Note to myself - don't drink wine in late dinner if you have planned a session afterwards.

What's your thoughts on the VIP programme changes coming into place on 888 MG? Not sure what to make of it... Link

Wine is some incredible stuff that is for sure. Makes you either super tired or super energetic (drunk) so not ideal for grinding that is for sure!

Hows the pad looking?

@colly191091 New changes are awesome, now instead of massive 9% RB if I rake like 2.5k$ I'll get to gamboool at -EV roulette table to get w/e of reward % they decide, probably less than 9%. So in short - fuck you 888. And yeah, it turned out there actually was an extra 25% RB deal for all those Russians, wp 888, I'm done with you!

Also, after changes in PS, games at 888 have gotten tougher. Not sure what will happen now when 888 assfucks regs even more, probably a high % will leave (including me).

Also, bye bye rake-free TonyBet games! Smile Now they'll have a funny RB system, one can get 25% 1k reload bonus, then if you win more than 100 a day, no extra RB, if you swing -100 to +100, you get extra 25%, and if you lose over 100 a day, you get extra 55% for total of 80% RB. Therefore - winning players get less RB than losing players.

I think I will check out Unibet. I've gotten pretty fed up with all the bum hunting going on these days, so no table selecting sounds good.

On top of that, month has not started well obv. Looking forward to dropping stakes!

I think I must do a coaching session next week before I go into some weird destruction mode. I think I'll also make a video for @Jon-PokerVIP to review at 888 just right before I leave the site.

^ I'm not sure I want to go into details much as I don't want to be disrespectful to the girl involved. I guess you can imagine most of what happened from what I wrote already..

Finally a good day at office! Been a while since last one. The change I made today was upping the number of tables. As I don't play zoom, and I start the tables - very often I got just 1 or even none tables going. I think it's crucial I change it. Another good thing about adding more tables was that I actually was way more focused than when I got like 2 tables going - I didn't feel the need for surfing in interned as all of my attention is required for tables. I will continue this approach and in some time I'll see how it correlates to my actual results. And yeah, in order to get enough tables I have to play down to NL20 as well (sorry NL20 players).

Also, being on the happy side of these helps. Smile

Yeah I'm finding this myself. I'm a speed player but still find I get distracted or even bored if not much is happening so I've upped the tables to either 3 or 4 (mood dependent) and I'm finding I'm switching on more and less inclined to play a hand too out of line trying to make something happen.

I think this is my 2nd or 3rd worst stretch in my 'career'. I'm not losing, but it's like a break even stretch since end of January. I estimate it's just 50k hands, so theoretically all good - I just have to avoid my spews. I wouldn't mind a little run good though.
Posted 8 years ago
yeah..... these are all really awful :') like really low level poekr man Wink

J7s CO open, ok it was a cooler post but its too loose to open it.

The AK I think isn't a cbet all the time OTF, we block the hands that will likely fold, I prefer to x/r w/ Ad or x/c or just see ti go x/x. Once he raises like we have sooooo many Over pairs, flush draws that this is either a 3b blocking NF + likely 2 OC or getting it in v FD or a fold. Calling I don't like at allllll

AQ I don't understand the turn check. We continue with all Kx, AA and have one of our nut blockers. The river jam isn't awful tbh but it just looks suspect as we don't check the turn with our value hands much.

The ATs I do not understand at alllll. This board just smashes his range and once he calls the raise OTT just give up!

Break even over 50k hands, how much have you given up through tilt? 10buy ins maybe? At 50nl that is like a month rent for you? Has got to be number one priority imo, you just can't afford to tilt when you're a pro especially when an "average" month pays rent food and gives you a little extra to save!
Posted 8 years ago
@CrazyCookie Right on spot, as you usually are! J7s is standard open in w34z3l's range that I use, it is bottom of it though. I don't tilt very often, so I don't have that many more hands that qualifies as pure spews. I guess most of damage comes from switching into auto-pilot and playing passive. I guess you can get away with it at NL20 or so, but at NL50 there is usually 1 fun player and 4 Russians (some of them are possible bots) at your table, and in environment where rake cuts away like 40-50bb/100 you just can't come out on top when auto-piloting. Red line just dives down.

As for the spew hands, I have no idea what I'm doing there. The pattern starts with not planning ahead anything and not even thinking about ranges. It's just clicking buttons thinking 1 street at the time. Like you said, AQ river jam itself isn't bad, but after the turn check it makes little sense.

Tried out Unibet today. Played OPL timbey, lost. Also used my free 2 eur Unibet open step ticked, binked and got to 10 eur step, binked that one as well and now I got 50 EUR ticked. I think there is 250 eur step, and just then the real thing, so I guess I'll look to convert this to cash if possible.

Messed with NL25 games, they are fun. I lost a BI. I guess I could have saved one, here's the hand: I open 3x UTG KsKx, get 3 callers. Flop Qs8c5s, I bet 2/3, get a caller from BU (we were 28 eur eff at start of hand), turn is 3c bringing double FD. I bet 5 eur into 7.5 pot, get clicked to 10 eur. I think about folding, but LOL Unibet, so I call and see 8x River. Board now is Qs8c5s3c8x, and I x/c 15 eur more. He shows 88 for quads, nh. I guess at these games I should have folded turn, as 'turn raises are usually the nuts'.

I think you can only convert Unibet open ticket to cash if you actually win the whole package and you get like 50% of the actual package worth. But try at 2+2 official unibet thread if it's possible.
I guess it's too early to compare, but how do you find nl25 at unibet vs nl30 at 888?
Posted 8 years ago
@Kasa Yeah, looks like I just have to bink that Unibet open thing. Level at 25/30 is probably somewhat similar. I haven't played much in any of those stakes though. Also, it very depends on time of day. It's easy to find yourself in -EV game with 5 Belorussians. So far at Unibet I haven't really cared about line up, I just play anyone which is not the smartest thing obv.

In other news - looks like I'm gonna be busto in a month or so. I paid the rent for April, and now I'm left with ~1.4k eur to my name. I'm not an optimist, and I can see myself going bust if my bad run / bad play goes on. I'm not even rolled for NL50. Mathematically the chance of me busto is probably higher than the other option. Laugh The plan for worst case scenario would be to move back to live with my bro in a house owned by my dad, where living expenses are veeery low. I can probably find a decent staking deal and grind my way back, or just drop stakes drastically. The worst part is that I'd lose my 450 eur security deposit for breaking my contract before time.

I hope none of this will be necessary and I hit a decent heater. Not looking that way though, today I lost like 4 BI's in less than hour, where 2 were coolers, 1 I got in 86% good, and last one was maybe a bad river call, I'm not sure really, might be all right.

Fun times ahead

Hello my readers!

I took a couple days off while doing literary nothing - laying in bed most time, watching movies and not even going out much. Felt a bit depressed and I even think I had (maybe still have) some health problems. Today I slowly started to play poker again - no cash games, just used few Unibet tickets and played OPL there. Bricked all but Unibet Open 50 EUR step.
Now I got this beauty:
Attached Image

It's not possible to convert it to cash, so I'll play for 2000 EUR Unibet Open package. There is one timbey Sunday night with 5 packages guaranteed, but I might be out that time. Next one is Wednesday with just 1 package guaranteed. This is the closest I've ever gotten to major live event, so I'll take that cash game aids run if I could luckbox this one.

#prayforMG,

Post on here before you go live, would be in for a rail if I'm around.

I think you can convert the ticket to cash bonus. Still need to clear it though. There is a thread on 2+2 with the Unibet rep on where you can ask them to do that. I've not done it myself so I don't know the rules for it, someone told me about it on my journey. I enjoy using the tickets to break up the grind through.

Having said all that, just smash the ticket bink, win the live tourney, cash out, rub all the munnies on titties.

You can only change UO tickets into smaller tickets, like I could change this into 5x50 eur UO ticket. If I got it correctly, you can convert those PLO4 tickets etc into bonus. I suck at tourneys, I play them as cash game if my stack allows it. Laugh But it isn't that bad approach I guess. But yeah, they are fun!

lol funny story. Maybe some of you remember I added a secret Euro site to my pool of rooms. It's name was Yachting poker. At first it was all right, but then game just died - I was open sitting NL50 tables for weeks without any action, so I decided to cash out and use those funds elsewhere. But surprise surprise - can't do it. Contact support, and in couple of days they get back to me saying that they don't allow players from Latvia anymore and asked for my bank account so they can wire my balance. And fortunately they did, received funds Yesterday. The fun part - this morning I received a phone call from my bank inquiring about this transaction. They said that this gambling operator is unlicensed and basically if it happens again they will have to end our business relationship.
