Dodgyyyyyy hahaha

Have you left 888 for good now?
Posted 8 years ago
Nah, haven't left yet. Not sure where to go, I got into Unibet already. Losing all the time there at NL25, but massively below EV I guess. Busto in progress. Quite frankly I don't have the joy for poker cash games anymore, but I guess it's due to losing money.

The ammount of stress you have put on yourself living as a pro poker player with the bankroll that you did imo was always likely to end this way :/

The emotional tilt you must go through when just loosing a few buy ins must be awful given at 50nl that is like 50% a months rent?

My suggestion would be to put two months rent aside in your bank (if possible) and grind 10nl to rebuild your roll. It will horrible and tough and I would hate to do it but I think the alternative is likely busto and that is a clear thought in your mind right now.

Hello!

I took even more days off poker, and started to play again today. I dropped stakes to NL20 at 888 and NL10 at Unibet. NL10 is just super soft there, I think I won 5-6 BI's there today (above EV). Won a bit at 888, so a good day and massive boost to my confidence. I CAN DO IT!

I think I'll play Unibet Open final on Sunday. It starts 2am my time (00:00 UK time) and has 6(!) packages guaranteed. Yeah it's super late for me, but it's even worse timing for Russians, therefore theoretically softer field against Canadians / Aussies? I got a race Monday ~10am (~4k city run), but I'm willing to sacrifice my sleep on this one. Red Bull ftw!

Good plan there bro with the timing to play the final! Really wishing you the best of luck.

Glad you have found sound run and feel good dropping down for a bit.

Keep it up!

Haha, thanks!

Rough day at office. Got to sleep 5am, for some reason woke up 9am and couldn't fall asleep anymore. Couldn't fall asleep also when I went for power nap midday. I find it very good, as my sleeping schedule was fucked up. Usually I have very light (not sure this is the right word in English, sorry) sleep, I wake up to noises, It takes a while for me to fall asleep etc. - therefore sleep takes way too much time if I want to get ~8h in.

Unibet wasn't friendly today, maybe 4 BI below EV and also got QQ vs AA against fish and didn't suck out. Somehow managed to BE for the day. NL10, heh? I find it very easy to run over anyone, ppl fold soooo much lol. Lost 10$ at 888, not much was going except 1 semi-spewy bluff wen't wrong. And it all feeling half dead after not getting proper sleep.

Update

I hope all of you had great Holidays! I certainly did. Quality time away from computer screens. I didn't play UO final as I got home 2h before it started and felt super tired, so went to bed instead. Yesterday, I competed in city sprint race, and meeting a lot of my friends I hadn't met in a long time gave me motivation to actually train more and get back to competing! Not in semi-professional way as I did, just for my own pleasure. Target is to do 3km ~9:40-9:50 by summer, and half marathon like 1:20:00 by July. I can get there by just 4 training a week if I do it GTO way.

Poker - played 3xNL10 at Unibet and 2xNL20 at 888, won 100 or so today. Very easy games. Will keep grinding these stakes couple of days, and then upper the stakes, idk.

Funny thing, right now I feel much better than I did back when my roll was fat and winning a lot. I guess life if more exciting while struggling. Or maybe it's just Spring kicking in this forsaken land.

How different is the rake between unibet and tonybet btw?
Posted 8 years ago*
^ No idea as I haven't played at TonyBet since they introduced rake.

Interesting day, lost stacks in midday session, just couldn't win at showdown with top of my range. Happens. 2 of my river overbet bluffs got looked up. I didn't expect NL20 player to call 3xPot with 6X on K96K2 although my line made absolute no sense (I would have called fast in his place). Broke even in the end (up EV) :/

Got interesting hand at Unibet. 3handed, 150bb eff. I'm on BB with As9s and call 3x open from BU. Flop is Ks6s4x, I x/r his 1/2 PSB, and he 3bets. I call. Turn is 9x, and I x/c ~60%. River is Ax giving me 2p, and I donk jam 1/2 PSB and he calls with KK. I guess my jam was a mistake as I fold out all of his bluffs (if there are any). But on the other hand, he can have K4, K6, 64 which would probably x/back, but might call as I could have busted FD. So w/e.

Played a 2300 euro pot on there last night - KQ, Flopped nuts vs top set (AAA), river paired, he checked, I jammed to rep missed flush draw and GG

Oh shit, brutal. NL1k? Who was the villain? I remember there was just 1-2 guys open sitting those tables.
