WTF, Jay. Like a Boss!! Will see you tomorrow then, GL.

MilfGrinder: Like, a girl with A cups can stream freely, but if girl has C+ cups - she has to hide her goodies. Even more - if girl has D+ she must wear hijab.
Lol, that's too strict. If more than 2/3 of the surface of each breast is covered, regardless of their size (let's not discriminate by it), that's already socially acceptable imo.

On the other hand, showing a girl wearing a very revealing thong is less acceptable and you'd get infraction points in 2+2 SSPLO if you posted such a pic there.

Going back to the headphones conversation, before you drop some serious dough on something that won't really add that much to your experience consider Superlux products. It's a Chinese company that's known for offering mind-boggling sound quality for super-cheap. The only con is the build quality of headphones and some of the models can be uncomfortable if you have a particularly large head but I've used Superlux HD668B, HD681 and HD681 EVO and I can't recommend those enough. Again, they can be uncomfortable for some so it's best to try them out first but the sound quality is insane for the price and they have low impedance which means you don't need to buy an amp or DAC to drive them.

When it comes to headphones it is the same it is with sunglasses. Never buy any if you haven't tried them on in real life. In the past I made the mistake to buy several headphones and sunglasses over the internet, just to send them back the other day.
Especially when comfort and sound quality is a huge factor for MG, he should just go to a random electronics or musicstore, try out several models and then google for the best deal. Expertline imho.
Anyways, no insult torwards Matts tipp. I know a guy who has Superlux phones and he is very pleased.

Ok, so I just ordered HD681 EVO black, but gonna get them in just 10 days Sad I don't have large head, so should be fine. 34 EUR. Looks like you save me once again @MattVIP ! Maybe you can suggest something for monitor at 32" ball bark? I'm eyeing this LG 32MP58HQ-P atm, what do you think?

@nojusticenopeace I hate shopping in general. I hate trying on things. Especially when I've got no clue what to look for and I look stupid. That's why I prefer just asking for advice and snap buying them without second thoughts Laugh

We behave very similar then Laugh Cuz it is not like me doing anything other. Esp when it comes to clothing I usually just binge buy anything that fits my style Laugh Just tried to give good advice tho

As it's often the case in life, people who think 32 inches would make them happy are usually wrong Cheeky What's your reasoning behind this particular choice? When it comes to poker, monitors resolution is much more important than its size. You can fit as many tables on 19'' 1920x1080 monitor as you can on 32'' 1920x1080 monitor. Granted, those tables are going to be bigger on 32'' but also less sharp (using a 1920x1080 resolution when your monitor is bigger than 30 inches isn't all that comfortable since you're sitting pretty close to it when playing poker). So yeah, let me know why exactly do you think that you need a bigger screen, let me know your budget and we'll find something.
Posted 7 years ago
Well, the main issue is that I can't have 6 tables without overlapping on my LG 22MP55, here's the screen how it loogs with 6 open (table sizes are optimal for me).

Also as I'm twitching now, I have to fit twitch chat. I have this old school monitor as my 2nd, it's so bad and I use it only for lobby's, charts and other software.

So yeah, goal 1 is to have 6 tables w/o overlapping, preferably possibility to be able to have 8 tables (I don't play 8 yet, just in case for future).
250eur I guess is upper threshold.

32'' full HD monitor won't solve the issue (assuming that you're using full HD resolution right now). Tables will be physically bigger but they will still overlap (since pixel = pixel no matter the monitor size). If you want to eliminate the overlap you need a monitor with higher resolution than the one you're currently using (so 2560x1440p for example). The cheapest 1440p monitors that I could recommend is Dell P2416D so right near the edge of your budget. Also, I'm not sure if a higher resolution wouldn't affect your ability to stream so it's probably best to research that beforehand.

Ahh, ok, now I'm getting on the same page.
So, basically a wider scereen with 2560 x 1080 resolution could do the trick? So, in this SHOP I can get couple of options. I suppose there is no need to look at 29" LG 29UM58-P, while there is 25" LG 25UM58-P as the resolution is the same and at 29" I just get same thing, but bigger and shittier? I suppose I don't need 2560 x 1440 as 1440 won't fit in 3 rows of tables anyway.
Posted 7 years ago*
Oh yeah, I forgot about the ultra-wide aspect ratio. 2560x1080 sounds like a great option for a poker player. 2560x1080 29'' monitor wouldn't look 'shitty' but I wouldn't pay 2x premium for it when you can have LG 25UB55-B for 200euro. The only problem with ultra-wide monitors is that with content not designed for that aspect ratio (old games, most of the movies/tv shows) you'll see black bars on the side of the screen. That being said movies designed for that aspect ratio look absolutely glorious on ultra-wide (the screen at your local cinema is most likely also ultra-wide).

EDIT: Oh it's only 50e premium (I've looked at a different monitor). In that case, you can go for the bigger one if you feel like you need it. 2560x1080 will not look bad in 29'' as the pixel count will be slightly higher than in commonly used 1920x1080 24'' monitors.

MilfGrinder: I suppose I don't need 2560 x 1440 as 1440 won't fit in 3 rows of tables anyway.
1440 fits in 3 rows of N8 / Tiger tables (I'm not sure about Unibet) and 4 rows of mainstream networks' tables at their minimum sizes (Stars, 888, Party, MPN). Unlike in the old Full Tilt software, minimum sized tables don't lack buttons, their only problem is the font size but, for 888 and Party, it can be improved with special hotkey software.

@MattVIP, once we're at it, which reasonably cheap (as in, under $50 each) mic and webcam would you recommend for a good broadcast quality?
Posted 7 years ago
@tonycoon I'll refer you to the last page of this topic where we discussed the issue with @MilfGrinder. When it comes to webcams the industry standard for streaming (Logitech C920) costs a touch more than 50$ . Same goes for the Samson Meteor which is the cheapest USB mic that's reasonably close to the professional audio quality as far as streaming goes.

Thanks, Matt, I've replied to you in that thread instead of the current one, to avoid derailment.

tonycoon:
MilfGrinder: Would PL suggest her if he did not want to stick it in (not sure if he does, I think I read somewhere that he does it)
PL did coach WH at poker, but as of mid-2015, WH's boyfriend is James 'TheDrunkLife' Whittet, the same as when she started her PGC in December 2014. That's all I know.
Oops, I stand corrected - she's been alone since this January. I don't read PGCs attentively enough Doh! Here's what WildHungarian has told on 2+2 recently:

'First of all let's clear something.

I don't have a boyfriend who would help me. I live alone since January. So almost a year.
Stop thinking you can give credit to a possible boyfriend for the amount of hours I put into streaming and for the things I achieved. Also, you have no idea what I might go through on, so it would be better to stop guessing guys...'

E: oh dear, I'll have to get up early on Sunday to get featured on her Party SnG Hero stream - she starts as early as 2 PM CET = 3 PM EET Sad

Ok, thanks @MattVIP ! So I go for LG 29UM58-P, right? It's 67 eur difference between LG 25UM58-P, but 43 to LG 25UB55-B. LG 29UB55-B is a bit too expensive. Is there a big difference between the -P and -B versions?
-------------------------------------------

Bleh, go sooo close to NL25 today (day 10), was just 5 eur away. Lost a BI at end of day and now BR is 235$ - really hope to hit NL25 quick tomorrow! When I do, I'll play 2x NL25 and 2x NL10 tables until 325$, from there I drop NL10.

1) Big sweat Laugh

From what I can see you lose display port (most likely not important), speakers (definitely not important) and height adjustment option (which can be very relevant or not that relevant depending on your particular setup) + the stand is less robust.
Posted 7 years ago
All right, feeling uber tired and quit the day early. To sum up day 11 - reached 250 mark at morning session and opened 2x NL25 besides 2x NL10 tables and kept that ratio till end of the day. As expected, games are soft there as well, found some traction (no all ins though) and BR is 289$, so almost 55$ increase. No fun hands.

Having weekend off and back on Monday morning! Gonna compete in military orienteering biathlon (is that correct name? Laugh ) tomorrow, basically have to run some distance with coordinates and military map with 2x shooting ranges, should be fun! Laugh Ordered LG 29UM58-P, can pick it up Monday evening!
