Shit is going down on Monday!

Spent most of today and Yesterday setting up OBS / twitch etc, and I'm actually feeling very hyped about it!

If you missed, I'm doing 100$ to 10k$ challenge where I have to stream it all on twitch.

How was your first day ?
are going to save some streams for later viewing ?

Did not bust on day 1 so all good

Did not pay much attention to tables 1/2 of day as stream was lagging I had to tweak settings jadajada. Before lunch break was down to 60$, but finished at 87$, so all fine.

How do I save streams? I see other people have videos saved, if I found out how, I will.

Sure I want some income from stream as well, unfortunately subscriptions are only for twitch partners. Hopefully I receive some donations from time to time so I don't need to suck some D for elder males under the bridge for fiver. Also I want to finish this challenge asap of course.

It's strange to me that N8 doesn't force its streamers to avoid using copyrighted music* (Twitch doesn't mute only the royalty-free music from its own library, which is very poorly populated, contains pretty only EDM

).

* Note that it means that you only need to avoid broadcasting copyrighted music; you're still allowed to listen to it in headphones so that the viewers can't hear it.

I don't think there's a need for music at all (except on breaks), as you 4-table and so you have something to talk about all the time.

I'll have a closer look at your stream when I sort my bandwidth out.

Oh, and are you going to play PLO regularly on the stream?

It does look like a reasonable option - GG's PLO rake is 3% vs 5% in NLH, and the NLH rake caps are too big for the micros anyway and don't reduce the rake by much.

I can't promise anything at this point, but if I ever take the $100 -> $10K challenge, I won't be able to do it without playing Omaha

because I've never played cash NLH seriously and Fortune Spin SnGs barely run at their top ($15) level and would be earning too few $/hour anyway if the BR crossed the $2K mark.

@tonycoon If my roll gets healthy I will throw in PLO sessions from time to time, not in the beginning as I feel much more comfortable with 10 BI NL micro game

About the music - I'm not paid anything by N8, so thay can't force me to do shit. They said to use their overlay, that's it.
Also, when I first opened Lex Veldhuis stream, he was downing beers while creating towers of empty cans and had this song on - and he is sponsored by PS

Also considering dropping off NL10 and going straight to NL25. Technically I'm allowed 5 bullets, therefore 20 BI's for NL25. NL25 is not tougher, might even be better as you can't buy in for 10bb as you can at NL10 (so fkn annoying). Gonna battle NL10 few more days and if no traction - pew speww at NL25!

I'd lick their bottoms for such a salary plus the immunity from 'being politely asked to leave with my money on the basis of being too bad for the ecosystem' for the duration of the challenge.

I.e., as far as I understand, if they mean business, the official Twitch streamer status gives not just the extra $10K, but a mandate for a net withdrawal of $20K in total from the network (as long as you don't do anything totally out of line like explicit bumhunting), which would otherwise be more difficult.

Therefore, I'd advise against shooting NL25 too early - if you fail this challenge, you might not be given another chance to win big there.

The day when withdrawing 20k of net profit from a poker site (not taking into account that player has raked more than 20k himself) becomes a privilege, will be a bad day.

I see your point, but I will have to work my ass off for that 10k bonus (it becomes effectively lesser bonus as I get just 15% RB). Today I streamed 6h, and at the end I was totally exhausted, it became very hard to talk logically etc especially with English not being my first language. Sure I will get used to it, but in general - no, I don't consider 10k bonus as a salary.

Got our first winning day, won massive 10$! Nl10 is so fuckin tilting. So nitty. Maybe I should try just always fold vs raises? 2 more days at NL10, and if I keep jerking around starting point gonna move to NL25 most likely and gamboool it up.

Why did you just call the turn with your quads? To me its clear mistake.

I would raise here. He is folding his bad hands, which he is folding to any aggression on the river anyway. I would try to get more value from his good hands on the turn. He is not folding AA to your raise on the turn. After check you can shove the river and enjoy his "hero" call.
