We're hitting our first proper downswing of the challenge which is frustrating, I played a bit off stream the other night and dropped around $40, then we had a disaster of a session on stream today where we lost another $50, a big chunk of which of which came right at the death where we ran a set into a set for a 300bb+bb pot and then QQ into KK for 100bb AIPF straight after. We won an epic $5 on the deal last night and we've cashed in $30 of rakeback that we've accrued throughout the challenge to finish up the day on:

Current BR - $296.05

I haven't been playing much at all recently except for occasional short sessions off stream due to time constraints. Played a little bit today and things went....well Smile

So far all volume has remained at 10NL but will be moving up to 25NL for the next stream.

No money in poker, everyone is solid! Good job sir.

I have been exceptionally lazy this month about streaming so not too much progress in the BR challenge. We have chipped up a bit though and are now sitting pretty at over $500, I've some decisions to make now about where I want to go from here, I've been playing in the zoom pool with no delay on my stream which has been SUPER fun.

If I play 25NL+ I am planning on moving over to reg tables as my winrate there is far higher so it makes more sense, but that would mean I would have to include a delay. Viewers love the no delay as it makes it so much easier to interact, and I love the no delay for the same reason. With the exception of one incident (that I know have) stream sniping has not been an issue at all and I've been smashing it with a winrate of ~12bb/100 in the 10NL pool. Thoughts on what do to?!

I guess I could always just stick to 10NL and win another 150 buyins there Wink

150 buy ins sounds so baller!

No update in a little while, I've been pretty damn busy with some real life stuff so poker has taken a bit of a back burner. I've hit a bit of a downswing as of late which is never fun and the roll had dropped down to the low $400's, however yesterday I sorted that out with a stellar day where I took in about $85 at 10NL over the course of a couple of hours. We're back around $500 now and planning on putting in some hours live on stream this Friday during Paddies day.

Drinkies stream I assume?

That's the plan anyway, I'm getting a tooth pulled on Thursday though so depending on that I may need to be a good boy. We shall see though!

Ah crap, wish I wasn't working on Friday night now. Would defo be joining you!
Posted 7 years ago
Haha, yeeeeeeh......Friday....."night". I definitely won't start drinking/streaming from 9am in honour of our patron Saint Paddy. No sir.......

Ah ok well I can still join you then, maybe not in the drinks department though hah.

The downswing seems to be well and truly over, I've run the roll back up to almost $500, I've got a little over $30 in rakeback due so including that we're at about $520 and I've got a $27 satty ticket to the Sunday milly this weekend banked as well. We're going to be firing in the milly regardless of whether we win the satellite, so if that goes South we'll drop a substantial part of the roll......but yeh, we could also go from $500 to >$1,000,000 in one night right?!

Sneaky little bit of graph porn from last nights short session, one of the prettier graphs I've ever gotten to post.

And a few fun exploitative hands:

Huge fan of the second hand. Exploitative as hell given the holding, but click-it-back feels so damn good when it works!

Looks like a 'U Gotzt Owned' session to me. Bowing

Dropped a little bit of money playing donkaments yesterday but then put in a reasonably lengthy cash session where I racked up another $50+ over around 2.5/3k hands. Got pretty unlucky in some spots then VERY lucky in others to balance things out EV to actual profit.

Some graph porn:

WTF was going through your mind in this hand: http://www.handconverter.com/hands/3044305

Nerdy

From a tiny sample villain seemed like a bit of a loon, and all of his three bets were frmo the blinds vs BTN so I didn't want to fold to hmi but calling didn't seem like a particularly good option either. I felt the four bet would get through very often as it puts him in a gross spot with tons of his range here and we can get him to fold a lot of hands that are currently ahead of us. Flop is a mandatory bet here with a gutshot IMO, if we check back we will get get bet into ton on the turn. Villains lead then seemed very weak to me, I don't think he's doing this to induce very often as we've shown so much strength that if had a flopped set I think he would just check to us again. We still have a gutshot, plus a lot of fold equity when we jam.

That takes some serious balls! BTW remember you can embed hh and replayers using WeakTight here

Another shortish but profitable session! So satisfying to see a nice little upswing after a long break even patch. Total graph for the challenge so far (10NL only hands included)

I have to make a decision about whether I want to cash in my rakeback or save it up and buy an iPhone6 with it. It would be a cool goal to achieve so I'm considering doing that but we shall see!
