Great to see the part2 up! i love how much u say my name haha

About the hands.

AT: villain only had 14bbs left and was opening 40% of his range so this was pure value as he is going to be calling with so much worse. the player behind just cold called and had 27bbs. but i just wanted to be headsup vs the fish and take his money.

59s: was def not an open because the BTN was a big fish with a low fold to Cbet. if the fish was on the sb and there was an nit on the BTN than a raise would be fine because i would be 3 way with 2 fishes. but in this case it was an mistake.

QQ: I had the same reasoning as u have but I think when u 4bets and is already willing to go allin vs the fish on his left he Always has a pure valuehand QQ+ and must cases just AA KK. i should have folded this hand pre especially when u watch how the hand played itself. and not looking on villain stats. i would like to hear what everyone else has to say about it!

QQ i would fold in that spot, cause when he 4bets in 2 oponents, he is never folding and in best case we are flipping against AK, but i think AK he would just ship in pre. His 4bet seems more like a big value hand here and he want to get more money before the flop and not to scare off fish. I would just cry and fold QQ here! Smile

Part 3:

Thanks for part3! about the bet sizing i 3x it UTG because i have a stronger range i can make the pot bigger postflop. from the other positions i want to keep the pot a bit smaller in genaraly so i 2,5x it but if there is an limper or a fish in the blinds that calls a lot i adjust my sizing alot of times Smile

Ok, at the moment im in a very big downswing like -15bi (50nl) in 1 week basically never winning a pot over 100bbs anymore and losing every allin situation. every time i get raised on the flop im up against an set or better well you know how it goes. The variance kinda got the best of me and i made some mistakes i normally dont make, and try to reraise on good flops but never get away with it anymore. im tryin to rebuild at 20nl now. Going to focus on my play even more. cant do anything than play solid and dont let my emotions get the best of me. im down 500 for the month and with 1 week to go in september i hope i can atleast breakeven Smile

No worries bro, just keep playing your A game and never ever forget about improving it. Luck is a bitch that we need to fuck with no mercy.

It always turns around man Smile just work on your game even harder and put hands in Smile
Posted 10 years ago
ofcourse it will turn around im very confident about that. But it takes a little too long now Laugh
Ive set some goals for this week. starting tomorrow i will play 20nl and play 15k hands and try to be winning 3bb/100. During the times im not at the tables im reading the book "The mental game of Poker" because the variance surely affected my play and this could be a great help for me. thnx "scooper" of reminding me to read this Cheeky

Great vid. i kinda screwed up with the KK hand i know missed alot of value there I like your thought of betting small to induce and even if i bet small i leave him with an halfpot bet on the turn so that shuild have really been my play here. for the rest of the vid i think its pretty standard dont have anything too add! But thanks alot!

Too bad i had a terrible week in the middle of september where i lost 7 days in a row! that kinda f*ck*d up my total graph but im sure i can handle the variance alot better now.

Allright October..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
I felt ready for 50nl! I only had to win a few more buyins before i could move up! But than all the sick stuff happened, i dropped, yes i dropped 19 BUYINS in 4 days!
it was a very disgusting feeling but where I normally give up, this time I just kept playing to ride out the variance! and eventually I almost made this an breakeven week!

Graph 1-6 October

Goals for this week is to win over 5bb/100 with the same volume as last week!

Hey guys! I decided to continue with my poker Journey. I see it has been 1,5 Years already since my last post but here it goes!

The last time I seriously grinded online has been 1 year ago, The reason that i stopped playing online is because there is an huge fishy homegame in my hometown I was sure to beat for an high winrate. So id just grinded those 3-4 times a week.
But... looking back at this period it didnt really give me the joy and expected winrate(up 2k after expenses)

So I have come to a point to decide: try to improve my live game or go focus on online poker and drop live completely.
The fact that im going to live with my girlfriend next month and not having to hear the same old Online poker is rigged debate over and over again made me choose Online poker :).

As for now i have set myself a goal.
I have started at the lowest buyin i have ever played in my life 0,02/0,04.
And move up in every stake as soon as i hit the 20bi mark. When i go as low as 15 bi for the current stake i will move down Smile

My goal/challenge started on 23 April 2015 and i will keep the tread updated with stats and graphs for my own motivation, If you want to comment you are more than welcome.

Tonight i will play my 4th session on 4NL trying to hit the 20BI requirement for me to move up to 10NL

My BR is now at 206 EU so i can move up!

Will start my next session at 10NL after A Session of Game of Thrones =)

Great to have you back bro.

Clarence was a dope player when he played for us staked back in the day and it was a pleasure working with him for so long. Shame he ended up leaving and then also left the forum. Awesome you have come home tho and it looks like you are still crushing.

Surprised you are not just playing 50nl - truly believe you can beat this game as of now. I know you said you wanted to start at the bottom but is there any solid reason for this?

Thanks for Welcoming me back Jon, was a pleasure working with you in the past!

The reason from starting at the bottom is because Im going to live together with my girl and the expenses were huge so had to use my Whole poker roll.

Also i have not played for 1 year online so its a good method for me to get my head back in the game and adjust to all different kinds of players through the stakes im going to play.

But im confident it wont take to long till im back on my regular level of play!

Yesterdays session went great on 10nl aswel!

Hey Gintoki! Really nice journey. It's important to find a good balance between playing lower limits to get back in the game and not losing value because you cam beat higher stakes. Though given the fact that you had year long break I find your approach very reasonable.

If you feel a bit rusty when it comes to the mental game of poker consider posting in Mindset Leaks thread.
