20k breakeven stretch as looking at your graph you will power out of that with an upswing no doubt! Also these things do happen from time to time. Like you say just review your game and figure out if there is anything you could have done better...if so then make it happen!

10bb/100 still a really good winrate for snap poker. Good luck on your journey!

Funny thing is that my winrate is bigger on snap tables compared to regular ones, I also spoke to another reg and he also have a better winrate at snap. It looks like snap is softer that normal tables!

Hi everyone, it's been a while.
So back in july/august I was stuck in a 80k hands breakeven stretch on 888 and didn't really have much motivation for playing.
Tried a lot of different sites, didn't like them too much, didn't play too much.
Withdrew almost my whole bankroll for some other stuff, but a few days ago I deposited 35€ on unibet just to try it out a bit, and I really like it

Hopefully I'll continue to post here but I won't post any graphs because you can't track hands at unibet.

Anyway, I'm playing NL4, BR currently at 110€, after ~7k hands I'm running at something like 25bb/100

Will move to NL10 asap.
Does anyone here know a way of posting hands from unibet apart from screenshoting them?
