The good news: We won a ticket to the milly tomorrow for just $10 so we're not going to have to risk al last half our bankroll on one MTT.

The bad news: If we bust early we're probably still going to risk almost half our bankroll on a second bullet.

Once a degen always a degen Laugh Good luck sir. I hope that your first bullet will prove sufficient.

Going OK in the milly with 16k at T500,there was a guy I was needling at the table non stop that 3x'd my BB from the BTN that I felt was out to get me.....due to me being a prick of course, so I ripped AK and he snap called with A9s. Flop of 499 and RIP the dream.

Not BR challenge related but I had a $12 ticket on 888 to use so I decided to jump in and chill with a single tournament while watching some Twitch. Took it down for $678.99 Smile

Donkaments are the worst but winning them feels the best. Oh, tournament poker, why do you hurt so good? Laugh

Decided I'm going to include the tournament bink in the BR challenge as there is no reason not to since I was not playing outside of my limits for current BR or anything. So we've cleared $1k with a decent bit of interest now. With my new found wealth I decided to play some SNAP poker on 888. I got off to a bad start at 30NL and dropped ~$80, I felt the pool overall was very weak though. So I did what any self respecting player would, I moved up to 50NL and added in an extra table. I got back to even from this, although it included one particularly hilarious hand in order to do so.....

So it turns out there is a bit of an issue with 888 software where if villain bets 100bb in a small pot it really looks like they are actually min betting......Villain had AK and I had a chuckle.

How many people did you screen the final table lobby to when you won? That's like the first thing I do when I win a donk-a-ment.

Twitter/Discord was spammed with it. So pretty much anyone that would listen Laugh

My exams are finished up this week so I'm going to have tons more time to get back on the grind. Super pumped to get back into streaming/winning at the tables! I can't recall the exact BR so I'll need to check it later but including the tournament bink we're somewhere in the region of $1k from the original $20.

I've also decided to offer a freeroll to my loyal viewers. Work installed a new "wellbeing machine" where you can weigh yourself, take blood pressure, get BMI/Fat mass etc. I'm currently rocking the scales at a flabtastic 90.3kg. To put this in perspective, When I was 18 I was in incredible shape and weighed about 55kg. So yeh, going to need to sort this out.

I've got a baby on the way due in October so I'm setting a goal of reducing the blubber factor and getting to under 80kg prior to the new arrival. For every kg I am over I'll donate $15 to a random stream viewer. If the challenge goes well I may end up reducing this goal further, but I definitely will not be increasing it!

Wish me luck!

Best of luck to you and props for going for it. About this time last year I was over 230lbs, which if my math is right is about 105kg. In the last year I have lost about 45ish pounds and feeling great. I am almost 6ft tall though so I am pretty much at my goal weight if I lose much more I would look sickly I think.

Can't imagine being 55kg, that seems super thin. Its well worth it though, especially with a little one on the way, so I hope you succeed and with your work ethic I am sure you will.

@fergrberger GJ! lovely journey!

I like your aggressive BRM strategy. Are you going to mix 10z and 25z tables or just play 25z?
Posted 6 years ago
I'm going to be playing 25NL reg tables for the next while as my winrate there is substantially higher than in the zoom pool so despite the reduced volume my hourly will be better.

I'll still mix in some zoom from time to time but the bulk of my play will be the reg tables!

After a relatively bad downswing over the past month or so we're now well back on track. I took the BR from 888 and combined it onto stars, minus 200 that we had in the account before the BR challenge started since that would have been cheating. We had dipped down to around $900 and have brought that back to >$1000 with a couple of short 25NL sessions. I made a return to the mean streets of Twitch tonight also which was fun!

Current BR - $1035.24

I always thought the speed/zoom games were low hanging fruit for people with smaller attention spans, you get more hands yes but there's so little action. my winrate for standard tables was already around 3-4bb/100 higher than zoom.

I'm of the belief that the pools of each game type are of a very similar standard but that the zoom format automatically makes the worse players better as they are less inclined to play bad/marginal hands when they can fold and get a new one immediately, compared to a reg table where they don't want to wait for the next hand so decide to limo their K3s or whatever UTG. But playing against he exact same players in the opposite format would lead to similar results if that makes sense.

I get the whole zoom thing. But from my own experience; playing on regular tables is just so much easier to make a good win-rate on. You can see who the fun players are. Know how to handle them and they are so much more spewy. It's easier to know when they are bluffing as you get to see them hand for hand. On top of that, I just personally find them more fun.

Has a fun drinking stream last night where I ended up dropping some cash, started off the session down 60, went to +60 in a short space of time, then finished up down around $45ish!

I finished up the stream and decided to play the $11 L-SCOOP as it it was far enough into late reg that I figured it would be a good way to get to jam all in a few times while I finished my last beer.....5 hours later I was absolutely hammered drunk after moving onto whiskey and I ended day 1 with a 240k stack going after level T2400. Day 2 isn't until next Sunday though, hopefully I can make a deep run in it!

(If you click the X on the ad that appears over the chat box you can see what villain called down with, you won't be disappointed.)

As seen from the above, villain was absolutely awful and incredibly wild, the above hand then lead to this happening as the last hand of the day.
