Pretty cool week so far in office. Made some EV money yesterday + played a donkament (lost 7 spots from itm), and today I decided to add more tables to put me more on auto pilot so I don't go too aggressive - I tried it out with just NL50 and it looks good so far. Gonna limit my battling vs regs HU a little bit too - will sit out 1/2 time. Also, had my first lesson with a student today - pretty motivated kid in the beginning of his poker journey. BR 4245$.

I think I'll keep playing that 2pm 31.5$ bounty donkament, it looked pretty soft and it was kinda fun.

What happened? Are you done with the challenge? If so, what's next for you?

Hopefully, he just had a mega tilting session and normal service will resume shortly...

I quit the challenge, I'm pretty sure that NL50-100 games aren't beatable anymore with that uber high rake and all the Euros/East Block, and I was missing A LOT on RB evey day while saving were coming to an end. I still made a decent profit after all.

I've cashed out my roll and I'm looking to get into MPN with good RB (and low rake) and shift towards PLO. I'll still grind NL games to take advantage of deposit bonus, but yeah, I'll be full time PLO player in few months.

I'm not gonna update this thread anymore, maybe like 1x/month or so, but that's about it.

Nice work on what you managed to achieve bud!

PLO sounds like a lot of fun and MPN might be worth looking at (GUTS) as they have super low rake and the best rewards out there.

@MilfGrinder This sounds very reasonable. I honestly can't tell if your assertion about gg network games is true or not (not enough info), but there's no point in grinding the challenge if it is (avoiding the sunken cost fallacy). PLO looks like a good move and I'm sure you're going to crush it. Maybe you could create another journey thread documenting your process of becoming a PLO crusher? Lots of potential value for the community and obviously good value for you (motivation, advice etc.). What do you think?

In for PLO journey thread, would be cool as I know jack all about PLO and would be fun to rail (ninja).

After seeing Doug Polk's last stream, PLO seems very inviting haha.

@MilfGrinder Any updates? This epic thread calls for a follow-up. How's your PLO journey going so far?

Back at N8 under different SN huh Laugh

@doclemon What gives me away? SB strategy?

Ofc I have different SN there as the one for challenge was just 15% RB. Most volume now goes on MPN though, but I keep GG for mornings. I need to grind some cash now as I donked close to 1/3 of roll for vacation

I've decided to make a volume goal to make 50 eur in RB every day I play (5 days/week). I cannot control variance, but this should bring me in 1k eur/month anyway.

What are you playing atm? how long (how many hands) would it take you make 50e in RB?
Posted 6 years ago
@mattusko I'd say it takes ~6h of 5-6 tabling NL50, but I have good RB now. This week I've been failing to reach 50e mark, I get ~30-35e/day as I don't get in 6h of play and often I don't get enough action for 5-6 tables. I have 0 tracking (MPN dropped HH's at all at anon tables), so I don't know how many hands it takes.
