Thanks!

Ok, fucked up my sleep schedule, it's really affecting my volume..

Day 47 - 2685$ Mixing in 1 table of NL100.

Day 48 - Morning session was ok, running ok at 100, bad at 50, got it up to 2735$. But evening session came where I was just playing NL50, got rekt. When you play rec's HU and they just hit every hand.. it can trigger me badly. Started to feel tilted and quit, BR 2512$. Had 8 winning days in a row, so what can you do, cannot win every day.

Yes.

Yes you can.

Gonna try harder from now Laugh

Day 49 - just 1.5h session, ran well, got it over 2.7k but lost back some to finish at 2647$. Meanwhile bough all the Christmas presents in a single day, good enough!

1) I really don't like calling off in these spots. I expected him to 4bet QQ and his value range to be just 1010 [3], ok QQ makes 1 more combo. So very small value range while I don't block nut flush draws and KJs. He could jam AQ himself. You guys calling off?

I call here thinking I should fold. 3:1 is hard to fold TPTK, but really though his range narrows from having a lot of draws on the flop to being quite nutted on the turn. Realistically we probably only have ~ 12% vs his range. He probably should have raised flop to rep more flushdraw combos. The check call check raise turn looks a lot more like 55 / TT... Maybe some KJdd ... tough to not give away a few EV$s here.

Day 50 - biggest losing day of challenge so far. Just couldn't win. Probably spewed a bit at the end by calling river bets too light. 2353$

Day 51 - short 2h session, 2487$

Ok, so pretty much break even weak. Volume was very shitty. Now I'll have 3 days off for Christmas holidays and I'll try to fix my sleep schedule!

Merry Christmas everyone! Stay away from PC's, phones! Wink

My daily routine got destabilized recently so I can relate to your struggles. That being said it looks like you're in a good place challenge-wise and I hope you'll crush it next year. Merry Christmas!

@MattVIP Thanks! Hope you had great Christmas as well!

Day 52 - felt very rusty, won like 10$ in cash games, but then went to mass table NL25 8bb All in or Fold (lowest limit) to win that promo for most hands / day. Ultra tilting game, I lost like 50$ (30 below EV). Have to play a bit more tomorrow and then never again. NL25 AoF is not really beatable most likely though. BR 2450$.

Day 53 - decent day overall. I was pot committed to win 80$ prize for most hands/day, so went on to donk away some 30$ more in those push/fold games in 2h session right before server midnight (which is 6pm my time). In total I have lost like 80$ in those games (below EV all the way, but still loosing EV wise), but hey - I won the prize (cash value), so I just wasted my time Laugh I might do it again to take the final 90$ prize - this time I'll study those 8bb push/fold ranges a bit before. I'm sure I can break even at least, and it takes just 3-4h to secure the win, so potentially great hourly. Decent win at NL50 streets and BR is 2720$ . I'm really eager to crush that 3k mark this year!

Day 54 - not my day. Lost few unfortunate spots and couldn't rostucko although I tried. Phone shut down at night, so no alarm and overslept :/ BR 2655$.

Got few spots
1) Any way not to lose stack vs probably rec? I discounted most 107s combos UTG tbh.

2) Very tempting, but I block his bluff combos (KhXh, QJ) that might take this line. Villain is aggro reg.

3) Tight as your sis

------------------------------------
Put in some work at my 8bb AoF game as I might go for 90$ prize for 31st server time (which I get to play tomorrow post 6pm). Value just seems too high to miss it.

My top secret chart I just made: BB/SB is nash push/fold, my CO, BU shove range I took from internetz, and BBvCO/BU calling ranges I created coming out from 45% necessary equity - these are all hands 45%+ against my own push range. Other positions and multi way gonna improvise I guess, but this is ok starting point. CAN I BREAK EVEN via 5k hands? Laugh

Day 55 - won at cash games and 3h before server midnight went on to test my push/fold chart. Guess what? It worked and I booked 10$ profit from 3k hands Laugh So, the charts got me breaking even but I ran a bit over EV this time. I had 1.25k hands from cash games as well, and it was enough to take down 90$ prize! Sick value.. over 60$/h with my x-book. BR 2857$!

See you next year!

Day 56 - tilting beginning, but managed to rostucko and some profit. BR 2927$. Cannot start a year with a losing session!

1) Ok

This thread makes me happy. #prayforMG

I recently rewatched the Mulholland Drive because of you and I'm wondering where do you stand when it comes to movie interpretation. I think it's intended as a critique of the Hollywood machine that routinely crushes dreams of good vulnerable people. I also think that fans read too much into the movie and like with every other great work of art the conscious intent wasn't the only driving force behind it - with improvisation and luck having a great effect on the final product. What I mean by that is that if you had the chance to ask Lynch about his interpretation even he couldn't decipher some of the themes for you.

Also, I forgot Melissa George was in the movie and since she's just about the only celebrity I ever had a crush on, this scene made me very happy:

The ominous ambient music at the beginning - pure genius.

@MattVIP Yeah I think we are on the same page there. I got no clue about movie after first time I watched, but after 2nd time it got somewhat clearer, I was able to think of a line that made sense and I saw how brilliant the movie really is! I tried to watch Eraserhead few years ago, but clearly I had no chance "getting it" that time. Probably I'm still too dumb, but I'm considering a second try.

Day 57 - finally cracked that 3k mark, so 10k hand b/e stretch is over! BR 3123$. Gotta start adding more and more NL100 tables, still I don't feel comfortable there, but games are not much tougher and I know I can crush them!

1) Should have gone bigger heh

In spots like this one, I refer to Tommy Angelo quote: "Bankroll management is like buying mental insurance". You're doing great and there's no need to rush anything. It's easier to get comfortable by adding those NL100 tables slowly than to go all-in on the idea of "I'm a NL100 player now"! Anyway, as always - fingers crossed.

I totally agree, I don't plan to change my slow stake-mixing approach as it works brilliant. The issue is that I procrastinate and find an excuse why not to play 100 - there are sessions where I just say to myself that I feel tired and sleepy, and therefore I'll play just NL50, or I don't play 100 in morning 1st hour as "I have to warm up". It follows up to quite narrow time frame where I actually mix in NL100. Obviously there are much worse things I could do, but this is just a form of tilt, really.

Day 58 - not the best, not the worst day. Got over 3.2, but lost unfortunate spots and started to play badly. Went for rostucko and got there. BR 3132$.

1) Was so pissed on myself, the biggest spew I've made in a while.

1) bet folding river?
Posted 7 years ago
@Joshk81 Yeah, should be bet/fold. I've got A8s, 88, 109s, even JJ and some QQ to call/jam, so can bet/fold 78s as well as AQ, QJs, x/c KQs and 98s (blocks 109s).

Meanwhile, day 59 rekt me. Roller coster-ed around +100/-50, eventually in final session got rekt at 100 a bit (just a bit more than BI) +KKvAA and finished at 3024$. 150 below EV, so all good. Made some mistakes though at final session due to running bad and "they can't always have it".

1) Not sure if mistake or not, I don't have many better hands on river and 66 is only hand that made sense for him.

2) Bleh, guy posts dead blind, picks up AA and traps like a boss!

3) ok

4) Timed to the last second here vs rec. Really wasn't sure. I've had bad experience calling those jams, so folded. Anyone calls?
